Rocca Sforzesca di Soncino (CR) Italy - 4k Aerial view of this wonderful medieval castle

The Rocca Sforzesca of Soncino, located in the province of Cremona, Lombardy, is a Renaissance fortress built between 1473 and 1475 by the Sforza family. The structure has a quadrangular plan with four towers at the corners, connected by crenellated walls. The inner courtyard is surrounded by military and residential buildings.
The main entrance, protected by a drawbridge and moat, made the fortress particularly defensible. The interior includes reception rooms, bedrooms, kitchens and dungeons.
The fortress, built for defensive purposes, is today a tourist and cultural site that hosts events, exhibitions and historical re-enactments. Restored over the years, the Rocca Sforzesca is a well-preserved example of Italy's architectural and historical heritage.
