I love it so much I had to get all the collections of it - including the BEGINNING. " And, am presently on my eighth time watching the complete series in order. I started getting the individual collections, and, wound up getting the whole series, altogether. I had gotten 8 individual collections before getting the complete series in one package. Dark Shadows will always be a favorite series of mine. 😀
At first, Barnabas is so confused & has doubts about witchcraft & about who is actually a witch. So Barnabas had to find out from Ben Stokes by insisting him to write the initials. Ben hesitated. Then he wrote the initial "A" So, now Barnabas suspected that Angelique is the "WITCH." When Barnabas returns to the Old House, Barnabas intends & attempts to poison his wife Angelique. What happens next?
Actually, Barnabas tries to kill Angelique by shooting her in her left shoulder. But, Angelique doesn't die, so, to get her revenge, she puts the vampire curse onto Barnabas. Lots happens after then including story lines about other vampires, werewolves, a Frankenstein character, Leviathans, Parallel Time, a disembodied head, Possession, and, various other things involving the main characters playing other roles. Johnathan Frid also acted in the part of a character named Bramwell .. it's only at that time when Barnabas actually professes his love for Angelique and how he has really loved her all along. It's too much to get into here - you'll have to watch the series to get the proper timeline in order. 😉
Barnabas must be pretty thick if he thinks Angelique is a loving wife. She loves no one but herself! I felt like smacking Barnabas and telling him to wake up! Poor Victoria! "Angelique is the witch, Barnabas! Wake up!" ~Janet in Canada
