Watch in HD!!! This is a drum play-through for the song titled 'Stygian Blue' by the band Monuments. Its off of their recent release titled 'Phronesis'.
Although I'm no longer a part of the band, I was very excited when they approached me about doing the drums for the album. I had a lot of fun working with the group. A lot of the parts were already written prior to me hearing any of the demos. I had some creative input here and there, but majority of the drum parts were already written by the band. I was a session guy more or less in this situation, and I'm really happy with how everything turned out. I'll be uploading a few more play-through videos from this album over the next couple of months.
I recently joined the Evans Drumheads artist roster, and I couldn't be more excited. This is the first video I'm putting up with all new drumheads. I can't express the amount of gratitude I have towards Evans for making feel right at home so early in my relationship with them. It really does mean a lot to work with amazing companies, and I really do value my relationships with all of them. Thanks Evans!
I've been very busy lately with a lot of session work, and its put a bit of a damper on my ability to shoot video content for RUclips. I can't complain much because I've been fortunate enough to get a lot of work on the drums, but I do plan on trying to be more consistent with video uploads from here on out. I wouldn't necessarily say so, even both are great drummers, AS has more groove while LH is more about speed.....of course, both are amazing drummers and have their own projects/bands so comparing them is basically comparing apples w/ oranges

Thank you! I have, but I stopped because its hard getting the lighting consistent between all of the angles. So I just plan on keeping things simple with the two cameras for the foreseeable future. \m/
