Because that's all that was available on youtube.. I didn't know it wasn't the full game until I had done the editing, but I posted the info in the video description.
And. In 1981. PSU. Who was #1 for 9 weeks before losing 2 straight to Miami and Alabama. My God. Did PSU play a big boy schedule. Beat #1 Pitt 48-14. Pitt beat GA in 1982 Sugar Bowl. Giving Clemson the Natty. This was the biggest game in CFB mid 70's to early 80's. Not arguable.
As much as I could not stand penn st I did respect them. Now I still can’t stand them, don’t respect them and don’t know why they didn’t get the death penalty.
I miss watching Penn State football with my dad.
Same, brother
@@CowboyRibeye right on. We got a good team this year.
College football was better when Pitt-Penn State was every year. When Pitt wore mustard and blue. And Pitt played at Pitt Stadium. Bring it all back.
This Game. From 1976 to 1986. The winner won 3 nattys. Played in 5 of the deciding National Championship games. In that ten year span. The Game.
3 Nattys? Penn State only had two, though they deserved more.
@ Victoria Jankowski. And Pitt won one . That's a a combined three ! He said the winner of the game. Not just Penn st.
@@victoriajankowski793 They actually have 7 if you throw in unclaimed nattys. Not two
That’s definitely Stan Savran commenting
RIP Stan
Crazy to think a game this big didn’t get on ABC/CBS
it was on national TV on "Black Friday" as I recall. Saw the game in Illinois back in 82 .
It was on ABC.
I was a student a Penn State in State College during this game. What a nail biter...so close.
Penn State had some pretty hilarious T-shirts for this game. If you attended you know exactly what I mean.
Stan Savarin??
Yes that's The Godfather Stan
Why the partial upload?
Because that's all that was available on youtube.. I didn't know it wasn't the full game until I had done the editing, but I posted the info in the video description.
The original uploader was a Pitt site, so they well have chosen to neglect most of the second half because PSU slowly strangled Pitt to death.

Part 2?
If the original uploader puts it up.
Given that I am a West Virginia fan I can say that Dan Marino has never been my favorite quarterback.

Steelbuck 6, so lame. You only post 2 minutes of the 2nd half? What bs. Guess you didn't want people to see how PSU crushed Pitt in the 2nd half.
win
Thanks!
