I have to admit, I cried, they really did an excellent job, the au is super cute, now I'm a fan of this ship, the truth is when I read Mapleshade's Revenge, I felt that these two would have been an incredible couple, it's super cute! I love the final scene where Apple is shown, this really is art!
This is hands down my absolute favorite shipping map now, and one of my favorite maps in general. The entire story is simple and easy to understand yet incredibly heartfelt, with every dynamic scene and vivid background bringing the ambiance to life. The final scene where everyone reunited and were actually shown forgiving each other and becoming united as a family was so important too, a perfect way to conclude the map considering how filled with hate and zero resolution the canonical Mapleshade’s Vengeance book was. Honestly the entire project got me emotional, thank you so much to all the participants for sharing ❤️

the way i practically CHOKED ON MY WATER when i saw that this awesome map was finally done! i remember seeing the map call right when it was first posted, and seeing it come to fruition was amazing! not only did this map introduce me to the local natives (best band), but it also added so many layers to the canon story. mapleshade's vengeance was already my favorite novella, but the way that birchface's death happened right after starclan warned ravenwing about obeying the medicine cat code, and the implication that ravenwing blames himself because of that just... hits me right in the feels man phenomenal work as always almondsun, and great job done by all the animators who brought this gorgeous map to life. as a young queer guy in a hateful world, it brings me indescribable joy and comfort seeing these silly little kitties end up happy together despite everything. seriously, everyone who participated should be extremely proud! :)

So happy to see all mapleshades victims together and happy, as they all did nothing to deserve a gruesome death. It's oakstar she should've taken her revenge out on. Ravenwing was doing his job. Frecklewish had no way to help. Appledusk lost his kits too, he's a cheater and has a manslaughter charge for sure tho.
I do feel fecklewish could of done more..used a branch to try and help scoop out the kits, screamed for help, or even attempted to stop maple..she was horrible to the kittens, they did nothing wrong snd she spat foul words at them..but I don’t think she deserves literal hell for it! Oakstar does however, he caused all of it via breaking the code
Part of Ravenwing’s job description is making sure kits are protected. He deliberately and maliciously revealed the secret and told Mapleshade as much. And he’s xenophobic. He’s just as culpable as Oakstar.

Oowww the wholesomeness! It's just too cute! I love the map and everyone who did it did a great job! I think that the story between Ravenwing and Birchface seems to be a lot of a better of a concept for Ravenwing to accuse Mapleshade along with the reeds in his den. It would've sulfide his reasonings even if he didn't full out say that he was in love with Birch.
Aaw tysm, really glad you enjoyed the MAP! 🫶❤️💗 You pointed out this exact detail regarding the reeds sign perfectly!! The way I wrote it; in this AU, Ravenwing immediately suspected her lies at the moment she mentioned Birchface's name but the medicine cat needed additional conformation, to make a believable excuse (the reed pieces) and making the whole clan turn against Mapleshade. Ravenwing was enraged that the father of her kits was the cat who "killed" his beloved Birchface & he felt that making her atone for her sin would somehow "please" Birchface from Starclan. Obviously from Birchface's expressions in his ghost form, that's not the case.

I adore the end credits of Birchface forgiving Apple for launching him into the sea. I love MV maps that are ACTUALLY centered around the side characters instead of finding ways to unnecessarily jam 🍁 in. Birchface and Ravenwing wedding when?? ‼️🪶🪶🌲🍏 I will be making fanart of this!

I LOVE THIS M.A.P SO MUCH- Everyone did an amazing job. And also, this is canon and nobody can change my mind. Plus, the post credit scene is so sweet. Flowerpaw hugs her mentor Birchface, then Appledusk comes with his kits (he's also looking at them with a proud expression at first, it's so cute) and looks up at Birchface with tears in his eyes but still gives a warm smile, Birchface runs to him and forgives Appledusk and they hug one another, the kits still being innocent and going to Ravenwing and hugging him, and Ravenwing finally gets to see his beloved mentor again, Oakspeckle (I think that was her name? Correct me if I'm wrong) and Frecklewish immediately hugging her brother. Meanwhile Mapleshade is watching angrily from the Dark Forest before looking away in a sad look (Appledusk is also looking on "protective dad" mode, I love that so much) (I also love the idea of everyone that died in Mapleshade's Vengeance being buddies in StarClan) This M.A.P is awesome agahGaygau-

BIRCHFACE FORGIVING APPLEDUSK AT THE END… AND APPLE WITH THE KITS…. I AM SO WEAKKK (for all of his flaws, appledusk really did love his kits and that much is clear in the book. he also seemed really bothered by the fact that he killed birchface; he said it was accident and was mentioned to shudder and stiffen at the mention of it. i’m happy to see all that remembered!!!!)

Its been a journey and I am so glad Ive been able to see it from start to finish. This MAP introduced me to one of my best friends and was one of the first ones I ever joined. Honestly this MAP was one of the things that gave me the push to go deeper into MAP hell which got me to where I am today. All the animators did so amazing the colors are so beautiful and everything flows together. ALSO END CREDITS!! REDEMPTION FOR THE BASTARD MAN. God the storyline the EVERYTHING this map has been so close to my heart for so long and its been through hell to get here but it was so worth it. Here we are, so surreal seeing this completed! I wasn't able to catch the premiere, but you best believe I played this on my living room TV as soon as I was home from work. Dude I SOBBED, both from the touching presentation of Raven and Birch's story, and also from getting to see the final product of every participant's hard work. Such a unique concept, and all the talented artists made incredibly beautiful parts! When (Mousefur X Spottedleaf) MAP 🤝 When Am I Gonna Lose You MAP Sad Gay Kitties In Heaven I like to think that, once in Starclan, Ravenwing and Birchface adopt Mapleshade's kits and Flowerpaw. Appledusk hangs out with his kits sometimes, but for the most part he's content that they're in better care with their dads. Frecklewish is also there, being everyone's favorite aunt. Oatspeckle just acts like the grandma that bakes way too many cookies without intending to.
Well pointed out!!! 💗 It was actually an intentional detail, to show her guilt for the murdering spree she committed. At that moment she realised that her doings only brought her victims, clanmates and immediately family together and stronger.

