But instead they were slapped in the face first with NATO eastward expansion, then Clinton sends the dumbest economist who single handedly destroyed the Russian economy no thanks to "shock therapy", then further children in America brainwashed to THIS DAY! To this day they are taught that Ronald Reagan beat the Russians in the Cold War - instead of that it was the Russians themselves who were the first to instill the Soviet Union and the first to get rid of it because they realized it does not work. And for those who think that many jumped on NATO opportunity because of fear of Soviet reprival need only to look to history - that's precisely the reason the Russians themselves got rid of it - a nation that has been around for 2,000 years and a government under completely new name of Soviet Union that barely lasted 70 years - less then most lifetimes. Here's where the west royally screwed up:
NATO was created in 1949 to counter Soviet atomic threat and Soviets distinguished themselves by being the first country to produce a nuclear warhead (there is a difference). WARSAW was created to counter NATO. UN was created to prevent WWIII and EU was created much later down the road as a currency uniter to prevent economic wars or trade disparancies. All of these worked because Soviet Union was indeed a threat to stability while the Soviets viewed west as a stability threat. They all countered eachother like a balancing act and worked perfectly because of the pact order that was on a geopolitical scale.
However, time was of the essence and the Russians got tired of this checkers game and decided to try to be friendly towards the west. They first pulled out of Afghanistan, got rid of the Berlin Wall, dismembered WARSAW and military installations along with it, allowed for 15 new countries to be formed out of its own chunk territories leaving military personelle there for their own sovereign protection, installed a western based democratic government, signed a START1 treaty and opened their borders for western observers to come in openly. Here is a nation, A NATION that has done more to extend their hand in good faith hoping to be responded in kind. But instead they were slapped in the face first with NATO eastward expansion, then Clinton sends the dumbest economist who single handedly destroyed the Russian economy no thanks to "shock therapy", then further children in America brainwashed to THIS DAY! To this day they are taught that Ronald Reagan beat the Russians in the Cold War - instead of that it was the Russians themselves who were the first to instill the Soviet Union and the first to get rid of it because they realized it does not work. And for those who think that many jumped on NATO opportunity because of fear of Soviet reprival need only to look to history - that's precisely the reason the Russians themselves got rid of it - a nation that has been around for 2,000 years and a government under completely new name of Soviet Union that barely lasted 70 years - less then most lifetimes.
And it wasn't just NATO westward expansion, it was UN and EU and NATO being directly reporting to US corporate banksters with every decision on a whim ignoring Russia and China in the process with conflicts that turned out to be false like operation in Kosovo, Iraq, Libya just to name a few.
NATO, UN, EU, IMF, USA all started out with great intentions and America above all a rich beatiful nation that I am willing to die for and have commited to that cause by having served in the US Army but has been so badly disgraced and Putin looking like a hero in every step whether in Ukraine, Georgia or Crimea - truth can only be withheld for so long.
We have one last opportunity to turn our image around and it is not too late. Back away from Ukrainian mess, quit covering up lies whether it is the Georgian invasion, Kiev riot, Maidan Sniper Incident, Odessa Massacre or the MH17 case. All this has caused is more suffering for the people and resolved little. What's more if US media chooses to lie it can be easily dismissed by simple internet fact check.
Russia and Putin no matter of the past are not the enemy here - pure and simple. Putin is not my president but he has been acting a hell of alot better leader then anyone in the west. He answers questions directly, spends weekly on live air talking to average citizen on every kind of issue and makes direct decisions by himself if necessary.
When have ever seen that happen in the west? How could that be considered a Soviet glory seeker? In Soviet times people and the government were separated like day and night but here we have a case of absolute ignorance. And his responses have three parts as always - addressing of the issue, historical take away and resolution and all without a telemprompter...imagine US president doing the same thing - they're practically like droids compared to Putin.
This is not meant to be insultive but informative and bottom of the truth. America and Europe just like Russia are a vibrant culture and all have offered back to humanity whether its in space, Tesla invention, automobile production, scientific research etc.
We need to work together and this unilateral decision making in what was deemed good intetities like UN, EU, IMF, NATO have now become corrupt and are the Soviet Union now in my view...all in God's hands now and we the people can make the difference!

USA and EU are great engineers of freedom and democracy. Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria are now experiencing a bright future indeed. I`m a norwegian, and I am extremely ashamed of my goverment. The norwegian air force bombed Libya back to the stone age for weeks without a plan at all. Bomb what you see. Not a single evidence is provided that Ghadaffi assaulted his own citizens. What is the options in the middle east countries? A successful dictatorship or a totally failed attempt for democracy? I dont find it strange that Bashar al-Assad killed the demos in Syria. Five minutes after the demos broke, foreign snipers (saudi, quatar, turkey etc.) opened fire against syrian police. This shit was a coordinated plot.
