Hello and welcome to todays adventure. Like many skateboarders you’ve probably heard the name Rob Dyrdek. Well I decided to track down a few places they filmed the hit MTV show “Rob & Big”. Rob & Big is an American reality television series following the lives of professional skateboarder, actor, and producer Rob Dyrdek and his best friend and bodyguard Christopher "Big Black" Boykin. It premiered on November 2, 2006, and concluded on April 15, 2008, after three seasons. Reruns air on the Pluto TV channel FunnyAF, and on MTV's sister network, MTV2. The series was followed by Fantasy Factory.
Most episodes follow a central task or event in the daily life of Rob and Big, such as attempting to break Guinness World Records, having their home exorcised, skateboarding, buying 12 remote-control helicopters, and Rob's obsession with a net gun. They purchased two animals, a mini horse named Mini Horse and a bulldog named Meaty.
Boykin broke two Guinness World Records on the show for eating the most powdered sugar doughnuts in less than three minutes, and for peeling and eating the most bananas in one minute.

Rob & Big was a str8 comfort food show, it was always on in a marthon, 4,6,8 shows in a row. Do work son !!
PS. Where they found & returned the turtles was Franklin Canyon Reservoir in Beverly Hills.

They mainly took the rail out of the ground along with a few other obstacles because when the show was being filmed the skatepark didn’t exist yet. The skatepark was built in 2009, about 4 years after the show was filmed. That was the main area that all the skaters would skate around in Venice so the city decided to build a skatepark.

I looked at this house when it was listed for sale just after the show was done filming....the fridge still had the turd in the baggy from one of the episodes in the freezer and even had clothes still in the dryer...it was surreal walking thru the house in Bigs room in the closet there was still his old business cards....it was a good era

I wish you would have knocked and asked for a tour of the house. I'm pretty sure that whoever bought the Rob and Big house, really wouldn't have a problem showing it to you... would have been cool.
The guy that lives there was actually out on the balcony when I walked up. He asked what I was doing. Jus said I was taking a few pics and I left. I don’t like filming peoples house. I didn’t wanna push my luck. Would of been super cool to see inside the house tho!

I went to the Fantasy Factory back in 2011. Rob waved to me through a window. 2 years later I met Big Black at a car show in Dallas. He was not very friendly :/ Rip tho
Oh wow! That’s unfortunate. I met Rob back in 2009 right after Rob & Big ended at his skatepark in Kettering, Ohio. He was doing a signing with his team there. Still have a signed hat by him.
