      some of these comments are pissing me of. i can tell a lot of u just started watching basketball 3-4 years ago cuz no one that has seen dwade in his prime would ever say such stupid things by putting harden over him. I would take Dwade in his prime anyday over James harden. if u see how wade dominated in the playoffs when it really counted before his knee started giving up on him u would understand why he is top 3 after Jordan and kobe. He was literally a guard that was so effective in the paint without even a proper 3 point shot but still won the scoring title in 08 at 6'4! do u realize he would have won mvp that season if the heat roster wasnt so trash they just decided to give it to lebroin that season. And dont get me started on the playoffs, for all of u that dont understand what it means to be a winner go check his stat line in the playoffs especially the year lebron chocked in his first season in Miami. Wade literally was dropping stupid numbers in the finals again just like in 06 when he showcased THE GREATEST FINALS PERFORMANCE SINCE MJ, yes that is a fact.

    • @batmann2370
      @batmann2370 6 лет назад +4

      Malik Geresu agreed but saying he deserved there mvp over lebron is pretty silly, Miami wasn’t near as bad as Cleveland... but back to the real topic here d wade was absolutely incredible before the knee issues, his performance in 06 wasn’t the best since mj it rivals mj at any time during his finals dominance

    What I like about Harden is that he makes it look so easy on the court. It’s almost like he has a lackadaisical element to his game. Hard to explain, it’s like he’s in a pickup game or something.

    • @kelvot2192
      @kelvot2192 6 лет назад +3

      It is because of his body language when he is playing. He catches the person off guard because initially he is quiet and then BOOM he explodes with speed and plus he is a lefty so it is hard to guard. How he switches from slow then becomes so explosive is what catches so many people off guard

  • @MysticMech

    James Harden is a great offensive player, but if he's off, as he's been in the playoffs, he has a really hard time finding other ways to impact the game. Kevin Durant is much deadlier because he can beat you so many ways offensively, as well as defensively.

    Wade, Kobe, Jordan, Lebron etc. all made their names in the playoffs, and by playing both ends of the court. Harden is very good, but if he ever wants to be in that conversation, he needs to play better defense and actually show up when your team needs you, not in some meaningless regular season game.

    James Harden against playoff teams (if the playoffs started right now) shoots a lowly 42% from the field. But to Harden's credit I disagree with what Broussard said about Dantoni being the coach. Harden was an MVP candidate in 2015 before Dantoni arrived.

    • @mr.clutch_6878
      @mr.clutch_6878 6 лет назад +15

      We're in a league where teams need at least 2 or more all-stars to compete for a championship. Last year Houston was projected as an 8th seed in the West, and they ended up with the 3rd best record in the NBA. They lost to a Spurs team that was in a higher seed, had 2 all-stars, and the best coach of all time. Look what at Harden's rockets are doing right now with CP3's help.

    • @coryfessenden1102
      @coryfessenden1102 6 лет назад +15

      Mr. Clutch_6 LaMarcus wasnt an all-star last year, he was a shadow of what he is this year. Second, Kawhi didnt play in game 6 last year cause of injury, same with Tony Parker their starting PG at the time. You point isnt valid, everything was set up for the Rockets to win gane 6 at home, but the epic 2-10 for 10 pts 6 TO and 6 fouls meltdown of their superstar... Again, made me rofl.

The only weak part of Harden game is he doesnt play any defense. But offensively he will shock those 90s boys just like how MJ shock them with his athleticism.

    4:50 such an important discussion. Always gets neglected when ppl compare stats between players nowadays and those in past eras.
    20 ppg is easier to maintain now than it was 30 years ago. Most your points were from 2, and you had a harder time making those due to the physicality and bigger players clogging the lane.
    This also branches off into rebounds and assists. When your teammates can score easier, that makes for more assists. And teams are stacking spot up shooters which crank out the assists. When less ppl are clogging the lane, less rebound specialists, that’s when these PGs get these high rebounds.

