With the whole confusion on miley not having any money, yet somehow being rich. I rationalize this all to being robby ray taking care of all her finances and deciding what/when she can spend. If shes hannah montana, theres more leeway to keep up with appearances. On the credit card episode, robby ray before probably thought she wasnt responsible enough to spend her own money, and then she wasnt.
There is a whole real life ethical issue with child stars being taken advantage of their parents to take care of all the finances, but in this show I don't think it's the case because she does get some allowance for things she wants like clothes, she was the one who wanted the double life and being normal half the time, and she's very young and not old enough to manage all the money she gets from being Hannah Montana.
There’s literally an episode where he finally gives her a little bit of the Hannah money and she goes nuts with it in a makeup store lol it explains that common “plot hole”

Something that was so crazy about Hannah Montana was the way how it became so big that Miley actually performed as Hannah in real life. The fast that Miley worked from 12-17 as Hannah is insane too, she was so young not touring as just herself but as Hannah as well.
I think Robbie is probably the best representation of parenting in any disney show. He was a great dad, smart, caring, and cool too. Wish they wrote more characters like him... well I guess there was Carey from Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
The shows that had the main character having “a secret”, always bothered me how they were so worried about people telling their secret when in reality nobody would believe them at face value. Like would Amber & Ashley really believe Lily that Miley is Hannah Montana? They would clown her lol
the bully in this show is the Cracker, who is known for being able to crack anything, and one of the bullies in Thats so Raven is the Juicer, who is known for being able to squeeze anything into juice and threatens to squeeze Cory's head into juice. I guess there was a theme in disney channel sitfoms about naming bullies after what they are known for doing instead of having an actual name
Maybe it’s facial blindness, but I feel like the lily/Lola thing makes sense because as Lola all her wigs are never past her shoulders or a natural color. Lily has long natural hair. That combined with the drastic change in wardrobe I’d give it the benefit of the doubt.
I wish they would've brought back Traci, Mikayla and Roxy to see their reaction to the secret coming out. Especially Mikayla, since she wanted to be friends with Miley while hating Hannah! And Sarah and Joanie showed up at the beginning of this season but only Joanie showed up on the second to last episode!?!?! And she was still friends with her! But what was Sarah's reaction?
I'm convinced that the reason why they switched to a different house for the final season was the OG set would look super fake in HD. But instead of reamking it they just decided to do something entirely different.
They also needed an excuse to change things up so they could change the title of the show, and won’t have to pay the cast more (since in Disney’s contract, after 3 seasons, there’s a salary increase)
Wait is that still in place? Cause if so that explains SO MUCH about what's going on with Bunk'd, which I've been trying to understand since the show was the first to get a Season 5
I highly doubt it because HD only increases the pixel count, it has nothing to do with how the set looks. Every set looks fake, even in high budget sitcoms like Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory. They changed it because they had to change things up for „Hannah Montana forever“, even though it‘s the same show.
I'm just glad that Miley in real life finally got released from this series contract & did her own thing after this. She really worked hard to distance herself from the image of Hannah Montana, which is so ironic at many levels.
"John Cena beats up Jackson because he doesn't want to read." is one of the funniest sentences I've ever heard and I have never watched this show before
Even though Jason Earl had a bit of an age gap from Jackson, he played such a hilarious teenaged older-brother and has some of my favorite moments from the show.

Everybody in my school had a crush on Miley, but I always prefered Emily Osment because her character was way nicer and way more funny. Ah good times! I honestly still like her though, she was great in Young and Hungry and Young Sheldon. Now that I‘m rewatching this as an adult it‘s actually amazing how many times Miley lies to Lillly and Oliver. It‘s even worse than I remember.

Oliver suddenly getting better at singing can happen- my sister genuinely thought I was tone deaf before I went to college and through the school’s choir I was actually able to sing well enough by winter break that my sister (who has near perfect pitch) could stand to be in the room while I’m singing.
