discovered as a contractor also, this is all I use now for holsters, I have had many many different ones but these things are pretty tough, they do get dusty inside!!
I just discovered and purchased the Safariland als for my Walther PPQ M1 about a month ago. Im very happy with it. With a drawer full of holsters Im amazed I never ran across it before. I usually carry appendix but owb carry on hip during hiking, biking, camping...outdoors stuff. I've been looking at the attachments and making plans to use that mounting plate to also attach to other things. Vehicle, nightstand, cupboards etc. The als and all its attachments are quality stuff for a great price. Thank you for adding to my mental library of research confirming how valuable the this system is. Great video.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the kind words. The QLS stuff is handy past what most people think. As you mentioned, you can screw a Receiver Plate to a nightstand or just about anything.
Nice bit of coast line mate. I've got the RTi system on all my stuff, little bit smaller, no chance someone could ever break it away by force, but more components to it and definitely pricier. I'm pretty jelly of that MC holster to be honest, keep eyeing them up.
Ya, I cut the scene out with the para-glider in the background, haha. Probably should have left it. I haven't used that system, but I'm pleased with the QLS. And ya, hard to be a MC holster :)
I just bought a Safariland ELS belt for competition use and was trying to figure out how the QLS worked lol. Thanks for the review, now I have a better idea of what I need to buy to complete the rig lol
The QLS is heaven. I have it for I think 3 pistols. Being able to switch from my duty belt to my battlebelt setup is amazing vs having to buy multiple holsters for the same firearm. Random question have any of your weapons sat weird when on your hip. The one I got for my 1911 safariland als for some reason it feels as if the gun should sit lower. It tend to tilt outwards like the weight is set too high.
Took me a while to accept all these new systems. Im an old fogie where the Safariland 070 series reigned supreme but i recently bought into this whole QRL thing and finally spent the money to buy a more modern holster and man i can go from my thigh to my car to my heavy vest with ease i love it. But now i have a dozen holsters laying around probably $500-$600 worth dam it. But i still refuse to buy 1 of those Kydex holsters.
Good review. I love Safariland stuff but damn is it expensive. And I got into it with Safariland customer service recently as I was attempting to buy one of their newer RDS holsters for my M&P Core. The holster, however, isn't available as just a stand alone holster. You MUST buy some type of belt mount with it. WTF? They tout the modularity of their system and the holster is totally compatible with the QLS mounts but they will not currently sell you just the holster and a QLS fork. Sorry, but that is nuts and not what I call very customer service oriented. A good company will work to get you what you need if it's a reasonable request. If you build modular systems, then any component of that system should be available as a stand alone item. It's enough to make go G Code instead but they currently don't have a comparable RDS holster...unfortunately.
I haven't dealt with their CS, but one thing that is frustrating, is their naming/numbering convention. While I appreciate each number stands for something, it is a pain in the ass finding the right holster model. :)
Hopefully someone can help. I found the QLS difficult to put together, with unclear instructions on how to put everything together. I figured out the UBL and the receiver plate but NO instruction on what screws to use with what part of the system. And NO way to attach the fork to the holster. Seriously. Any suggestions or is there a video. I can't seem to find one. Thanks!
One thing you get a lot of, is screws with Safariland. In my packaging I had tons of extras. You just find, trial and error, the screw that allow you to screw the fork to the holster tight enough, without having extra threads sticking up. The same goes for the mounting plate. Are you missing screws?
I was missing screws, however i did order the belt loops, which had the proper screws attatched. Put those on the qls and voila! I have a strong feeling that if i had not ordered the belt loops, i would be SOL. But it all worked out. Thanks for the reply!
Hi, what kind of holster do you have? What holsters fit the QLS? Are they only made by Safariland or are other brands making them to fit the QLS system?
G-Code's RTI adapter works on both 2-hole and 3-hole tactical holsters. You can then use the wonderful Safariland holsters with your G-Code (tacticalholsters.com) RTI system.
Do they make a receiver plate that rides higher? I like the idea of this, and I love my Safariland 6378 ALS, but would like something that attaches and detaches more easily than removing the paddle from my belt/pants.....which doesn’t come out that easily.
One of use misunderstands what the retention levels mean... As I understand it, it is reference to what it takes to "Draw" the pistol from the holster. How would the QLS effect this?

They do, but they keep working. :)
Quick and to the point. Thanks for the vid.
My pleasure man, thanks for watching!

