اُمُّ القرٰی
دنیا میں مکّہ شہر کوسب جانتے ہیں کیونکہ اسی شہر میں اللہ کا گھر ہے اور دنیا کے تمام مسلمان اسی شہر میں عمرہ اور حج کی ادائیگی کے لئے جاتے ہیں۔ لیکن لوگوں کی اکثریت کو اس بات کا علم نہیں ہے کہ مکّہ شہر کو اُمُّ القرٰی/ بستیوں کی ماں بھی کہا جاتاہے ۔ دنیا میں اس شہر کا کیا مقام ہے اور دنیا کے تمام شہروں کے لئے اس شہرمکّہ کا کیا کردار ہے، محمد شیخ کا یہ درس اسی بات کی وضاحت کرتا ہے اور بہت اہمیت کا حامل ہے۔

الحمدللہ اس لیکچر کو سن کر بہت اہم باتیں سمجھ میں آ گئی کہ اممی نبی عیسیٰ علیہ السلام ہیں اور مکہ مکرمہ کا شہر جو ہے وہ شہروں کی ماں ہے اور کتاب کی ماں تورات قانون بھی سمجھ آیا اور ہر وہ احکام والی آیات جو ہم کو ماں کی طرح بتا رہی ہیں اور اس میں لوگوں کو خبردار کرنے کو کہا ماں کا جو کردار ہوتا ہے وہ گائیڈ کرنے سے ہے۔

بچپن سے سنا تھا دنیا کا مرکز کعبہ ہے لیکن آیات کی وضاحت سے پتا چلا کہ جیسے کتابوں ماں ام الکتاب ہے ایسے شہروں کی مکہ ہے اور وہاں کے لوگ امی ہیں اور حیرت کی بات ہے کہ ہمیں وہاں سے ہدایت ملے گی لیکن وہاں کے لوگوں کو خبردار باہر والوں کو کرنا ہے اور امی نبی عیسیٰ علیہ السلام ہیں ان سب باتوں کو ماننا میرے لئے مشکل تھا اگر اللہ کی رحمت نہ ہوتی۔

A Mother has a very strong relationship with her child and has a great hold on the Child’s emotions and intellect.
She also protects the child and takes care of his/ her needs

Our mothers govern us, teach us what to do and what not to do.
The Law of the Quran, is called the mother of the Book, it govern us.
We learn all the dos and don'ts from the Taurah (law), it's the Law to live by,
which will result in us having a successful life here and hereafter.
Hamari maen humein hukumat karti hain, humein batati hain ke kya karna chahiye aur kya nahi.
Quran ka qanoon, jo kitaab ki maa kehlata hai, hum per hukumat karta hai.
Hum tamam karne aur na karne ki baatein Taurat (qanoon) se seekhte hain, yeh woh qanoon hai jise jeene ke liye apnana chahiye,
jo hamari duniya aur aakhirat mein kamyabi ka sabab banta hai
Meaning of Arabic words, 'Umm/Mother', 'Ummi/my Mother', 'Umm-ul-Qura/ Mother of the Cities' & 'Umm-ul-Kitab/Mother of The Book'. Mother of the Cities is taken as Mecca or Centre of the Earth & those who are residents of it are called 'Ummi' or 'Motherly ones'. Another usage, 'Ummi Nabi/Motherly Prophet' which is Essa PBUH. Mothers take care of children, intellectual & emotionally, while providing all necessities. Also, exercising authority while protecting & between them is a very strong bond. Keeping this relationship & concept in mind, we can understand When Allah mentions, 'Umm-ul-Kitab/Mother of The Book' & 'Umm-ul-Qura/Mother of the Cities '.
Type of ayats mentioned as Mother of The Book are referred to Muhkamat/Governing Ayats which are Do's & Don'ts. Muhkamat/Governing Ayats contains Hukum of Allah which is At-Torah/The Law, by which we should be governed & exercise authority over us.
Allah revealed The Book, so Mother of the Cities (Mecca) & those around are warned.
Due to birth pain, Marium said 'I would have died & been forgotten' & came to a tree of Dates. To her from underneath or subordinate, Essa PBUH who is taught knowledge of The Book, Hikmat/The Wisdom, At-Torah/The Law, Al-Injeal/The Good News by Allah, said 'Grieve not, shake the tree & eat off the fresh dates'. Moreover, eat & drink cooling your eyes & say to any human that you have fasted for the Most Gracious & will not speak. This guidance to Marium was given through Essa PBUH by Allah. Hence, 'Ummi Nabi/Motherly Prophet' is referred to Essa PBUH.