I always found funny that the bonus track plot was basically started because of Taylor and her deluxe tracks, I mean for the girl that has 30 songs on Red TV it makes sense. And also the same girl who has found out a way to make Midnights longer and longer, adding more tracks even if mostly remixes.
You are correct about the original diabetes episode. It was shot as part of season 2 but certain scenes were reshot during season 3 and was slated back into the second season's library I guess? I've seen the original (which again, has some of the same scenes) and it's probably still floating around the internet somewhere. I believe the title was "No Sugar Sugar".
I hate that in the episode after she reveals herself to the world, people get mad at her for "lying" about her identity...as if the public is entitled to knowing everything about a celebrity? Everyone should have a right to privacy! Like...some lady literally accuses her of being a bad influence on her kid bc she didn't tell them her real name. It just kills me bc that mom could've just as easily spun it to be a message of "nobody is entitled to your personal information" (which was--and still is--a very important thing kids need to be taught btw) but nah sure yeah let's teach them to be mad when a celebrity wants to be treated like a normal person
I think it is a sweet episode of showing a fan keeping her promise to keep something private for her favorite celebrity. Like that is showing respect and boundaries. More people should be like that in terms of how they treat celebrities.
Alex in wizards is a flawed main character as well but she is likeable. I wasn't able to rewatch the first season because Miley is such a toxic and unlikeable character... It's a big difference between being flawed and being literally the pro- and antagonist in your own show.
One thing that always bugged me about the Robbie being her dad and manager was Robbie Ray (the singer) was her manager. Everyone that knew Miley knew Robbie was a famous singer. There's a whole episode around that. None of them were ever like "I heard Robbie Ray is Hannah Montana's manager now so that's you?"
i'm not even ashamed to admit i still rock out to best of both worlds, the hoedown throwdown and always find your way back home in my car because i'm just that cool
I just can’t believe I watched all of this lmaooo it was a pretty solid review though and I appreciated the single episode reviews instead of season reviews. True dedication shown with that and each episode title sung lol 10/10
I feel the reveal story from telling Jesse to reveal and after repercussions was done quite well and maturely in a way. I like how it touches on how celebs deal with hate from fans cause of things from private lives.
1:37:05 “I don’t know if this matters” “It matters TO ME.” I think you just perfectly summed up how I feel about Hannah Montana’s details and plot holes
i love you picking the lore apart in shows from cable tv 😂 all of it is stuff nobody originally watching it would notice because it came out one episode per week and the main audience was children. i watched hannah montana constantly as a kid, from the age of like 4 lmao (i was born in 2003 btw)
He came back and with a 2+hour video on a classic, as someone who doesn't normally buy merch for like anything, I have a Hannah Montana wig and silver Hannah Montana trousers, I also have 2 Wii games, yeah to say I was one of the fangirls would be quite accurate, I recently rewatch Ed the show and definitely see its flaws and a lot of storylines that went nowhere, but it was a fun part of my childhood
oh my god I watched every single episode of this show last year I never thought anyone else would catalogue all the weird shit that happens thank you so much seamus
Lemme tell ya in latinoamérica Hannah Montana was huge back then, but after that, arrived the 2013 disney channel musical telenovela “Violetta” and that was a revolution, I remember saying “is like the second coming of Hannah Montana and high school musical mixed but EN ESPAÑOL!!!” 😂 but it wasn’t even a sitcom, it was a telenovela (linear story, drama, and fun but a lot of drama and love triangles) but with a great musical production and talented cast since the main character goes to a music school so everyone sings and dances, and the actors were from different countries, it was set in Argentina 🇦🇷 but we had 1 Spanish 🇪🇸 love interest, 1 Mexican 🇲🇽 love interest, and Italian best friend, a Brazilian dude🇧🇷 and of you check it out please see it on the original language because the accents of the different nationalities of the cast adds some extra flavor in my opinion. (The downside was that as a telenovela is loooooong and plot progression and misunderstandings and such overstay their welcome, season 1 is like 80 episodes alone, but you could check the best moments ore episodes cuz at least the music still holds up, although the Voy por ti music video is cringe in a 2012 way and I love it, it’s so funny
No I agree with you. I grew up watching this show, so I do have some nostalgia for it. But yah Miley is an awful character, yet the show really wants us to believe she is a good person. I recently rewatched wizard of waverly place, and Alex can be a lot like Miley; selfish, rude, ect. But the show actively tells you Alex is not a good person. It’s a key part of the show. We are supposed to believe Miley is a good person at heart who makes a few wrong decisions, but in reality she’s selfish at heart and forced to learn life lessons.
