Good luck with your surgery to you and your husband. Best wishes for a quick recovery. Momma loves you GB Michelle shouted you out and that’s how I found your channel. I enjoyed watching your videos.❤
I find stitching on aida much easier because of my eyes i occasionally stitch on eavenweave because its very uniform but its smaller projects. I am discovering the world of new stuff because of floss tube i love that there is something for every one. I hope your operation went ok and hope you and your husband have a speedy recovery. I think you are doing such a brilliant thing and hope it all works out for you both.
Lovely to meet you and spend time with you Julie. You have some great projects and I look forward to following your journey along the way. I'm an adia stitcher, have used evenweave before but prefer aida. Take care and happy stitching 🌷🌷 from Judy in New Zealand (FT: An Aussie in a Kiwi world)
My first time with you! That was a lovely video, very well made and just the right length! I like your variety of patterns. I also like the flavor of peach anything, so we have all that in common. I hope the great adventure you and your husband are on turns out successfully and I'll be waiting to welcome you back hoping for the best possible good news!
I just found your channel tonight.I enjoyed your video and your beautiful projects. Prayers and good vibes for you and your husband. Hope you both heal fast. Happy stitching/
Wow! Just found your videos today so I watched them all. So glad you're loving cross stitch and I truly hopes it helps you during your recovery. Such a blessing to be the match Craig needed in life and in health. God bless you both.
Its so exciting watching you discover all the cross stitch things and watching your WIP count going up and up! I definitely agree that the Shannon Christine patterns are really pretty...and addictive 😂 I love the Little Dove patterns too...and I hadn't spotted the sale but I might have to browse now 🤪 I have everything crossed for you and Craig next week and hope you will be able to enjoy some stitchy time afterwards 😄💜
Hi Julie. Just found your channel. I'm from the UK too. Love your stitching and I have subscribed. I look forward to watching more of your videos soon.
Thankyou so much for the shoutout ❤❤ loved your video and your stitching is beautiful … sending tons of good luck and lots of healing vibes for you and your husbands surgery/recovery ❤❤ xxx
Thank you for the mention! Stalk away, I don't mind at all! Loving your stitching, the Little Dove Designs Coffee piece is lovely. Good luck for Friday, I hope you both have a speedy recovery and get lots of stitching done! x
Hi Julie! Just found you, lovely video and projects! Looking forward to seeing your progress and update. Wow, donating your kidney to your husband, what a gift!
Your video popped up and I noticed that I follow you on instagram. I enjoyed seeing your beautiful stitching. Wishing you all the best during this time. 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Enjoying your updates, Julie & your rekindled passion for cross stitch. Wow, what a gift of love between you and your husband. Wishing you both all the very best & a swift recovery over the coming weeks xx
What a great thing you're doing for your husband! I wish you both all the best❤ I enjoyed watching your videos and loved your wips! I am looking forward for the next video!
Another fab flosstube! Like you I’ve recently returned to cross stitch, Aida is my comfort zone, and looks great for more modern designs, but I’m teaching myself to stitch on evenweave, though no smaller than 28ct. Evenweave looks better for a lot of designs so I’ll persevere but I swear I must have my tongue sticking out the side of my mouth with concentration! My eyesight has deteriorated a lot too and I swear by light up magnifying goggles, they are brilliant and come with 5 different strengths of lenses. They also made stitching on black Aida much easier too. I look nerdy and daft in them but they’re a life changer! Will be thinking of you this week as the anticipation builds for you for Friday, hope it goes as smoothly as it possibly can for both of you. Take good care of you.
Great channel! Laura from Stitching By the Shore gave you a shout out!!! All my prayers to you and your hubby!!! God Bless You!!! Welcome to floss tube!!