    What makes Harden hard to guard is his flopping. Dude throws his head back and flails his arms when a defender gets near him. Half of Harden's points basically come from the free throw line, and many others because defenders have to stay 10 feet away from him so Harden doesn't reach out and touch their arm while shooting. Pathetic. Hopefully the NBA will create a rule penalizing him for faking fouls every game.

    • @leftbenchplayaa
      @leftbenchplayaa 6 лет назад +4

      JHatch65 I think you just fouled harden by just saying this.

    • @lukepelton2180
      @lukepelton2180 6 лет назад

      Jhatch65 harden scores 8 of his 32 points a night at the line on average thats not half. Also MJ scored 7 points a game from the line oh wow MJ is pathetic good logic dude do your homeowork

    • @JHatch65
      @JHatch65 6 лет назад +2

      Last night Harden shot 4 - 20 from the field, and 0-8 from three. He scored 21 points total (8 points from the field), but shot 18 free throws - ONLY 1 LESS THAN THE ENTIRE Detroit Pistons team. 13 of his points came from the charity stripe, WHICH IS MORE THAN HALF. Jordan never sought to get fouled like Harden clearly does. Seems like my homework is more accurate than you're willing to give credit to.

    • @lukepelton2180
      @lukepelton2180 6 лет назад

      thats one game im talking season averages which makes way more sense. Thats like me saying one game MJ shot 1-15 from the field therefore he is inefficient. You have to look at per game averages lol

    • @JHatch65
      @JHatch65 6 лет назад +2

      First of all, Harden shoots over 10 free throws a game, which is ridiculous. And when I said half of his points basically come from the free throw line, you do realize that I was not being literal, correct? My point was that he is hard to guard because the dude tries to get fouled almost every time he has the ball.

      The player who is the most physically dominating player in the league would struggle in a more physical league? You must be high, Curry, Kyrie, Kemba, Westbrook and even Durant would have problems in the 90's, not a 6'8 250 pound freight train

    • @ronnyjoe230
      @ronnyjoe230 6 лет назад

      The3pleThreat Westbrook would probably destroy that league. His mental game is on another level. LeBron is mentally weak, he'd crumble after he gets knocked down and begs for a call when there isn't one. Once he figures he wouldn't get the calls he gets now, he becomes a jump shooter, and a poor one at that.

      maurice horton - it's ridiculous. It's not just Harden. All perimeter players today get ridiculous calls because of today's rules and foul interpretations. Guys like Harden and Lebron however get much more with their superstar status. It would be nice to see thee guys have to play through contact - so many plays at the basket today aren't legit plays and they just throw the ball up with no chance of converting because they know a foul call is coming. If MJ or any player from the past had this type of leeway, their numbers would be even more outrageous than they were.
      What's even more ridiculous is how we live in a world where people, including NBA coaches feel justified in making bombastic statements and gross generalizations without evidence as nobody is ever held accountable - people need to call them out occasionally.

      Boogie Loo LeBron should get more calls than he does. Driving to the hole the most in his career & averaging the least amount of attempts in his career. I think Durant gets more calls than LBJ.

    I agree that Mike D'Antoni is a great offensive coach. When he coached the Lakers the first time, Kobe at 35 years old was averaging 27, 5, and 6. Imagine if he coached Kobe when he was like 26-29. Dude would average 40. Kobe at 35 was special, it just sucks he was kept in the Warriors game for too long when he effed up his knee twice. Mamba mentality lead to his downfall but the heart he showed that game was nothing seen before.

  • @theflashrises2110

    I personally think Harden is so hard to guard because of his complete offensive skillset AND the constant fear of fouling him. I don’t know about others but I think that’s pretty sad for one of an elite player’s most vital traits to getting past you is the fact that he is always looking for a way to fake contact and bump INTO YOU so he can go to get some nice free points. Many players pump fake and try to juke opponents into a foul but Harden’s style is so much less outplay and much more scummy and excessive.

    Skip tries to act as if Kobe didn’t have his fair share of meltdowns throughout his career. he actually quit on his team in game 7 vs Phoenix en route to blowing a 3-1 lead.
    Kobe is a great player, top 10 all time, but Skip trying to say that Kobe would devour any player besides Jordan due to his mental fortitude is simply incorrect.