I always appreciated that part of Wizards is that Alex was very selfish sometimes but she could also be kind. It was nice to see some diversity in a main character. So many early 2000s kids sitcoms either had boring characters or just terrible characters that we’re supposed to root for. If you make characters you have to understand how their actions effect other characters. Alex was a flawed person but that’s why I kind of liked her. Also the fact her parents weren’t bumbling idiots really helped.
I think the whole thing with Robbie being Miley's dad and manager getting confused was likely because Billy Rae Cyrus is Miley Cyrus' IRL father, so that might have played a role in it. Maybe they wanted to give a nod to the idea of her following in her father's footsteps IRL. Still inconsistent writing, but it might have played a part.
If this show wasn't so popular at the time I guess it would probably be one of those weird kids movies that is just so weird but nostalgic that as a grown up you think it's like a weird dream you had once.
The diabetes storyline most likely comes from Miley dating Nick Jonas, who has diabetes, they wanted to address that someone with Diabetes is still a person and he or she doesn’t change because of an illness like this. Alsoo; Miley herself has ‘Hypoglycaemia’ which is a Blood Sugar illnes. (Lesser known, you can find info online)

The singing of every episode title is truly Grammy nomination worthy
Alex in wizards is a flawed main character as well but she is likeable. I wasn't able to rewatch the first season because Miley is such a toxic and unlikeable character... It's a big difference between being flawed and being literally the pro- and antagonist in your own show.
One thing that always bugged me about the Robbie being her dad and manager was Robbie Ray (the singer) was her manager. Everyone that knew Miley knew Robbie was a famous singer. There's a whole episode around that. None of them were ever like "I heard Robbie Ray is Hannah Montana's manager now so that's you?"
How did I never realise the episodes were named after song titles
Petition to have him do the same thing he did in this video but with the Jessie show and it’s spin off bunk’ed

youre right, i didnt ask for this, but now I feel like I needed it
i hope you enjoy!!
i'm not even ashamed to admit i still rock out to best of both worlds, the hoedown throwdown and always find your way back home in my car because i'm just that cool
"The guy from Starstruck" EXCUSE ME, THAT IS CHAD DYLAN COOPER, SIR.
The greatest actor of our generation
Miley was 14 in season 1, but Jason earles was 29, and only 16 years younger than Billy Ray Cyrus
They say he’s 20 in season 4, but he’s actually 33
Miley was actually 12-13 in season 1, 13-14 in season 2, 15 in the movie, 15-16 in season 3, and 17 in season 4
@@growingupwithdisney yeah Miley (the character) is just born in later months
@@UriosEditz I didn’t realize he was talking about the character, I remember watching the pilot and being surprised Hannah was 14
Anyone else catch David Archuleta being referred to as “some artist” 😭
You singing the episode titles makes my day
i respect you committing to covering every song referenced in the titles
I literally looked you up a few days ago cause i was curious where you went. I got my answer now.
sorry i was alive this whole time i swear
This was everything I needed in life and now I need a two hour deep dive into wizards of wavelet place!!!

