@@randomguyontheinternet9107 I think the original two playing in the background has kinda made things a lot more muddy than normal in this variant. The bass hurts my head and the off-pitch singing in the background is distracting.
hee hoo im avoiding my biology homework here’s a short story (tw blood) You’re on the dance floor. Tripping a little in your new shoes. Your friend has disappeared into the crowd again, but you know they’re just going to get some more cider. You bump shoulders with a couple dancing near you and apologise to them, though your voice is drowned out by the bass. You sip the cider. Is that your friend standing, alone, in the corner? You’re on the dance floor. Stumbling, clutching one of those red plastic cups. Your head feels fuzzy. You can’t remember how you got here, or what’s in the cup. Looking around, you see that the people dancing around you are moving strangely, limbs twisting fluidly at angles that can’t be possible. Their faces are blurred and dark. There’s a strange taste in your mouth, metallic and acrid. You’re on the dance floor. Lying in a pool of something dark. Blood? The lights strobe sickeningly, music pounding through your aching skull. It’s… distorted. You hadn’t noticed before. You try to hold your hand to your face, see if it’s shaking, but your fingers are numb. It feels like your body is levitating a few inches off the sticky ground. The lights are dimming. It’s a relief. The party must be over.
This sounds like we're in a different timeline where 2020 not only never ended, but also Hell fused with the Earth creating a global chaos where every life form was completely slaughtered, resulting in a world full of blood rivers, mountains of rotten flesh and neverending agony for those who were unlucky enough to remain alive. I need help.
Why is this oddly less painful than 0.5 speed in major key? It’s like the one without minor key was accepting the inevitable (death, apocalypse, loneliness) but this one is rather a retaliation by the heroes of humanity against those things, and that’s why it sounds like a boss fight in a video game? It’s a tough fight and the protagonists all doubt their chances of victory, represented by how the music sounds dark and intense, but they need to win because they’ve come so far and have so much to fight for. Although if you really wanted to portray the fight I’m describing it would be best if at the beginning it was in a minor key but normal speed and not from another room, then when the heroes seem to be losing it starts to sound quieter, further away and slower, and then when they all combine their power for a final attack to defeat the enemy it goes to a major key on normal speed without the distortion. Thank you for listening to my TED talk and can someone please make this like I just said please

It feels like to be at a party but something is wrong but you can't really tell what

its.... its like a car crash.. its too horrible to look at, but too horrible to look away from
Or in this case, too horrible to listen, but somewhat melodious to not listen to.

And I use it on speakers for enjoyment
While 0.5 version is just depressing, this is straight up mental breakdown
I think the minor key really hit it. It sounds like its the end of the world. And I love it, as much as how cursed it sounds.
