I am TB positive has been in isolation in hospital for the pass 25 days, I am taking ethambutol and rifater every morning at 6am, I feel much better and hopefully will get release from the hospital soon. Although I have carry on taking antibiotics for the next 6 months.

I once knew an outlaw. He was such a lovable person. He claimed he wasn't a nice guy, but he did do nice favors for other people who needed it. His leader always had a plan, and it always involved a God damn train. He wanted to leave the gang for his wife; he wanted to get away from his past to live with his beautiful wife. His voice still echoes in my head when he said "when the time comes; you gotta run, and don't look back."

Let me tell you people, TB is a silent killer. I had it for a year and whilst pregnant and it was never picked up. I live in U.K. And even with a fabulous health care system and regular antenatals it was still missed. My baby died during labour because of TB. I also gave it to my son who was 20 months old. We both had our BCG immunisations! I have lost 40% of my lung function and lost my NHS career because of this vile disease. My lungs are fibrosed and I have life long Bronchiectasis. I can't walk far, I cartainly cant run. I am on 3 different types of inhalers and pain killers 3 times a day. I have been like this since 2010. Having TB is as bad as having cancer. It literally eats you away. I can never tell of the hell I went through for that year. My life will never be the same again. Don't be fooled about it being hard to catch, IT ISNT. Don't leave anything to chance. If you have a cough for more than 3 weeks get to your doctor. I was on tablets and lots of them for 6 months. My sons TB was latent and he was on TB medication for 3 months. You CANNOT miss even one tablet or you risk the TB coming back. Sorry if this story is scary but let me tell you TB IS SCARY. Look after yourselves.

Essex Pikey im sooo sorry that you lost your son. I didnt realise tb is so serious. I had a lump on my neck... it grew so i got it checked. After many tests ...they told me its tb. Its been a couple of days since ive started on the treatment. Hopefully after 6 months ill be good again. How are you now? Hope you are well again x
It's true. My distant relative aged only 16 just died of TB. He coughed on and off and thought it was only a minor case so TB was left untreated. About 6 months later, he was getting a terrible headache. So painful that he just couldn't stop moaning. So we made an appointment with a paediatrician and he asked us to have him taken X-ray and blood test. And the test showed positive. And there were also signs of meningitis. So the doctor transferred him to a neurologist. He told me the hospitalisation was needed right away and chances of him survived this disease was very low because the virus got into his brain. Only 3 out of 100 patients whose brains were infected with TB virus survived, he told me. True enough! Eleven days after the patient was hospitalised, he passed away. He was getting weaker and weaker until the last time. We had him nasogastric-incubated and treated with TB drugs. Still we couldn't help him.
Please seek immediate help if you have been coughing for more than 1 week.
Correct me the other person and I also affected from this scary disease when my first baby was 10months old.. I have very poor immunity that time... I thought I will die off with this horrible one.. but am good now .I was affected this TB from 2013and had treatment.. now I have two kids.. but I gained weight now am 87kg. 30yrs old... Still I can't walk long.. wheezing problem is also there.. sometimes I can't able to swallow food freely, I feel some hard thing am eating and I feel it stuck inside my throat.. it makes me difficult.. weight is gaining.. I am not interested to do any work.I feel lazy quarter of the day full.. living.. I also remember those bad days dear friend.. first baby was also given the treatment that time I was feeding too once the treatment was done before.. is it come again or affect my kids or hubby or me... Scaring continues.. is it will come again or will affect any other diseases .. may God bless all of us... please somebody tell me how to improve good immunization for both elders and kids..