You’re welcome lol
I did not realize until rn that the episode titles are parody’s of songs lol thank you for your renditions they made me giggle
I just can’t believe I watched all of this lmaooo it was a pretty solid review though and I appreciated the single episode reviews instead of season reviews. True dedication shown with that and each episode title sung lol 10/10
2 hour retrospective on a show I haven’t watched in fifteen years and remember zero details from this shit’s gonna go crazy
The reason she doesn't have money is probably because it's in a trust for her until she turns 18 😂
Seamus singing all the episode names are a gold mine 😂❤
He came back and with a 2+hour video on a classic, as someone who doesn't normally buy merch for like anything, I have a Hannah Montana wig and silver Hannah Montana trousers, I also have 2 Wii games, yeah to say I was one of the fangirls would be quite accurate, I recently rewatch Ed the show and definitely see its flaws and a lot of storylines that went nowhere, but it was a fun part of my childhood
I never realised just how often the plot is that Miley is embarrassed of her best friend just being herself. So sick and twisted!
oh my god I watched every single episode of this show last year I never thought anyone else would catalogue all the weird shit that happens thank you so much seamus
Ok but that was lowkey a Mariah note at the end of Lily’s rendition of “One in a Million” 😂😂
Honey, wake up. A Seamus feature film has dropped..!
Seamus entering the multihour videos about old random kids shows is amazing. Enjoyed this whole thing. ❤
As someone who's never ever aeen Hannah Montana... This was a great video, and now I have a complete summary!
Thanks Seamus. 😉
Someone who’s never… aeen…the show? What?
Love how the purple jacket matches with the purple hair!
My logical brain hates this, as my first a-level exam is in 2 days, but my content brain *loves* a two hour Seamus video
same, got gcse's in 2 days and watching seamus instead of revising ☠
@@ejhxwlett I'm doing both at once, it's... half productive
@@daisygunning7366 haha i wish but i can only concentrate on one thing 😭 gl with ur exams!!
@@ejhxwlett Thanks, you too! Yeah, I struggle with concentrating on more than one thing, but I can semi-function
44:37 you could honestly insert that clip after pretty much everything that happens in the show
2 hours! Thank you, I'm gonna watch it all
Lemme tell ya in latinoamérica Hannah Montana was huge back then, but after that, arrived the 2013 disney channel musical telenovela “Violetta” and that was a revolution, I remember saying “is like the second coming of Hannah Montana and high school musical mixed but EN ESPAÑOL!!!” 😂 but it wasn’t even a sitcom, it was a telenovela (linear story, drama, and fun but a lot of drama and love triangles) but with a great musical production and talented cast since the main character goes to a music school so everyone sings and dances, and the actors were from different countries, it was set in Argentina 🇦🇷 but we had 1 Spanish 🇪🇸 love interest, 1 Mexican 🇲🇽 love interest, and Italian best friend, a Brazilian dude🇧🇷 and of you check it out please see it on the original language because the accents of the different nationalities of the cast adds some extra flavor in my opinion. (The downside was that as a telenovela is loooooong and plot progression and misunderstandings and such overstay their welcome, season 1 is like 80 episodes alone, but you could check the best moments ore episodes cuz at least the music still holds up, although the Voy por ti music video is cringe in a 2012 way and I love it, it’s so funny
the radiohead vs coldplay thing is the craziest plot i’ve ever heard
never knew I needed a 2 hour analysis for Hannah Montana until today.
😍LOVE the singing transitions!!!
Thank you so much for all the effort with this video. I absolutely loved the episode title intros with songs.
Why was I today years old before realising that every episode title was a play on a famous song??🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀🤦♀
The songs of the ep titles was a lovely touch!
obsessed with the fact that seamus is just becoming a disney channel youtuber now
I was obsessed with Hannah Montana when I was little. I think I loved looking at her cool outfits.
If this show wasn't so popular at the time I guess it would probably be one of those weird kids movies that is just so weird but nostalgic that as a grown up you think it's like a weird dream you had once.
why is it the first time im realizing that the titles of the episodes are songs?????????
The diabetes storyline most likely comes from Miley dating Nick Jonas, who has diabetes, they wanted to address that someone with Diabetes is still a person and he or she doesn’t change because of an illness like this.
Alsoo; Miley herself has ‘Hypoglycaemia’ which is a Blood Sugar illnes. (Lesser known, you can find info online)
I hav seen maybe two episodes of Hannah Montana
But I’ve been waiting on a Seamus video for a month and I’m going to watch this whole thing
