As I enjoy cooking, I never wanted a cook in my household. But when I went to India (Bangalore) for a few years, I had no other options, as I was working full time and my aged Mother in law, and Mom came to stay with us from Kolkata. They taught all the typical Bengali dishes to our Kannadiga cook and within a few weeks she was a pro in preparing shukto, alu jhinge posto and machher jhol😊 teaching part is a struggle but afterwards it’s just blissful!

everyone worked for family’s bread n butter . i had taken 24 hours maid for my baby . in last 20 months at least 4-5 person came and i had tried my best to teach them . but end of they it’s a utter frustration only . let’s see what happen in your case

I can totally understand the maid scene . Because I have had these experiences with my maids too. It’s not easy . We spend all the time teaching them the work and our work slow down a lot . Keep 2 part timers -
A) who can do all your top work and outside work only
B) another one , who would come and do only kitchen meal prep work , helping in cooking ,fridge cleaning , kitchen cleaning type of works .
So you don’t need a person living in your home and you can enjoy your privacy too. Try and see. It’s my suggestion .
I completely agree. Plus, if one is on leave we atleast have another helper.
