This borgeet was composed by Madhavdev as he discerned from a distance the mourning attires of those on a boat coming back from Koch Bihar with Sankardev's effects after his death. Madhavdev, waiting on the banks of the Brahmaputra, felt for the first time the absence of his guru. He composed this and one other borgeet on this occasion.