After understanding the term UMMI in the context of the related Ayats, it becomes clear that it does not mean “illiterate” as is often mistakenly associated with Muhammad (pbuh). Instead, it means “MOTHERLY.”
Ummul Qura refers to the “Mother of Cities” (Mecca), Ummul Kitab means the “Mother of the Book” (Governing Ayats or the Taurah), and Ummi Nabi translates to the “Motherly Prophet” (Jesus pbuh). MARYAM (pbuh) was in Ummul Qura (Mecca) when she shook the palm tree, and Allah provided water beneath her during the birth of the “Motherly Prophet,” CHRIST JESUS SON OF MARYAM, who carries his mother’s name all along in Quran.
وضاحت ہوئی کہ ام لفظ کے معنی قرآن میں ماں سے متعلق ہے ۔جسے ام الکتاب/کتاب کی ماں، ام القرٰی/بستیوں کی ماں ، امی نبی/ ماں والا نبی۔
کیونکہ کہ ماں کا اپنے بچوں سے مخصوص رشتہ ہوتا ہے ۔ وہ ان کی پرورش ،ان کو جذبات اور عقل سے کنٹرول کرتی ہے، authority کا استعمال کرتی ہے،حفاظت اور خیال رکھتی ہے ۔بلکل اسی طرح محکم آیات پر اگر ہم زندگی گزارے وہ ہمیں نفسیاتی اور جذباتی طور پر کنڑول کرتی ہیں اور حاکمیت کا اختیار رکھتی ہیں ۔ اور غذا کا اور پروش کے طور پر کام کرتی ہیں۔
اسی طرح ام القرٰی/بستوں کی ماں مکہ شہر کو کہا گیا اس کا بھی تعلق دوسرے شہروں سے ماں کا سا ہے ۔ کیونکہ اس کے ساتھ ایک مخصوص رشتہ ہے اور وہاں سے ہی اسلامی قوانین کے ذریعے دوسرے شہروں کو کنٹرول کیا جا سکتا ہے۔
امی نبی/ ماں والا نبی ،عیسیٰ علیہ السلام امی نبی/ ماں والا نبی اس لیے ہے کیونکہ ایک تو آپ بغیر باپ کے پیدا ہوئے دوسرا آپ شہروں کی ماں /ام القری کے رہنے والے تھے کیونکہ آپ علیہ السلام کی پیدائش مکہ میں ہوئی ۔

