I feel like OG Macgyver and Modern MacGyver's best connecting thread is Mac's persistent quippy personality. In the OG show it was all his inner monologue, in this it just reads like he doesn't have a filter XD
My FAVORITE one (it's not in this video) is when Mac and Jack were tumbling around in the port-a-potty in the middle of a hurricane, and Jack yells at Mac about this not being his (Mac's) best idea, and Mac yells back that if he wants to leave the door is right there. That whole scene was probably my fave with the two of them.
Mac and Jack give me such a Sam and Dean vibe. I miss all four of these characters, but I miss Mac and Jack more than Sam and Dean at this point. I found a home in MacGyver after Supernatural took my heart and stomped on it. I hope we can save our show #SaveMacGyver ❤🖇

SPOILER DONT LOOK BELOW THIS UNLESS YOURE CAUGHT UP okay so I basically went to watch MacGyver and in the beginning of the episode it was talking about how Jack died… But I’m pretty sure I literally never saw that in an episode so I’m very confused why did that happen, it almost seems like an emergency way to get the character out of the cast like maybe something bad happened to the actor
they killed him off in the show because the actor left the show. when he initially left, they simply said that hes going on a mission, leaving the possibility of him returning, but after the actor had no intention of coming back, they killed him off so even the fans don't keep up the expectation of him coming back
I just don’t understand how we got like 5 Netflix Originals and another season of Brooklyn 99 (it’s not bad but I think MacGyver was better) but we somehow can’t find any more money or the writers for another season of MacGyver! #SaveMacGyver

I do adore Matty who took over from Patricia, though. (I'm just angry that they ruined the Thornton name, y'know?) I also have a thing for Russ Taylor, as I instantly knew him as Desmond from LOST, haha! I just about died when Hugo from LOST also made an appearance on MacGyver - gosh, that was sweet. I would've KILLED to see Ben Linus (Michael Emerson) show up as a baddie on MacGyver, OMG!!! 😹 That would've been way more interesting than his turn on Arrow (love Meme-erson, but Arrow is kind of a boring, predictable show that didn't really deserve his talents).
