Omg stunning pages!,,love how ur peacock came out ! Gorgeous , love how the dream housed page came out, and the stationary shop is incredible, so detailed and you have done a great job on it wow! Yes we love scenes and landscapes! We have the same taste in books and pages! ❤❤❤❤ looking forward to some fall pages soon xoxoxxo
Love all the pictures especially the "bunny page". Would like to see a video of you using liquid satin glaze with a sponge versus a brush on the thiner-type paper, Thank you.
The thinner paper will create weird lines which gives rise to not very nice effects when using watercolour but I can demonstrate the use of the sponge brush. Thanks for watching 😊
In regard to the problem of raised lines in glazing liquid, try it diluted half and half with water, just a single coat. This makes the coating less thick and more self-leveling, minimizing the problem of raised ridges in the finished piece. I do this with gloss glazing liquid (it's what I have on hand from acrylic painting, it's the exact same thing as satin glazing liquid just not as matte) and I get a smoother, flatter, more even coat than with the full strength. I also only use one coat of the thinned glazing liquid, as more coats don't seem to give as even coverage and also tend to "raise the grain" of the paper a bit. Because there is more water, the page will curl more during application, but flattens just like the full strength coverage when dry. I've tried it every which way with various acrylic mediums on coloring pages, and glazing liquid thinned 50% with plain water is the one that works best for me. But try it for yourself. If you try it on a test page and don't like it, you can always add more coats. I really enjoy your channel and appreciate your color-alongs. Hope this helps.
@@ColouringwithK - No problem, hope it works for you. I forgot to mention that I apply with a regular brush in both directions, but because the liquid is already thinned and will shrink as the water evaporates, I don't worry about getting excess off the page. I go with just enough to coat the page, maybe a bit more if I misjudge, so it's not a super-thin coat by any means, just whatever's left on the page after I've gone across in both directions with the brush and any puddles are smoothed in. I also tape down my pages or at least clip them at the outer corners because of the excess curl. There's only one acrylic medium I haven't tried yet, and it's airbrush medium. I think it may work very well because it's so thin but still an acrylic coat, and it will definitely penetrate a paper adequately, but I have to test it. I have a couple bottles of it (Golden, Liquitex) but never remember to try them when I'm set up to do it, lol. If I ever remember and it works well, I'll let you know. I might also try spraying the thinned glazing liquid as well, using a regular spray bottle, which just occurred to me as I was typing this: if it works, it would minimize or eliminate the brush work involved. I just have to remember, which is getting harder to do for this old brain. Thank you again for everything you do: as someone into art for a long time but who hasn't touched a coloring book since kindergarten, your channel has been immensely helpful. I don't know why you're not higher in the algorithms because your content is really solid and informative, but that's RUclips for you I guess. Here's wishing you the increased visibility and success your work deserves.
The one with the Japanese version bright and yours with the black background and the blues and pinks ❤🎉😊are very nice 👍 in both versions. Personally, I like your version
Lovely colouring especially the peacock page and underwater double page spread. I also thought your Johanna Basford page was fabulous, the brown background shading made the desk look like it was receded into a nook, like the background was kind of 3D. Glad to here you’re over the colouring slump. Happy Colouring.
The watermelon bus stop 😂❤❤❤My favourite one ! Nagasaki Japan fruits bus stop boots are the cutest bus boots ever and makes you want to travel by bus . All pages are marvellously done , thank you for sharing .
Yay! Glad you got your mo-jo back, you got so much done! Beautiful pages as always, I think I love your polar bear page the very best. I prefer how you did the stationary page, still love your distressed looking background on it.👍Hope the term has started ok, it's a rude shock that alarm going off again!😁
Thanks Wendy, start of term has been mega busy but unfortunately I’ve been under the weather, with migraines and other health ailments. Hopefully, get back into the routine soon. Hope you’ve had a good start to term too! 😊❤️
