I started flying rc heli’s 25 years ago but stopped flying about 10 years ago and started to get back into it flying an old eflight 300x. Looking for a new heli and this is one that’s on the list of purchasing.
@@alishanmao Yes, I have had my eye on this unit for quite awhile. I currently have my first cp heli a XK K110s and have flipped it over a couple of times and kept a solid hover but it goes out of control when trying to flip it back.This latest Flywing software would seal the deal as without it I know I would try and crash and cost $$$$ This is so awesome to have basically a real life simulator in effect!!!!! Thank you for all your video's Alishanmao as they are so very informative and helpful to the community!!!!
Wow, ive been researching and researching helicopters and was almost set on the Blade 230 or 330s for a real helicopter. I think this maybe my option now rtf

I did what how did you recommend me about Calibrations, t recalibrated the Sticks and Switches on the Radio and on the H1 proram, I recalibrated the COMPASS, I carefully and attentively checked the "COLECTIVE" settings and verified that EVERYTHING was within the required parameters (mainly the "PITCH"), I rechecked the Values indicated for Home (2000), GPS (1500) and for ATT ( 1400) and this past Saturday I went to test the Heli and the PROBLEM persists, that is, WHEN I GO FROM "GPS" TO "ATT" THE HELI DROPS DOWN NOT KEEPING THE ALTITUDE AS SEEN IN YOUR VIDEO, BEING NECESSARY TO COMPENSATE THE THROTTLE TO THEN I REALLY COULD FLY IN "ATT" MODE. Note;- On the ground, after the GPS had positioned the Heli correctly, when I changed the Switch from GPS to ATT Mode the respective light remained in "RED BLINKING", it didn't change to GPS Light. Please. HELP ME.... 😭
It is very strange. these are the only settings. it seems like yours is switching to 6G mode rather than ATT mode. because only then it jumps down like you switch to 3d mode and it jumps down. its not switching to ATT. because in ATT mode it won't give you collective control on throttle so agile like in 3d but will keep the barometer engaged to hold the altitude. try 1200 and 1300 settings.
@alishanmao Can you turn on this 3d alt safe on the FW200?.... I cant decide if I should start with the fw200 or fw450 v3-4 ... the 450 seems to be more future proof for a progressing pilot.. Thanks for your in-depth content

I recently lost my Blade 230s RTF in a tree line. A friend gave me a 230 but not rtf or "s". I still have the transmitter from the RTF. Is it possible to bind the 230 to that radio?

it should because its the software based, using V2.0 you can turn this feature on. give it a try. you do not have to actually fly 3d to find out if it works or not. once you turn on this feature, power on the helicopter, wait for initialization to finish, now on the ground switch to 3D. if light turns blue, that means it did not work, if switching to 3D switches to or keeps in GPS on the ground. well it works :)
My fly sky transmitter for my flywing 450 2.5 quit working on the touch screen if I order a new one will it work with all the switches once i bind it? thank you for your reply Henry
i had an issue with mine i think it got too hot did not do a return to home feature. so it cracked the paint on hardish landing. when i checked the battery voltage it was lower than 3 volts each cell. so could it be that reason it was hot? plus i was under the arizona sun in spring. so you also have to reset the gps calibration each time you fly at a new location?
a far away new location, if needed calibration you will not be able to take off. so if it flies at different location means you do not need calibration dance

welcome buddy. For beginners as i mentioned, set higher safe altitude and take it slow, step by step. fly with lighter battery, keep helicopter light weight.

Yesterday my fw450 v3 crashed because the tail blade dissintigrated in the air. Its only the 5th flight. I never hit the tail blade to anything. I learned that a lot of owners experienced this too. Please tell flywing to improve their plastics.

