I finished this last last week and loved it! Like you mentioned, it was the perfect match of fantasy, romance, and suspense. A few other things I liked: most conflicts resolved in a couple of pages since it's introduction (unlike a lot of other, longer fantasy novels). And this duology was a page-turner! All (almost) the chapters ended with a cliffhanger and I couldn't wait to finish it. And again just like you, I appreciated the "mild-romance" (10/10 points for it; although it did seem abrupt, rushed and unnecessary at times) And finally, kudos for a strong female character and ROMAN IS SUCH A CUTIE!
@@jananisreeganesh glad you too had the same experience with this book. Yes I agree it was a page turner with cliff hangers in each chapter. At times the story did feel abrupt and incomplete, like I said I wanted to know more about the gods. That storyline in itself had so much potential to make an entire fantasy series. It’s sad that I never got to those gods who died in the graves. Anyways I guess the author wanted to focus on the love and it’s okay 🫶❤️
The way you're describing the book makes me want to give this a try but you mentioned that the letters are going to her nemesis instead of her lover, that puts me off as I dislike any sort of enemies to lovers stories. They've become super cliche and it makes me cringe. Is that a factor in this book?
@@tirthalily the letters goes to her nemesis instead of her brother. But the hate to love part of this book is not too strong and it ends very soon. The story is much more than that. I think it’s safe to try for you. 😊
Nice! Thank you. I will also read this.
I hope you like them!
