Whenever I hear my cat grooming herself, I get tingly around my neck and I feel so relaxed. I usually crawl close to her to hear her better and it's paradise
I don't know what it is I find so relaxing about this. It should sound gross, but this always puts me right to sleep. I thought I was weird for liking to listen to my cat groom herself lol.
I have had cats my whole life. I remember as a kid having a cat lying next to my pillow and falling asleep to the sound of it grooming. I find it so relaxing and comforting.
I'm a dog person, really, but I lived in an apartment with three cats for a couple years and one of them was my buddy, always sleeping in my room. I remember how relaxing it was hearing him groom himself while I fell asleep... and so I guess I'm a cat person too :)

uhm- haiii but i wanted to say- cats licking themselves for a long period of time shows stress and anxiety, licking is proven to calm a cat down meaning- your cat must've been very stressed ;-; btw ily
its really funny how i keep revisiting this video due to how good it is. the trigger for me doesn't really come from the sounds, but rather mostly from what can be seen visually in the video. it really helps keep me calm. and no, im not a weird person for liking what's visually being seen, people just have their own opinions.
I love it when cats clean their paws! My old cat used to do it more, but our newest cat doesn't groom herself as often (as least in front of me, anyways).

I had a cranky black cat. Very aloof and didn't like to be pet too much because she was over stimulated easily. I knew she loved me because she would lay right next to me a groom herself which is pretty big sign a cat likes you. She passed recently and I miss her grooming sounds. This video helps alot although my girl would snort sometimes lol
