What some people do not realize is, if you choose the $95 performance tires, you also get a high performance suspension and a high speed engine controller. After building the car on the site, scroll to the summary, find the performance tire option and click on the details. It drops the car approximately .5 inch and stiffens the suspension. It is a bargain for $95. When I built my 2018 300 s,, this is what the $95 performance tire package got you -
    - 4-Wheel Independent High Performance Suspension.
    -
    High Speed Engine Controller.
    - 4 Wheel Independent Suspension Euro Tune.
    - The four-wheel independent suspension on the Chrysler 300S is performance-tuned to corner more tightly at higher speeds for quick, nimble handling.

Chrysler 300s are SOOO underrated for some reason. You do realize a BWM or Audi with the same features (give or add a few) would go for nearly twice as much and not have the same reliability. Around 42K is not bad for what you get: luxury and reliability at a great price.

      3. Style, a 3 series or C class is just another ehhh, but a nice 300, now that's a modern connoisseurs car.
      4. Interior, the German cars have that typical nice but harsh German interior. A nice 300C has a true luxury interior.

I’ve owned two Mercedes and a BMW and none of them ever ran for more than three months without requiring some sort of unscheduled maintenance, often requiring repairs while coming out of the dealer’s maintenance department which was the highest rated on the east coast of the United States. I have no time to spend on such frivolities as I’m busy in business and require an automobile that works. Most of the people that I’ve known have abandoned the two brands for the same reason and have either gone to conventional brands or Lexus.

@@LlyleHunter Never owned a BMW or Mercedes and never will, I turned wrenches for a living for a while and worked on both. It's like they design them to be hard to work on. Repairs that should be simple require complete disassembly which then requires special tools. I can't even imagine what dealer repairs cost. FWIW of the Japanese brands Nissan is my favorite from that perspective. Their better vehicles are well made and made with maintenance in mind. And of course no complaints in that regard about my 300 so far either.
I got my mom a new Maxima in 2001, in 19 years it's only needed 5 repairs and only been towed once. A starter, ignition coils, front wheel bearings, CV shafts, and an Idle air control solenoid. So far nothing on my '14 300, except the very common issue with the leather dash.

Exactly Snek. I couldn’t believe the operating costs. Some years I could have bought a Durango SXT like I have now and set it on fire without claim the insurance and it would have been cheaper to buy a new one than it cost me to maintain that S-Class. Two years it cost over thirty thousand dollars in maintenance and repair costs and the BMW 5 Series was just as bad. I’ve had my Durango since 2012 and I’m on my second battery, replaced my cabin filter and replaced my first headlight last week. That’s been everything. I had a Dakota for six years prior to that which was completely trouble free but was hit by some guy on the run from the police while it was parked and before that I had two really good Hondas but my Accord needed a transmission twice. Still I’ll never buy another European car again.

With sedan sales plummeting. My guess is FCA doesn't want to invest the money to totally redesign the 300. They inherited the 200 when they purchased Chrysler who had put millions into it's development. After three years it was discontinued. Having owned a 2015 200S. It was an Attractive car, but was cramped in the rear seat and with the sloping roofline. It was tight entering and exiting the car. Built on a front wheel drive chassis a performance version was not a viable possibility such as adding a Hemi which FCA has done in nearly every model they sell. My 200 also had transmission issues from day one creating 7 visits to the service department during the first year of ownership. Unfortunately, I see the 300 being discontinued within a couple years as all R&D money is likely earmarked for EV development and continued revamping of their SUV lineup. I really like my new 300C. It still has it's unique styling that seperates it from the other sedans being sold. Ample passenger room. Technology. Refinement from the years of basically being the same car for decades while offer V8 performance only found in more experience brands. My plan is to hold on to my 300C and enjoying the special enjoyment of driving it. Maybe someday my grandkids will pull it from the garage and like me. See how special this car was in a time that SUVs were the consumer choice and EV cars were just starting to replace the rumbling V8s. I had passed on purchasing a 300 for many years until taking my first extended test drive a few months ago. It's a true rear wheel luxury vehicle that offers performance if you pick the right options. I find it to be a fantastic car.

I Love my black with mocha interior 2018 300C and it's Hemi performance. I purchased a dealer demo with just over 6000 miles at half the price as one with zero mileage. Same new car warranty. I can't understand why Chrysler has all the alucard options. Example. My car came with a $30.00 optional cargo net. Really. Now I see some pricing increases for the 2020 300 with expensive optional packages. Since this car hasn't changed for a decade. Include safety options like bliss in the S & C's base price. I can park my car next to a 2020 and no one would know that it's a 2018. My point is there are no major differences. If your looking for a 300. I recommend going with a slightly used demo, or low mileage certified pre-owned and save thousands.