I would really appreciate it), your TUTORIALS, in addition to being VERY ENJOYABLE, are undoubtedly VALUABLELY USEFUL, so it would be excellent to "sit dat a table" together to exchange and share information, experiences and much more about this WONDERFUL "HOBBY", but - and unfortunately not only "geographical constraints" (I live on MADEIRA Island - PORTUGAL...) but others also, don't allow it. So we only have THIS "WAY" to do it. Having said that, I just hope that my "interventions" do not upset you, which I sincerely ask because my intentions are mainly TO LEARN AND IMPROVE WITH YOU. i do not think yuxiang or mr. long is going to send me any helis now, after i pointed out the bad in EC135 helicopter. they do not like people to say or point issues in their helicopters, they just like people saying wow, good, nice, best. anyone who give positive criticism, feedback to develop better, automatically gets out of their favorite list 🤣 after the F06 operation, pointing out and asking to develop a better radio than that el cheapo radio, and wait a new video showing how much this helicopter heats up, and its batteries too. i am sure, i am already in their not favorite, make sure he doesn't get next helicopter youtubers list 🤣 lets see if miracle happens and Mr. Long contacts me for YXF280 and says they will develop better helis based on customers feedback. but wow man, won't that be sun rising from west?
Will it stop at the safe height setting if you keep it horizontal and just go down, as if you're going to land? Can I still land in 3D mode if I go down slowly? So glad you made this video! I bought an FW450L V3.1 because of it. Not sure what the 3.0 to 3.1 updates were. UPDATE: Somehow I crashed it in 3D mode while diving head first. It doesn't seem to be working very well for me. Had safe height set same as you, at 6m.
Hi, trying to set this up on my 500DFC, so far so good, but with the heli on the bench this feature set to on i have lost the blue 3d light and its now green instead is this correct?? I'm guessing that its locked into gps mode below 6m and would only switch to blue if enabled above 6m. Thanks just checking i havn't screwed up prior to flying.
Yes exactly. Because once you turn this feature on, it will always stay in gps under that set altitude and you won't be able to switch to any other modes on the bench
Great video. I'm interested to know if you have used Rotorflight with a quad flight controller on any of your helis? I've completed my first setup and it's amazing helis finally have a solution similar to Betaflight.
@@jerryzito6840 it is strange. If you have a V2.0 software it must have 3D safe feature unless if you are trying it on scale H1 lite. For FW450 V3, V2.5L it all works
Ok my friend. Disregard my last comment. I did find the security 3D parameter. It appeared when I attached the download cable. How can I tell if upload was completed since there is no progress bar.
It's really cool but v2.0 seems to have many errors. Is it because it's Windows 11? Didn't you find the error? Vibration of aircraft Only v2.0 has vibration.
This is very cool features!! And I love that it operates on EdgeTX too! This feature is EXACTLY the sort of thing I had in mind when commenting on your videos of certain other Scale Helis that are currently HOT: Let the pilot try some wild maneuvers, but give them an option to prevent bone-headed, heart-breaking crashes. Maybe using barometric pressure would be enough, without requiring GPS? I don't know, but it seems FlyWing has some great thinkers over there!
Hey Ali for this to work, do you have to start in GPS mode and then flip to 3D mode? I am trying to figure out how it would connect to a satellite in an emergency if you start flying session in 3D mode...
you have to switch to GPS before taking off, let it lock all sats. when solid green light, now you can take off in any mode and it should work. but if this feature is on, you can't switch to 3d when on ground, you can only do above the set safe altitude. so take off in ATT, GPS, or 6G mode is possible only

sorry for confusion, i mean, i had one FW450 V3 that was the worlds first sample released from flywing and sent for my testing. after that I got another new FW450 V3, when the new GPS (that does not require calibration) was released for further testing. so they are still the FW450 V3, just GPS units are different.
I have flishrc bo105 scale with flywing GPS . I like the idea I switch to 3D but if I get into trouble auto switches to GPS .I saw so video were GPS lock is lossed on uh-1 and crashed . now I dont trust GPS any more I need to know I can stop the crash by down loading the soltware to stop it. thanks for that. I was thinking about saleing it before I crash it.If I can stop it from crashing I will keep it.
@@alishanmao I have GPS rescue switch in the software . I going switch that on when I fly in 3D has a back up save my helicopter from crashing if I make a mistake . I can set it for 7meters. what do you think about that.??

