  • Meet Nilesh Mohite, one of the many who has benefitted from Ratan Tata's philanthropy. The 37-year-old is an artist and he admits that Mr. Tata's struggle, patriotism and uprightness has inspired him. He has met Mr. Tata several times and has gifted paintings to him over the years.
In 2022, when Mohite was desperately searching for work after the Covid-19 pandemic, Mr. Tata helped him exhibit his work at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace.
For two and a half months after that, Mohite worked day and night to create 19 paintings. He showcased them from September 24 to October 2 in 2022. He also sold a few paintings after that.