Just seen your video for the first time Julie and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you so much, wishing you both a speedy recovery, and just to say anything above 16 count is a non no, as it strains my eyes, I just stick to 14 count as its so much easier. Anyway Julie thankyou once again. Xxxx😊
Congrats on flosstube number 3! Everything you shared is so cool - trying very hard to resist buying all the things youre working on! Especially the Springtime Sun! Ill be thinking of you for the incredible kidney donation surgery on friday. So glad you treated yourself to those goodies - very much deserved. 💖💖💖
It is a wonderful thing you’re doing Julie, wishing both you and your husband a speedy recovery from the surgeries. I do adore that Hello Spring design, has she done the other seasons too? I only just grasped WIPGO this year, I think it’s basically a bingo board that you fill with your stitching goals, and then the 2 numbers that are ‘called’ (I’m not sure by whom) each month are the goals that you work on. If you complete them you can reward yourself… Hopefully I’m on the right track there 😆
Oooo I will look into the WIPGO thanks. Yes there are all the other seasons, the summer one has ice lollies on it, it's great! Thank you for leaving a comment
I encourage you to just be yourself and do t be pressured into conforming. This includes what you call your projects (WIPs, starts, etc) and also what you stitch on. It is 1000% percent acceptable to stitch on Aida if that’s what you choose! It is 1000% not okay to stitch on something you don’t want to just because others feel you should.
A wonderful flosstube - I loved every minute. We have really similar tastes - I’m a big Little Dove fan too and you’ve enabled me on a couple of things (definitely going to check out that subscription box!). Wishing you and your husband a swift recovery ❤️ PS your branding is *chef’s kiss 😙- so pretty. See you next time 😍
Ah thank you! I have a business doing social media so it's really interesting you say that - thank you! I haven't treated myself yet this weekend but think I need to! Thanks for the good luck wishes!
Oh wow, massive luck and love to you and your man during the surgery and the recovery. I also have a Craig who I’d give a kidney for too, like you he is my perfect match. Hey in your last video you mentioned the 11x11 Qsnap was a bit big, have you tried making a hybrid 8x11 instead? It allows the width without the depth…. Hope you get lots of stitchy time while your own stitches heal, be kind to yourself. Take care, Nic x
Best wishes to you and your partner for an uncomplicated recovery. Abdominal surgery post op pain can really surprise you. Take it easy and enjoy your down time. Keep your pain meds by your bed. Rolling over and getting up uses an amazing amount of abdominal muscles.
I can only stitch on Aida. I am visually handicapped, use bright light and magnifier if it is 16 or 18 count. At night if I stitch, I wear +6 magnifying glasses to do 14- count. I ignore fabric count snobs who talk down about Aida. I have no problem stitching on it. I just have to make sure the patterns I stitch have specialty stitches that can easily work on Aida and that there is no 1-over-1 stitching.
After watching Laura from Stitching by the shore who gave you a shout out, I popped on over. Really enjoyed your video and intend to watch the first two and have subscribed. I was just going to say, please tell us the count of fabric, when up you popped with telling us it was 16 count. I have never and do not ever intend to stitch on anything smaller than 18 ct. I usually only stitch on 16 ct.. I want to enjoy stitching and not try and figure out where the bloomin holes are, and did I do it over 2. I want it to be a no brained and just enjoy the process.
I am very new to these videos so I am still unsure of what I am supposed to say but I believed that people can stitch designs on whatever fabric they like?
I can’t stitch on anything smaller than 16 count. I’ve tried everything, but my eyes just won’t cooperate and I would rather stitch without frustration, so I stitch on Aida exclusively.
Another wonderful video. Good luck on the surgery! For stitching remember EVERY stitch counts…. Loving watching a beginner stitcher explore all the good things. ❤
Good luck with your surgery to you and your husband. Best wishes for a quick recovery. Momma loves you GB Michelle shouted you out and that’s how I found your channel. I enjoyed watching your videos.❤
Thank you so much Mary

I hope your surgeries have gone well. ❤❤❤
All good, we are recovering now

I’m over sixty and I’m an Aida girl although with 3.0 readers and my contacts, 16 count is my fave
The struggle is real!!
I can’t stitch on anything smaller than 16 count. I’ve tried everything, but my eyes just won’t cooperate and I would rather stitch without frustration, so I stitch on Aida exclusively.
Yes I think it will be the same for me