Nice, I'm glad the timing worked out. The QLS is a great setup for shifting stuff around.
Great review, awesome scenary!
Thanks man, I appreciate you watching!
As always thanks fir putting out great videos!
Super nice system.
Agreed, makes is so easy to move holsters.

Yep already
They are awesome.
Thank you I guess I do need to order both items

It’s a brave new world... :)
Morro bay in the background?
Thats Morro Bay. Three Stacks and a Rock!
Looking for a Safariland ALS to hold a CZp09?
Check Safarilands website.
Roger that...the model to get would be anything that fits a glock 21 model..thx
Nice review. NIce place.
Thanks on both counts!
Bra how do u remove the holster from the qls receiver once it snaps in? To change holsters on the same ubl/receiver?
Beach day!

Is that a mid drop?
Yes it is.
Lets see some pics with the mid ride height

Thanks man!
What do you think of the QUBL?
What exact model holster is this?
What is the belt you are using without all your gear
It is the Aegis belt by Ares Gear. Sorry for the delay, comments have been getting lost.
Kit Badger Thank you
Can it be put together without the QLS system? I want this holster for hiking and I don’t need it to clear any amor.
Yes, you can use a regular belt attachment if you want.
Is there also a safariland left handed holster for the qls?
QLS can be mounted on most Safariland holsters since the fork mounts to the holsters 3 mounting screw holes. The fork doesn't discriminate L/R
what kind the belt you have ?
not your battle belt, you regular brown belt!!! looks well made.
It is the Aegis Gunbelt: kitbadger.com/aegis-belt/
Will it fit my G17 with Inforce APL?
Nice review. What brand battle belt was that set up on?
It was on the Brokos Battle belt. ruclips.net/video/mHHL05cM05w/видео.html Thanks for watching.
LOL. Why would you be rolling around in town all LARPed out like you're Delta 😂
I can’t find many holsters I want from safari land for my p07. Can I use this on holster not made by safari land?
As long as the hole pattern matches up. Or just modify it.
Who makes the pistol and rifle magazine pouches on the multicam battle belt?
Blue Force Gear 10 Speed Pistol Pouches and EMDOM IAPs (Immediate Action Pouch).
Hi, safariland 7360 can mount on 6005 single strap leg shroud?
You should be fine. I don't run leg shrouds, buy their system is ridiculously modular. Pretty much any holster can fit any platform.
For me, cool perk is being able to take the gun off my body and store it or put it in a bag without it leaving the protection of the holster.
Whats your set-up to attach it to the battle belt? is it a QLS MOLLE mount or?
I use the QLS Plate and run my belt through it. I've never tried their direct MOLLE plate.
Good deal! I need attach one to my HSGI battle belt so I’m thinking the molle adapter Would be my best bet.

Awesome Cole, good to hear!
What holster is that? Couldn’t quite hear what you said.
It is a Safariland 6354 DO ALS holster.
Good video man.... just the meat and potatoes!
I try and keep it concise. Thanks for watching man. :)
Hey Kit Badger, Do you know if a Glock19MOS fits the 6354DO?
It should if it is running a light.
Hi, what kind of holster do you have? What holsters fit the QLS? Are they only made by Safariland or are other brands making them to fit the QLS system?
That holster is their "DO" optic ALS holster. The QLS pattern of holes is for Safariland but I think some other brands match the hole pattern as well.
@@KitBadgerThanks for your quick reply!!
No problem, thanks for watching.
G-Code's RTI adapter works on both 2-hole and 3-hole tactical holsters. You can then use the wonderful Safariland holsters with your G-Code (tacticalholsters.com) RTI system.
@@delta3two Good to know, thanks.
Do you still use this?
I do on that belt set up. I just got another Safariland holster but haven't got the mounting plate for a new belt set up.
Kit Badger nice! I have the model 6378 from Safariland also the same Qls set up I love it! I’m a weekend shooter and it’s perfect.
Ya, it is really handy if you move your pistol between belts like I sometimes do.
Hey I know where that’s at.
Cool spot isn't it? :)
23 bucks is expensive?
When you aren't a thousandaire anymore it is.
Lars Frederikson wooo!
He does some rad music. :)

You will have to check their site Christopher, but I believe they do. One that sits basically at belt level.
So you turn a level 3 holster in to a level 1. Yeah no thanks.
One of use misunderstands what the retention levels mean... As I understand it, it is reference to what it takes to "Draw" the pistol from the holster. How would the QLS effect this?
