She resigned her reign and gave up her crown 6 months later when she resisted pageant organizer manipulations and refused a trip to Japan. Never been officially dethroned, she is the first and only Spaniard so titled yet. Died of Parkinson's Disease in 2011, may she be resting in peace by Christ's grace.