Assalamu alaikum.
A mother has a very important and special relationship with her children, which is evident in the way she takes care of them after birth, providing for their hunger, thirst, and upbringing. She controls and trains them in various situations, using her maternal authority and influencing them emotionally and intellectually. This is why a child forms a strong bond with their mother, which lasts a lifetime.
Similarly, Allah has mentioned Umm al-Qura (Mother of Cities), Umm al-Kitab (Mother of the Book), and Umm an-Nabi (Mother of the Prophet) in the Quran.
The verses with commands are called the Mother of the Book (3:7).
Similarly, Allah says, "Thus We have sent down to you an Arabic Quran, that you may warn the Mother of Cities (Makkah) and those around it..." (42:7).
Brother Muhammad Sheikh has explained this in detail in his lecture, "What does the Quran say about Umm al-Qura?" These verses are explained in such a beautiful way that no other scholar can explain them. I am grateful to Allah and Brother Muhammad Sheikh. These verses are a guidance for humanity. I have faith and have reformed many flaws in my life.
"UMMI" doesn't mean as illiterate it means my Mother. And Essa (pbuh) is the only messenger mentioned in Quran with the name of his mother Maryam (pbuh). It's true that personalities of prophets mentioned in Quran are justified and defended by Br Muhammad Shaikh from so called Muslims.
شہروں کی ماں وہی شہر ہوسکتا ہے جو سب شہروں کے لیے بحیثیت ماں کردار ادا کرتی ہو جس کے گرد سب شہر ہوں کسی حیثیت میں بھی. اور مختلف حیثیت خاص کر اللہ کے کلام اور اس کے پہنچانے کے حوالے سے شہر مکہ سب شہروں کی ماں ہے اور اس کے رہنے والے سب لوگ اُمی یعنی ماں والے ہیں جو الکتاب کا علم نہیں رکھتے اس کی روح سے ناواقفیت کے حوالے سے، اور تمناؤں اور اندازوں سے کام لیتے ہیں.
اللہ کی آیات موضوع پر پیش کرکے ان کی روح سے واقفیت کرائی گئی اور اُم القریٰ کا مقام واضح ہو گیا اور ضمنی طور پر دیگر اھم ھدایات سے نظریہ اور عمل کی درستگی ہوگئی جو لوگوں کی سننے اور ماننے کی بجائے اللہ کی آیات سے راہنمائی ملی. جزاک اللہ خیرا.

In the Quran, Allah has used the word "Umm," which means "mother." For example, Umm al-Kitab (Mother of the Book), Umm al-Qura (Mother of Cities, referring to Makkah as the center of the earth). We also say "Ummi" (my mother) and "Umm an-Nabi" (Mother of the Prophet).
In the Quran, the only prophet mentioned with His mother is Essa the son of Mary explained in detail, He was given knowledge of the Book, wisdom, Torah, and Gospel.
A person's relationship with their mother is emotional, intellectual, psychological, social, and deeply profound. A mother also has authority over her child, teaches them principles and rules of life, and ensures they follow these guidelines.
Brother Muhammad Sheikh has explained this relationship using Quranic verses in his lecture, "What does the Quran say about Umm al-Qura?" He has clearly explained how we should reform ourselves and act upon these verses, which contain Allah's commands. I am grateful to Allah and Brother Muhammad Sheikh..

جن آیات میں اللہ کا حکم ہے وہ تورات ہے اور تورات کتاب کی ماں ہے۔ وہ محکمات آیات ہم سے اپنے بچے کی طرح تربیت دیتی ہے جیسے کہ ایک ماں اپنے بچے سے۔ وہ اپنے بچے پر کنٹرول رکھتی ہے، اسکی دیکھ بھال کرتی ہے، اسے بھٹکنے نہیں دیتی۔
اس لیکچر سے پتہ چلا کہ حکم والی آیات جو کتاب کی ماں ہیں ان سے ہمارا تعلق وہی ہونا چاہئے جو ماں سے ہوتا ہے یعنی متاثر ہونا جذباتی لگاؤ حکم ماننا روحانی غذائیت کا حصول اور حکم عدولی کرنے پر خوف
اور مکہ کا کردار تمام شہر وں کی ماں جیسا ہے
۔حضرت عیسی ماں والے یعنی امی نبی ہیں ۔
Ummul Qura/Mother of all cities is Makkah and Eisa is Ummi Nabi
قرآن کوپڑھنےسےپتہ چلتاہےکہ نوحؑ، ابراہیمؑ، اسماعیلؑ، اسحاقؑ، یعقوبؑ، یوسفؑ
اوراُن کےبھائی سب اُمُّ القرٰی/بستیوں کی ماں مکہ کےرہنے والےتھے
جب ابراہیمؑ اوراسماعیلؑ نےیہ دُعا کی کہ اِن لوگوں میں انہی میں سےایک
رسول مبعوث/مقرّرکردےجوتیری آیات کی تلاوت کرےاورکتاب/لکھائ کا
اورحکمت/دانائی کاعلم دےاورتزکیہ/جوازپیش کرے،
اللہ نےاُمّیّوں/ماں والوں اورمومنوں میں رسول مبعوث/مقررکیا
اوراس سےپہلےوہ مومن واضح گمراہی میں تھے،
ہمیں یہ بات واضح ہوئی کہ جب تک آیات کویاد نہیں کریں گےاورآیات کو
اپنی نفسیات کاحصّہ عمل کرکےنہیں بنائیں گےتوواضح گمراہی میں ہی رہیں گے...