so far it did. as per my testing. set higher safe altitude like 8 or 10 meters for beginners. keep helicopter lighter. use smaller battery, do not use heavier batteries. works better if you use standard rotor head. quick release rotor head works too (as you watch this video was done with quick release rotor system) but its more safe with standard head.
Need you too try something for me. I run at 90 percent head speed, your recommendation for the settings doesn’t work well. I would like you to come up with a 90 Percent head speed setup. Please Try 16 percent gain Gps at 21 Tail Gain at 54 percent
when you switch to 3D, your helicopter will run 100% head speed. maybe you did not know that buddy :) 75% or 65% that you are able to set is only for GPS, ATT modes. 3D mode is pre written 100% head speed in flight controller. Hope it helps
I wanted to try your setup, at 90 percent head speed when the helicopters on the ground the tail seems like the gain is too high I went down to 35 and still had the problem

Wouldn't that be wonderful? Or bring out a sub-250gram heli with similar features. Maybe a FlyWing FW180? The 450 is really nice, but I don't see myself owning such a big helicopter.

I did tested or 3d function was switching on within 10 metres. It did not. Above 10 metres I could turn on 3d function. So the safety mode did work I thought. I was flying 3d and when the heli comes down it did not anti crash correction on time. I don’t know what is happen. But its a strong heli. I ordered new blades and tail. When it arrived I go test again. Maybe the safety hight to 25 metres for testing. I hope the safety procedure works fine then. In gpsmode a very fine and stabil heli. Im happy with that.

Finally a copter I can not destroy first flight? Perhaps I can own a serious copter again. For years I limited myself to indoor toy copters because in the past Ive crashed and repaired large copters only to find Im no good at setting them up to fly correctly again.

when it goes into gps mode, do you have to toggle the switch to get back to 3d mode? or does it return to 3d mode as soon as you go upwards?

Any radio that is set with your heli is ok. you just need to turn this feature on in V2.0 Assist.

sorry to hear that, yes flywing has been told about this a number of times. i hope they will release better quality blades.

If you are inverted in 3d mode, and then gps takes over and leaves it inverted, how do you get it back upright?
if you are doing manual inverted, then switch to GPS while its inverted. it will flip back to normal automatically as a rescue

i do not think yuxiang or mr. long is going to send me any helis now, after i pointed out the bad in EC135 helicopter. they do not like people to say or point issues in their helicopters, they just like people saying wow, good, nice, best. anyone who give positive criticism, feedback to develop better, automatically gets out of their favorite list 🤣 after the F06 operation, pointing out and asking to develop a better radio than that el cheapo radio, and wait a new video showing how much this helicopter heats up, and its batteries too. i am sure, i am already in their not favorite, make sure he doesn't get next helicopter youtubers list 🤣 lets see if miracle happens and Mr. Long contacts me for YXF280 and says they will develop better helis based on customers feedback. but wow man, won't that be sun rising from west?

Will it stop at the safe height setting if you keep it horizontal and just go down, as if you're going to land? Can I still land in 3D mode if I go down slowly? So glad you made this video! I bought an FW450L V3.1 because of it. Not sure what the 3.0 to 3.1 updates were. UPDATE: Somehow I crashed it in 3D mode while diving head first. It doesn't seem to be working very well for me. Had safe height set same as you, at 6m.
Yes it will. set the height to 10 meters, nose down or tail down takes lot of stopping distance. so 6m is not enough LOL

Hi, trying to set this up on my 500DFC, so far so good, but with the heli on the bench this feature set to on i have lost the blue 3d light and its now green instead is this correct?? I'm guessing that its locked into gps mode below 6m and would only switch to blue if enabled above 6m. Thanks just checking i havn't screwed up prior to flying.
Yes exactly. Because once you turn this feature on, it will always stay in gps under that set altitude and you won't be able to switch to any other modes on the bench

When you are inverted is throttle stick down for negative pitch and throttle stick up is it positive pitch
if you have set the auto invert to simple, it will be same as normal, if you set it to professional it will reverse.

