I'm 5'10" and the ALU's height isn't bad, I'm fine with a stool for longer sessions but my knees do hit, and I can def feel it in my wrists if I'm standing after a while. I ordered the 3" riser last week after a lot of debating 3 or 5. Sounds like I'll be happy (I just wish BuyStuff would throw up a friggin tracking #).
Sounds like it doesn't screw in at all though? Or does it?

@@nevursleep How did you end up liking the 3" riser? I am a couple inches shorter than you, would you suggest still getting a 3" riser for guests and stuff?
Thanks for the review, Mike. I'm setting my Atgames Legend up with my favorite games from CoinopsX now and will set it up at the perfect height next. I'm 6 feet, and while either riser looks good, I'm going to try the 5 inch one, which will hopefully be perfect. Thanks again for the great review, as always! :)

@@Mike-B-Jackson I'm 5'7" and was looking at the 5" riser. Think that would be too high? Stock is way too low! Like you said, you're looking down too much!

Thanks for the video Michael B. I am glad I picked one up on NOD Sunday, I picked up the 3” one, should be perfect. I was really happy with the NOD offer of a free month arcade net. I did not expect that. Looks great too. which riser will you keep the 5” or 3”?

@@dillonjay6041 Same here Dillon, I ordered the 5 inch riser during NOD Sale.
I'm 5'7" and the ALU feels too short. Controls are low and screen is low for me. Not sure to do the 3" or 5". I want to say the 5" but not sure. Worried that might be to much but the 3" I'm worried I won't notice much of a difference.
I’m 5,6” and the 3 inch riser was perfect for me.

I wish iI had seen these before I purchased the one I have. The one I purchased doesnt have the chrome trim!! These look so good with the cab.
Did you ever get a chance use a stool with the 5" riser? If so, how does it compare to the 3" riser and a stool?
I actually ordered this while already having the other one that's been available for a while from another source. This design is superior to it enough that I upgraded my riser.

Wow surprised how high the iiracade is? They look so small next to Atgames. They will be perfect for the new 3/4 cabs coming.

Hey man, thanks for the info! Any chance you tried adding two of the risers, stacking the 5" and 3"? If so, was it sturdy? I'm 6'5" and just the 5" riser isn't enough for me, was actually hoping it would be sturdy enough to stack two 5" risers under the cab. Cheers man!
I'm trying to decide if I should get the 5" or 3" I play using the arcade 1up stools. From just imagining having my hands resting 5" higher it from a sitting on still position it seems like the 5" may be uncomfortable. Feels like the 5" is better is you are doing mostly standing play but 3" better for arcade 1up stools play. Anyone else tried this out ?

You're timing is perfect, Michael B.! I'm 6 ft 1 in so I ordered the 5 inch riser during the NOD Sale. Very happy to see it will bring the Control Panel height about the same as my iiRcade which is exactly what I'm looking for. Did you take you ALU apart to get it on the Riser or just use your Super GameRoom Strength? I'm thinking of bear hugging it onto the riser myself.
Haha Super Gameroom Strength but it wasn't fun and i had to do it multiple times for the video, hope it was worth the hernia. The 5" riser will work perfectly for you then

Great review but YIKES these are expensive. $79 before tax and shipping for both the 3” and 5” versions? Seems a bit high to me.
a bit? though it wont look as nice better off getting a long 3 or 5 inch piece of wood to put under it likely much cheaper.
Sam’s Club was asking for a $50 handling fee. It’s going to be waved with a $45 join-the-club fee. I’ll try Walmart.