आयातों के संदर्भ में उम्मी शब्द को समझने के बाद यह स्पष्ट होता है कि इसका अर्थ “अशिक्षित” नहीं है, जैसा कि अक्सर गलत तरीके से हज़रत मोहम्मद (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि वसल्लम) के लिए माना जाता है। बल्कि, इसका अर्थ है “ममतामयी”।
उम्मुल क़ुरा का मतलब है “शहरों की माता” (मक्का), उम्मुल किताब का अर्थ है “किताब की माता” (शासन करने वाले आयात या तौरात), और उम्मी नबी का अर्थ है “ममतामयी पैग़ंबर” (ईसा मसीह, अलैहि सलाम)।
मरियम (अलैहि सलाम) उम्मुल क़ुरा (मक्का) में थीं, जब उन्होंने खजूर के पेड़ को हिलाया, और अल्लाह ने उनके लिए पानी उपलब्ध कराया। यही वह समय था जब “ममतामयी पैग़ंबर,” यानी ईसा मसीह, मरियम के बेटे का जन्म हुआ, जो पूरे कुरान में अपनी माता मरियम के नाम से जुड़े हुए हैं।
Torat is the mother of the Book and it contains the Governing Ayats which are Allah’s orders.
اس درس سے یہ وضاحت ہوئ کہ عربی کا لفظ ام جس کے معنی ہیں ماں کے اسی طرح ام الکتاب کے معنی کتاب کی ماں کے ہیں اور الکتاب میں احکامات والی آیات کتاب کی ماں ہیں جو کنٹرول کررہی ہیں آپ کی ذاتِ کو اور اگر ہم ان پر اگر عمل کریں گے تو وہ ہماری nourishment کریں گی اسی طرح ام القراء کے معنی ہیں شہروں کی ماں جو کہ مکہ ہے اور وہاں کے رہنے والے ام القری ہیں اور مکہ شہر authority ہے اور وہاں کے رہنے والے لوگ امی کہلاتے ہیں اس لیے امی نبی عیسیٰ علیہ السلام ہیں
Yeh ek aisi muashirat hai jo Bible ke aqaid par chalti hai, jismein yeh maana jata hai ke Jesus Allah ka beta hai, use zinda aasman par utha liya gaya aur uska janam Jerusalem mein December ke kisi waqt hua. Doosri taraf, Musalman jo Quran ki hidayat par hain, yeh maante hain ke Essa (pbuh) ka janam garmi ke mausam mein hua aur wo Mecca mein the. Mecca, shehron ki maa hai. Yahi wo jagah hai jahan Ummi Nabi, Essa ka janam hua.
سورہ 42 آیت 7: "ام القریٰ کے معنی شہرِ مکہ کے ہیں۔ سورہ 3 آیت 7: ام کے معنی ماں،
سورہ 5 آیت 116: امی کے معنی ماں والے ہیں۔"
ام القریٰ مکہ کو کہا گیا ہے۔ ام القریٰ کے رہنے والے امی کہلائیں گے۔ حضرت عیسیٰ علیہ السلام امی نبی ہیں، ماں والے مکہ کے رہائشی اور حضرت مریم کے بیٹے ہونے کی وجہ سے۔
ام الكتاب کے معنی "کتاب کی ماں" ہیں،
سورہ 3 آیت 7: اللہ کے کلام میں ام الكتاب وہ آیات ہیں جن میں اللہ کا حکم ہے، اللہ نے ام الكتاب کو تورات کا نام دیا، جو کہ اللہ کی واحد کتاب میں موجود ہے۔
تورات سے نظام قائم کیا اللہ نے، اسی طرح ام القریٰ یعنی مکہ میں قائم اللہ کا گھر اور اس کا نظام پوری کائنات کے لیے اتھارٹی ہے جس کو ہمیں بھی قائم کرنا اور اس نظام کو عمل میں لانا ہے۔
حضرت عیسیٰ علیہ السلام کی پیدائش کب اور کہاں ہوئی، حوالوں اور آیات سے واضح کر دی گئی ہے، جو کہ مکہ ہی ہے، جو کہ ثابت کرتا ہے کہ حضرت عیسیٰ علیہ السلام امی نبی ہیں۔
The Mother of The Book is similar to the relationship between a mother and child as it has qualities of protection, love, nourishment.
The Mother of The Book includes the mukamat ayats that are governing (do & donts) & is the Torah/law holding authority over the people.
Further the Mother of cities is Makkah holding authority & where Allah has revealed Al-Kitab. Being the centre of all and mother of cities it is warned to those close surrounding it.
In the Al-Quran there is a narration of events where Marium is near a date tree in pain during the birth of Essa. During it Essa PBUH mentions drink the water and eat the ripe dates being near Makkah. It is this relationship of Essa PBUH that is that the Ummi Nabi and Makkah the birthplace of Essa PBUH.