Agreed!!! Oakstar literally broke the warrior code by exiling innocent kits and putting them in danger. He's truly the one at fault.
I do feel fecklewish could of done more..used a branch to try and help scoop out the kits, screamed for help, or even attempted to stop maple..she was horrible to the kittens, they did nothing wrong snd she spat foul words at them..but I don’t think she deserves literal hell for it! Oakstar does however, he caused all of it via breaking the code
Part of Ravenwing’s job description is making sure kits are protected. He deliberately and maliciously revealed the secret and told Mapleshade as much. And he’s xenophobic. He’s just as culpable as Oakstar.

Oowww the wholesomeness! It's just too cute! I love the map and everyone who did it did a great job! I think that the story between Ravenwing and Birchface seems to be a lot of a better of a concept for Ravenwing to accuse Mapleshade along with the reeds in his den. It would've sulfide his reasonings even if he didn't full out say that he was in love with Birch.

The way I wrote it; in this AU, Ravenwing immediately suspected her lies at the moment she mentioned Birchface's name but the medicine cat needed additional conformation, to make a believable excuse (the reed pieces) and making the whole clan turn against Mapleshade. Ravenwing was enraged that the father of her kits was the cat who "killed" his beloved Birchface & he felt that making her atone for her sin would somehow "please" Birchface from Starclan. Obviously from Birchface's expressions in his ghost form, that's not the case.

I adore the end credits of Birchface forgiving Apple for launching him into the sea. I love MV maps that are ACTUALLY centered around the side characters instead of finding ways to unnecessarily jam 🍁 in. Birchface and Ravenwing wedding when?? ‼️🪶🪶🌲🍏 I will be making fanart of this!

Aw! Such a wholesome ship, it also gives an excuse to why Ravenwing feels so passionately about Mapleshade lying to her clan. I love Frecklewish's little appearances, especially comforting Ravenwing after her brother's death made it seem like she cared about the cat's in her clan and was a more well-rounded character. Overall love the MAP, sorry for the paragraph response ;)

I LOVE THIS M.A.P SO MUCH-
Everyone did an amazing job. And also, this is canon and nobody can change my mind. Plus, the post credit scene is so sweet. Flowerpaw hugs her mentor Birchface, then Appledusk comes with his kits (he's also looking at them with a proud expression at first, it's so cute) and looks up at Birchface with tears in his eyes but still gives a warm smile, Birchface runs to him and forgives Appledusk and they hug one another, the kits still being innocent and going to Ravenwing and hugging him, and Ravenwing finally gets to see his beloved mentor again, Oakspeckle (I think that was her name? Correct me if I'm wrong) and Frecklewish immediately hugging her brother. Meanwhile Mapleshade is watching angrily from the Dark Forest before looking away in a sad look (Appledusk is also looking on "protective dad" mode, I love that so much) (I also love the idea of everyone that died in Mapleshade's Vengeance being buddies in StarClan)

After almost 2 years as well!! Goddamn this map project almost made me cry. Its been a journey and I am so glad Ive been able to see it from start to finish. This MAP introduced me to one of my best friends and was one of the first ones I ever joined. Honestly this MAP was one of the things that gave me the push to go deeper into MAP hell which got me to where I am today. All the animators did so amazing the colors are so beautiful and everything flows together. ALSO END CREDITS!! REDEMPTION FOR THE BASTARD MAN. God the storyline the EVERYTHING this map has been so close to my heart for so long and its been through hell to get here but it was so worth it. EVERYONE GO CHECK OUT EVERYONE WHO WORKED ON THIS AND ALSO MAJOR THANK YOU TO ALMOND FOR BEING A FANTASTIC HOST how they run maps is who I inspire to be because holy crap this was one of the best experiences Ive had.

Unfortunately i couldnt make the premiere but this map turned out so beautiful ❤️ all the parts are just so breathtaking and the storytelling is excellent. Here we are, so surreal seeing this completed! I wasn't able to catch the premiere, but you best believe I played this on my living room TV as soon as I was home from work. Dude I SOBBED, both from the touching presentation of Raven and Birch's story, and also from getting to see the final product of every participant's hard work. Such a unique concept, and all the talented artists made incredibly beautiful parts! Almond I can't say it enough but thank you for letting me join, this will truly go down as one of the best MAP experiences I've had and I'll always cherish that ❤

I like to think that, once in Starclan, Ravenwing and Birchface adopt Mapleshade's kits and Flowerpaw. Appledusk hangs out with his kits sometimes, but for the most part he's content that they're in better care with their dads. Frecklewish is also there, being everyone's favorite aunt. Oatspeckle just acts like the grandma that bakes way too many cookies without intending to.

Interesting detail but if you notice mapleshade shows a little bit of guilt, through her expression.
Well pointed out!!! 💗 It was actually an intentional detail, to show her guilt for the murdering spree she committed. At that moment she realised that her doings only brought her victims, clanmates and immediately family together and stronger.
