I wrote a song to this track called "My Dear Angel". Its for my brother who committed suic+de in 2016. For years i couldn't find the track again and i did tonight at a time i needed it the most. My song to my brother is about addiction and the fight for life during struggles. Thankyou for helping me heal with this. I appreciate you

Of course, many mistakes, and all. But like, this made me feel great about myself. That just motivated me to keep playing guitar :D

For those asking in the comments, the chords are:
    A sect: Am, Am, F, G
*(when transitioning to a B section, hit an E instead of a G)
    B sect: C, Am, F, G

      Hi Paul,
Do you have any current videos about how you produce, record and edit your videos?
How to do a guitar RUclips channel?
Hardware you're using, software you're using. How you ensure sound quality? Tips and tricks for making things go more quickly/smoothly?
Would you have bought better cameras first? Better interface? Better software?
My creation process is basically a trash fire and limits the amount I can produce and the quality. Looking for help.

Yeah, it probably felt good to play real music and stop playing that god awful metal shit. This backing track requires a command of melody, dynamics, and timing. If this were a metal backing track, you could play scales really fast and not have to worry about anything other than what key you're in. It's really a garbage way to play.
Metal is literally top three worst genres in music. It's not even debatable. Most metal guitarists can't play their instruments and hide behind a genre that rewards 'aggressive' sounds to crafting a nuanced motif. Sorry if this hurts your feelings, but you need to hear the truth. If you can only play metal, you're an awful musician.

Haha, I just watched one of your videos about guitar practice, since I spent a lot of time in the office lately and haven't had much time to play guitar.. Then I recognized that I really developed a habit to focus on theory instead of practicing. So I decided it was time to just grab my guitar and stop over-thinking everything. I searched for the "jam track" on google and clicked the first thing I came along. After jamming to this song several times I recognized that you're the same guy I just watched the theory video of.. So I guess it's time to say thank you for the versatile and useful uploads! It really seems like _everything is connected_ after all!

then verse: C (with the pinky on the thinnest string, 3rd fret), Am7 (the pinky remains on the 1st string), C6/F (1st finger bars string 2 and 6, middle finger on 4th string - 2nd fret, ring finger on 3rd string - 2nd fret, pinky remains on 1st string - 3rd fret) and then G; I played everything fingerstyle

I'm learning the caged shapes, the roots and intervals, the major scale in each caged shape position, the major pentatonic and the relative minor pentatonic in each position. Starting with C so this was perfect to be able to switch between the major penta and minor penta.

I think somebody had a question on the progression. Let's see if I got this right. The first line is a bar of Am, then a split bar of F and G, then back to a bar of Am, then another split bar of F and G.
The second line is the same thing, except the final G is replaced with E.
Do these two lines again. And from the final E segue to C major.
In the C major section, play one bar each of C (with added high G), Am7, Fadd2, and G, picking up the high G (1st string 3rd fret) in each chord. Can also pull off the 1st string 3rd fret G, for the open E, except for the Fadd2, which gives you an F.
The 3rd chord after C is Fadd2 and the fourth chord in the progression is G. Right? In any case, a very enjoyable piece to play. And of course, we can do the same thing in Em and G major. Thanks!

Stumbled on this and really enjoyed jamming along. Seemed to invoke fairly creative melodies rather than just my usual wanking! Thanks so much for posting.