They believe that Essa (pbuh) was born in the summer season and in Mecca. Makkah is the mother of Sharon. Jehovah is the place where Essa (pbuh) was born.
A society which is lead by the Bible beliefs that Jesus is a son of God, was raised up alive in heavens and was born in Jerusalem sometime in December. On the other hand, the Muslims who are guided by the Quran, belief Essa pbuh was born in summers and was in Mecca. Mecca the mother of the cities. This is where the Ummi Nabi ,Essa was born.
Quran ki ayaat se wazeh hwa ke Umm ul Qura / bustiyon ki maa yani tamam shehron ki maa Mecca hai
aur hazrat Eesa alaihi salam Ummi Nabi hain .
Mother of all the cities is Makkah and its reindents are called ummi
ایک ماں کا اپنے بچے کے ساتھ بہت گہرا رشتہ ہوتا ہے اور وہ بچے کے جذبات اور عقل پر بڑی گرفت رکھتی ہے۔
وہ بچے کی حفاظت بھی کرتی ہے اور اس کی ضروریات کا خیال رکھتی ہے۔
The Mother of all cities is Mecca. The people of Mecca are called Ummi. Prophet Essa pbuh is Ummi prophet. The mother of Alkitab is Torah the law.
ام کے معنی ماں ہے نہ کہ ان پڑھ
لفظ 'امّی' جس کا مطلب 'ماں' ہے،
عیسیٰ علیہ السلام جنہیں قرآن میں اپنی والدہ
مریم علیہ السلام کے نام کے ساتھ
'مسیح عیسیٰ ابن مریم' پکارا گیا ہے
اور مکہ بستیوں کی ماں یعنی
ام القراء اور وہیں اللہ کا رسول مقرر ہوگا.
Governing verses of the book are the mother of the book and Makkah is the mother city and Issa / Jesus pbuh is the motherly prophet.
واضع ھوا ام القری اور ام الکتاب ۔امی النبی کے بارے میں اور امی اسے کہتے ھیں جو مکہ کے رھنے والے ھیں مکہ شہر تمام شہروں کی ماں ھے اور ماں کا اپنے بچوں کےساتھ عقلی اور جذباتی تعلق ھوتا ھے اور ماں اپنے بچوں پر اتھارٹی رکھتی اسیطرح ام القری تمام شہروں پر اتھارٹی ھے اور ام النبی عیسی علیہ سلام ھیں ماں والے نبی اور انکی پیڈایش مکہ میں ھوی
واض کئے گئے بیان سے وضاحت ھوی محکمات آیت کتاب کی ماں ھے
اور ام القری شہروں کی ماں مکہ ھے
