    I have most of the brands you mentioned, and love them all. Each time my husband would pick one up to use for ANYTHING, I’d say, “Thank you, dear, you just bought me a new pair!” Admittedly, they’re all still sharp, but, he’s learned his lesson, as each pair is more expensive than the one before! 😂

    I absolutely love my Gingher scissors - have had them for 30 years-). I've recently purchased, though, several other pairs from FQS: Sweet Snips and Cotton Candy. I love the idea of having a pir in each project bag -- my goal for the remainder of the year! I haven't tried Kai but am going to, I think. Good scissors make all the difference in whatever crafting I do. Thank you so much for making these "All About" series of videos. I have found them to be so wonderfully helpful! And I am learning which is a wonderful thing. Take care.

    Kimberly, this was really a great Stitchy Talk! My favorite scissors for cross stitch are my beautiful, red, super sharp Bohin which I purchased at FQS! I also love my gold stork Gingher scissors, I have had them since the mid 1980’s and they are still as sharp as they were when they were new. They are a bit pricey but so worth the investment. And no, I don’t bring either of these with me anywhere, I use less expensive ones when I need to travel with them. For my sewing room I use Karen Kay Buckley, serrated and super sharp. I don’t remember the sizes but the smaller ones are green and the ones I use for collage quilting are blue, and also assorted Gingher’s. Thank for this segement…now I want to buy more scissors!✂️✂️✂️

  • @dodge10P1N
    @dodge10P1N Год назад

    I prefer a thread snips. Theyre the ones that dont have holes for your fingers, you just squeeze closed to cut. Fiskars makes one that’s actually really nice, affordable, and readily available. Plus, i love thsts it has a locking mechanism so its not dangerous. I have big fingers so the little embroidery scissors usually dont fit and rub on my fingers. But now im curious to try some diff ones!

I’ve recently discovered the mini scissors Pricilla uses, cheap, sharp, tiny and have an attached sheath. I love the ginger that looks like a stork. I like a thin blade so I can cut out stitches if I make a mistake. Or, just recently did not like the color of the thread in the piece so I cut out the threads. I don’t like to do that because I have accidentally cut the fabric. Did not ruin the fabric, but it warps it and the fabric is not just as strong.
