Mental how people think this is too loud and stupid… like the car does have a comfort mode which closes the valve and makes it nearly silent 😂. It’s not like it 24/7!
Yes but being a bellend is plain and simple being a bellend, comfort mode ain't an option when you have the mental capacity of a bellend, it's a 24/7 thing 😉.
So why would any intelligent individual pay to have the option of having the bellend valve open.

Dan has your 140 with Remus race exhaust coursed issue with heat shield coming loose just above backbox. Since installation of Remus earthquake loud exhaust has loosened heat shield. It's probably the loudest in sports especially dropping it flappy paddle mode in sports
@@hotchill11 haven't had any heat shield issues, when I installed a zaero design rear splitter it is fouling on that and causing a rattle, but I think that might be because I've just attached the splitter with the plastic rivets and 10mm bolts x2, will probably need to take the whole bumper off and do a more extensive job!

Do you need a m performance exhaust for it to sound like this? Or will my stock exhaust be fine? Im thinking of doing this to my 540i
Stock exhaust retains the valve. You can also gut the standard backbox. Personally would remove the small silencer(box shaped) assuming its the same as the 140. Leave the resonator(cylindrical) in and see how you get on. The former is volume and the latter is for cancelling undesirable frequencies.
I got a 2015 1 series for my first car in December hopefully I can upgrade to a m140i soon !
I have stock cat with double res delete and it sounds the same as yours, dont really see the point in sports cats or decats unless your mapping in pops and bangs?

Did you install ll of these to your 540i? I have a 540i as well and did a Remus axleback Exhaust and I am really satisfied. Don‘t too loud but it is a big saloon at the end.

I have similar set-up with Remus race exhaust and it's mental. I do turn off burbles sometimes then I get board and enable it. Was in London few days ago was crazy through Dartford tunnel. Worth the £2.50 charge.

I love the sound and I want to do this with my m240i. However, I would like it to be a bit quieter when going through residential areas etc, how quiet can you make acceleration when you put it in comfort mode? Compared to the pulls at the end of your video?
When In comfort mode the car is nearly completely silent

Missing my m140i at the min, was hit by a drunk driver over a week ago and not gonna lie I'm lucky to be alive. Hopefully it can be fixed so I can continue with it or I go back to looking for another. Flash backs everytime I see one now fingers crossed.

still has the catalytic converter and back box. only issue he might get is exceeding decibel level that is allowed on cars

One of the first performances cars I had back in the day was an Audi RS2, it was 4 yrs old when I got it and it had a stupid semi straight through exhaust fitted by the previous owner.
I promptly fitting a semi standard factory system back and enjoyed the performance for 10yrs without feeling like a bellend with a boom boom boy exhaust.
Basically it’s about saying “look at me”

Needs the cold start mapped out for sure. I had decat, long res delete and m performance backbox and cold start would rattle teeth and shake windows in a morning 🙉

@@W00LFY100 getting a pair of bilstein B6 dampers fitted on the back sorts out the rear nicely. It's the stock damping (or lack thereof) that's the main issue.

@@BrettBarnesYTI assume a GPF would make quite a bit difference to sound with the same setup? Can you remove the GPF without having MOT issues?

@@AJAnewage My M140i has the GPF and there’s no direct workaround as it’s a Euro 6 emissions regulation so would instantly fail the MOT, but soon I’m gonna put a Remus backbox with a single res delete (keeping the GPF) which I think would be plenty imo. Of course if you wanna risk it you can take it off and then put it back on for the MOT, but that’s a faff and would also void your insurance.