@@jerryzito6840 it is strange. If you have a V2.0 software it must have 3D safe feature unless if you are trying it on scale H1 lite. For FW450 V3, V2.5L it all works

Didn't you find the error? Vibration of aircraft Only v2.0 has vibration.

This feature is EXACTLY the sort of thing I had in mind when commenting on your videos of certain other Scale Helis that are currently HOT: Let the pilot try some wild maneuvers, but give them an option to prevent bone-headed, heart-breaking crashes. Maybe using barometric pressure would be enough, without requiring GPS? I don't know, but it seems FlyWing has some great thinkers over there!

Hey Ali for this to work, do you have to start in GPS mode and then flip to 3D mode? I am trying to figure out how it would connect to a satellite in an emergency if you start flying session in 3D mode...
you have to switch to GPS before taking off, let it lock all sats. when solid green light, now you can take off in any mode and it should work. but if this feature is on, you can't switch to 3d when on ground, you can only do above the set safe altitude. so take off in ATT, GPS, or 6G mode is possible only

Also you stated this is your second FW450 V3. I do not know what you mean newer and older version FW450 V3. I thought there was only one V3 version.
sorry for confusion, i mean, i had one FW450 V3 that was the worlds first sample released from flywing and sent for my testing. after that I got another new FW450 V3, when the new GPS (that does not require calibration) was released for further testing. so they are still the FW450 V3, just GPS units are different.

I have flishrc bo105 scale with flywing GPS . I like the idea I switch to 3D but if I get into trouble auto switches to GPS .I saw so video were GPS lock is lossed on uh-1 and crashed . now I dont trust GPS any more I need to know I can stop the crash by down loading the soltware to stop it. thanks for that. I was thinking about saleing it before I crash it.If I can stop it from crashing I will keep it.
Get trained to fly RC Helicopters and you won't need to trust GPS again

so far it did. as per my testing. set higher safe altitude like 8 or 10 meters for beginners. keep helicopter lighter. use smaller battery, do not use heavier batteries. works better if you use standard rotor head. quick release rotor head works too (as you watch this video was done with quick release rotor system) but its more safe with standard head.

when you switch to 3D, your helicopter will run 100% head speed. maybe you did not know that buddy :) 75% or 65% that you are able to set is only for GPS, ATT modes. 3D mode is pre written 100% head speed in flight controller. Hope it helps
I wanted to try your setup, at 90 percent head speed when the helicopters on the ground the tail seems like the gain is too high I went down to 35 and still had the problem

its on flywing website buddy. unread h1 i have addressed this issue in my upcoming detailed video tutorial for channel members. normally its usb plugging issue.

its because below that set alt it will never switch to 3D. you need to switch to 6G mode to be able to move swash plate

I did set security on 10 metres. But mine did not react. The heli is crashed.
could be some setup issue. did you turn on the 3d safe feature and tested before trying it?
I did tested or 3d function was switching on within 10 metres. It did not. Above 10 metres I could turn on 3d function. So the safety mode did work I thought. I was flying 3d and when the heli comes down it did not anti crash correction on time. I don’t know what is happen. But its a strong heli. I ordered new blades and tail. When it arrived I go test again. Maybe the safety hight to 25 metres for testing. I hope the safety procedure works fine then. In gpsmode a very fine and stabil heli. Im happy with that.

Finally a copter I can not destroy first flight? Perhaps I can own a serious copter again. For years I limited myself to indoor toy copters because in the past Ive crashed and repaired large copters only to find Im no good at setting them up to fly correctly again.

As I said, disable antivirus and make an exception for the V2 executable then you can use it
You get big virus on your computer.. Trojan virus.. why the company do this?
its not virus. its just some programming they used that causes antiviruses to detect it as trojan. i am using it on my computers. no issues.
