      You should do a video of a PC build (case, ram, cpu, gfx card, etc) that'd cost as much as a Titan V. Either a talking head (with or w/o info-charts) or an actual build.

      As watercooling gure his projects based on watercooling are good to watch. His reviews are mediocre at best as he is biased toward some companies. Never did found him relevant on anything except watercooling.

      anything other than water cooling i go elseway, i don't like his biased reviews, even if the data isn't, his opinion is alot of the time.

      Mr Boatface that is not how this works. When you are relevant for tech reviews of some kind, you need to be transparent and fair. You do not let some companies off with mediocre products because their past products were good, or you have good relationship with them.
      Check how jonnyguru does his psu reviews.

    In fairness the OG titan was also a bit different than consumer parts too, you could enable 1/3rd rate FP64 (double precision) or 1/24th speed in software. Though that was a software cap on consumer parts rather than different silicon. Led to some more use as a cheaper Quadro, before subsequent generations removed even that differentiation.

      John Da Costa I am using the "puny" 480. problem? it's too damn big and interferes with SATA ports. doesn't properly make contact with the pci-e connector. I need a bigger motherboard, but I don't think they make am4 boards bigger than atx

    • @staticburn9641
      @staticburn9641 6 лет назад

      "Puny" was a reference to its performance vs 1070/1080 etc. Mine, a MSI is also big ass, but my case is gigantic (Coolmaster Master Case Pro 5) i have no conflict with any other parts^^
      And yes, its bigger than the ATX board i use (msi x370 gaming pro carbon)

      Eara Soulous And monitors for NVIDIA are too overpriced, so it's why I got AMD RX 480 last year. I got a widescreen monitor with Freesync, DisplayPort and HDMI ports, and in 1080 resolution for $100. A G Sync monitor of the same spec is 3x or 4x the price.

    I'm interested in Titan V about as much as I'm interested in a SR71 Blackbird....love seeing it at Smithsonian...don't need to actually fly one. Volta is future tech, but a little boring to talk about now. Hell, I think we will see more interesting news out of AMD Vega in 2018, so way before we see Volta tech being used for a consumer card.

      Invitix wow... Is this a sensitive subject for you? No need to get so excited. All I said is we really need some competition. How is that wrong? I'm not an AMD fanboy in fact I have an Nvidia card in my computer, but fact is competition brings prices down. This pro AMD or pro Nvidia crap is so stupid that people can't see that we need both companies to be successful if we want to get the most out of what we spend on our computers. So stop shouting your pro Nvidia bs, and stop accusing people of something when you have nothing to backup your argument.

    "Get rid of the tensor cores..." < --- This is the thing you will be embarrassed about saying in 2019.
    Does NOBODY else realize that turning a GPU into a GPU+AI Co-Processor is a monumental, and certainly revolutionary step toward AI in gaming going forward? People will find uses for those tensor cores IN TIME. Natural language processing comes to mind. NPCs you can hold a real conversation with. Massive crowd sims. Sim games at world-scale. I don't know, dawg. It won't happen overnight, but just cutting the tensor cores isn't the right step. They're the next critical spec in ALL NVidia cards starting in 2018, and they will ONLY become more important, not less, until an even better core is developed. Be amazed, and be optimistic. :)

    • @MichiganSunde
      @MichiganSunde 6 лет назад +1

      I think GDC is where the practical application of Tensor Cores in game development and VR will actually be revealed. I don't know enough about TCs (get used to that abbrev.) but if they could be applied to things like inferring skeletal movement and muscle flexion from a limited number of tracked points in VR (head, hands, feet), how fucking DOPE would that be>? #hype

    • @jcm2606
      @jcm2606 6 лет назад +1

      Far as I know, TPU's (the *actual* name for a Tensor core is a Tensor Processing Unit, it's a technology that Google invented and it became standard for machine learning oriented processors) are just computation units, like floating-point or integer units, that are specifically intended for matrix operations. Traditional GPU architectures handle matrix operations "decently", good enough for real-time graphics, but still can be a ton better. And since machine learning is all about matrix math, the machine learning industry needed a dedicated architecture for handling matrix math, which is where the Tensor concept was born.
      While I don't think we'll see 640 TPU's for a long time, I'd be interested to see if they perhaps include a couple TPU's per SM, so the GPU has *some* to work with.

    • @MichiganSunde
      @MichiganSunde 6 лет назад +1

      jakemichie97 TPUs, that's riiiight, damn I had heard that before. Thank you for sprinkling real facts on my silly ramblings. :) They say any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, but math is so utterly beyond me I think people who can tip at a restaurant without a calculator are all warlocks. I also know, though, that John Carmack has been warning about the end of Moore's law for the last couple of years as we reach "molecular limits" on the number of transistors we can pack into chips, and it's going to be innovative, better ways of leveraging those transistors (like this matrix math, which I understand only insomuch as the rubicks-cube representation they use makes me say "Oooh!") that's going to keep us moving forward when we run out of brute force.

      @ArtisChronicles 6 лет назад +1

      Ana Duarte Montenegro none of those cards are voltages based architectures. congratz on using pricing trends to try to tell him he's wrong, but Nvidia has no competition at this point. if AMD uses another RX 570-580 level performance card as their mid-range cards then Nvidia can raise prices for more performance. 1060 and 580 are practically equals because of different apis now. if it was just DX11 for everything then we'd already see higher pricing than when Maxwell was the current architecture. AMD has been lagging behind for a while, it just got a lot worse with Pascal.

    • @SuperSilvi1990

      F1N1SHEDD true only the people who are gonna stick a water block on their gpu will buy reference and even then they'll buy an AIB and find custom water blocks for that. Nvidia should revise their reference cooler so that at least it's more appealing to those who dont want to see their card run at 80+ degrees Celsius when gaming lol

    • @dante5499
      @dante5499 6 лет назад +11

      XK XK Don't talk out of your ass dipshit. This isn't a gaming card precisely because of the cost to performance ratio for gaming. The card is specifically designed for more workstation based work, due to it's increased double precision capabilities etc.
      If you buy this only for gaming, you're either misinformed, or you've got more money than you know what to do with.

    • @commenter9703
      @commenter9703 6 лет назад +6

      XK XK that doesn’t make it a gaming card. Obviously it’s faster than the Titan Xp but that doesn’t make it for gaming. Wait will the mainstream Volta comes. I’m sure one of the cards will be equally as fast as the Titan V in games For was less money, but will lack the Tensor cores so it will not have the amazing compute performance.

    • @Aereto
      @Aereto 6 лет назад +1

      While it has better precision computation, I would rather get AMD WX cards for dedicated render or CAD duties which is what I can only do with the resources and build purposes I have. I would also settle for Threadripper for my planned workstation/server hybrid, also...