Oh i would NOT SUV´s, the FUTURE is for MID & FULLSIZE SEDANS.... The trend with the SUV´s arrived in the highest level, and now we could see that some goes away from the SUV´s & back, or even now to a elegant &/or sporty Sedan in the mid- & fullsize class. For a Automaker it´s bad, if they cancle cars like the 300 or something else with the right platform design (Must have: RWD, or AWD, NEVER FWD, that´s for sure....)
And yes, there was some years when people swapped to buy a SUV. But i know soo many peopl who´ll sell the SUV in the next time to buy a larger sedan or wagon. And now after they had a SUV they like a larger sedan. But for an Automaker it is so importand to sell the Mid & Fullsize sedan & wagon models too.
To cancle a car like the 300 is one of the biggest fails what FCA could do! However it is a Charger, a 300 or a Challenger. I´m a Auto Designer/Stylist and I´ve some very amazing Design Studies / Drawings for a new Charger, a new Chevy Impala and also an Ford Grand Torino, too. And the most importand factor in the styling for cars like this is that you take a look at the Automakers history and the design and Styling of their GLDEN YEARS. And for Ford it was the Ford Grand Torino what could be a amazing, beautiful sedan like the charger. Also offered with Ford V8 and RWD. For Chevrolet the bad styling of the latest Caprice, or even "Police Pursuit Vehicle" that was a great designed car with the Body on Frame Design (RELLY GREAT!) the styling was the big problem, and i took that platform to give this Caprice & also real Impala a styling of the GOLDEN YEARS of the Chevrolet Impala lineup; The 65, 66 and mostly 1967 styling was the inspiration for the new Impala/Caprice Model, what uses the platform of the latest caprice, and the great Chevy V8´s...In my eyes it is also importand to sell there models also with a Turbocharged Inline 5 Cylinder engine. what should be new designed. The 5 Cylinder in inline design are really really great engines. they´ve also a amazing, beautiful sound because it is not an 4 cylinder ;) and they are so much more in power, variations and possibilities in all. I think even the golden 5 is the great ideo for the smaller engine series in these mid-Fullsize sedans. However 6 Cyl. are also great, i think the cancle the toooo small 4 cylinders series for a new 5 cylinder series. But the all time MUST HAVE is the V8 series of all those Automakers. The ideo with the 5 cyl. is only to cancle the 4 cyl. because a turbocharged 4 cyl. is a really to overblown engine in vehicles with more than 1500kg. Because you can see that problem in the whole auto industry, that they often canceled the really good 6 or even 8 cylinders, and took 4 cyl. with a lot boost to get the same power what the 6 & 8 cyl. made. and the engine failures, serieous motor damages, massiver blown 4 cyl. engines are the result. but for me that isn´t new or something else like that. that was for sure! A 4 Cyl. in a car with more than 1500kg is a 1 way junk car what could never make high mile rates ore even the same problem is about that high power output out of a 4 cyl. with turbocharging. They´re ALL to overboosted out of the stock. only 10 years ago, when they began with too high poweroutput with tubroboost in production, i sayed: Oh NO! These egnine series are all junk out of the stock. we didn´t used that pressures and poweroutput in race car series or also tuning. because we know, that is a lot too much. ad when you take a look at the volkswagen company, they had the lowest poweroutput of all makes. and then they begann with these overboosting of tiniest engines. that was a speciality of makes like Alfa Romeo or someone else who made real motorsport engines. but never VW/Audi! And it was the VW/Audi Company who got & get the most blown engines in the whole industry. WE KNOW WHY!

So Chrysler is saying we've given up on development but if anyone still wants the same old car we'll through them out there for sale. If there is still interest in the Charger and Challenger you'd think a sportier face lift and giving the 300 a more athletic image might boost sales but l think FCA may be content with just allowing Chrysler to die. It's a shame

I gott be honest the market isnt shifting to SUVs companies are making the market shift toward SUVs by saying that's what's happening if that was the case back in 2008 when this "shift" started happening that means that consumers would have been purchasing SUVs WITH OUT companies advertising If what they are saying is true then people would have been purchasing what SUVs were available more then they were purchasing cars which there were a lot more of at that time nothing would have made consumers purchase SUVs back in the 2000s if there wasn't a desire to unless companies just started advertising that which is what they did
