Hello again, i am back here for more, and with a few bugs i've scouted around! But i'll get to that in a moment, now for the gameplay of this version. ya did implement the idea of adding a stage select!, it adds more replay value given the new weaponry for Knot Beret to experiment with. If you had to compare the two, Rising Fire is more like a shotgun (or Flame Shot from Metal Slug if you want a 1:1 comparison, haha.), sacrificing range for more power. While Twin Slasher retains range in favor of multi-direction shots. Might have to wait for the third weapon and see which one is the best for the rest of the runs. Now for the stages, Magmard Dragoon (Sky Lagoon) escape upon defeat now makes more sense visually, instead of bombs exploding, he blasts fire into the roof and makes his retreat from there. (though, i kinda did expect a part of the roof to explode, similarly on how Zero makes his entrance through breaking the roof in X3 intro stage). I am already used in defeating him without suffering any health loss; or losing lives for that matter, but the Volcano stage is something else. I died to overshooting my falls in PART 2, lost a few lives, but i did get both Subtanks (one is in PART 1, the health one is in PART 2.) and the Heart Tank. Funnily enough, i did beat him the first time thanks to using one Subtank, but man is he aggressive. You have to time your double jumps whenever he jumps, or you'll take a good chunk of dmg, staying too close to him will snatch half of your health if the Shoryuken lands. But that's not all! He can also Shoryuken and Dive Kick you in rapid succession! There's also the Flamethrower move, but that's generally unavoidable unless there is enough ground to jump behind him. He wiped the floor against Knot Beret the second time (didn't get to Frost Walrus stage in the first run, ran out of lives in the Snowboard section.), Third time is the charm, i managed to retain the subtanks. The cutscene itself after you defeat him.. Well, i didn't really expect it to go like that. But i did try looking for an Easter Egg and perhaps, alternative dialogue. But Knot Beret materializes a grenade anyway! And Dragoon gets cut off. I did picture a few variants how it could play out. Magmard Dragoon「At my last moments, i will tell you the truth. I did all this because--」 Knot Beret tries to toss a grenade, but all that comes out is thin air. He's outta bombs. Magmard Dragoon is visibly confused at what he tried to do. Magmard Dragoon「...........?」 Knot Beret 「... Nevermind, continue.」 Magmard Dragoon「... Always wanted a fight to the death...with the legendary irregular hunters..」 Knot Beret 「You attacked Sky Lagoon over a fight? Were those casualties just meaningless lives to you?!」 Magmard Dragoon「I apologize.. but he appeared... Told me to work for Repliforce... Goad them into fighting.. never expected you, Nameless Soldier, to give me that fight instead.」 Knot Beret 「He? Who is he?」 Magmard Dragoon「... Sigma.」 Magmard Dragoon self-destructs after his power runs out, Beret now has a better understanding of the situation Knot Beret 「... There is more to this riot that i originally anticipated. I must continue my mission.」
Accidently posted the comment so i had to edit it, oops, second one is more or less if you pressed the grenade button during the start of Dragoon's death cutscene. Plays out the same; since you skip the dialogue entirely, but he does a special victory pose of, scratching his head, turning to the camera and shrugging, before fading to black. Now, for the bugs in Volcano Stage, i only found a few. If you collect the heart tank and die simultaneously, the next time you respawn; the music will be completely screwed up. This only goes away if you die again normally, Second one is when the boss is in the lava, sometimes the shots will get stuck in the air when you're shooting him while he is in the lava. As for Frost Walrus Snowboard section, you can instantly die if you press left when the stage starts, seems like you can stop the board entirely if you press left at any part of the stage. This only works on even surfaces, if the ice is tilted, Knot Beret will automatically speed-up.
Frost Walrus stage? takes some practice, it's better to time your jumps and follow KB "S", but most of the time you'll miss the extra life or the Weapon-Tank. I think i missed a secret regarding the ice blocks (not the heart tank one.), i may retry it later. I love that you took some liberty in adding more to Walrus attacks. He's quite dangerous and can wipe you in seconds if you are not cautious, specially that ice-spread shot attack he does. If only Knot Beret knew about the art of Wall-Jumping. Hey, least Knot Beret "S" had more char development than Green Biker dude!
@@LinKunYi translations were a bit iffy on google, but yandex did the trick. I'll answer them in english. A script that handles how the plot progresses is a neat suggestion. If Beret knows about the big secret, then he might have a chance to stop the Trio Fight in the Space Port. Currently, Beret has the limited choice stage select. three stages to choose from per Maverick/Irregular. It could be player-dependant on choice, As an example, let's say that you defeat Magmard Dragoon and Frost Walrus, but skip towards the Space Port and get to the Colonel first. X and Zero aren't there yet. So you could coerce or convince Colonel in what you've learned from what actually happened in Sky Lagoon, and the info Beret has extracted from the other Mavericks. It won't completely stop the Trio fight from taking place, but Colonel can aid you in the fight. Stopping the fight altogether might require Beret to do a lot of work. Mainly to speak with the Irregular Hunters in the stages they're on and meet up with Colonel on Space Port. I dunno if Memorial Hall is in the plans. Doubt Zero would give Beret a chance to speak given how it went in the Space Port stage. But X? He might be able to listen at what Beret has to say; only issue for Beret is finding them. No doubt Knot Beret may turn into a Vigilante. Searching for information regarding Sigma and quelling the riots.
Nice you already did magma stage and snow wow. So the game will be linear and you wont do all 8 stages? I saw that the the fireball replaces beast slash weapon, i was hoping KB will have 8 unique abilities from the bosses and you will choose 1 of 8 stages . Awesome work!
I feel like the original X and Zero death explosions helped the player realize what killed them so they can avoid the hazard next time. Perhaps you could make the death animation a little bit longer for K.B because i feel like it's too short.
I hate vertical platform sections where the hazards from above and below are out of view until its too late and you have to make a bunch of leaps of faith.

按照目前的設計邏輯
頭目應該分成三種
A普攻強化 (獅子/火龍/未知)
B炸彈強化 (蜘蛛/冰/未知)
C移動強化(魚/未知)
ABC三種關卡各打一個之後就到宇宙港打大混戰,然後獲得第四個強化
我指測是根據你開頭選擇的機體獲得黃金衝擊/激光刀 (象徵X和Z)
最後上太空基地打大決戰
餘下三隻王是 磨菇 孔雀和鷹
孔雀可以參考X的特武,做成可以穿牆的武器(關卡A)
磨菇可以做成分身炸彈,應該會很有趣(關卡B)
由於魚的飛燕腿等同X5的劍盔,所以要做另一個強度一樣但跟鷹有關的移動強化有點難度
大概真的需要飛行或浮空能力,甚至直接給飛燕腿也可以
