A couple of times he will cash my check and send to his siblings in Nigeria who are planning for their wedding. He had a lot of credit cards he used before we got married. I agreed to work so we can progress in life but I can't buy anything for my self. I remember one day he told me I was smelling when he wouldn't buy me a deodorant. This is a tip of the iceberg. Look it can go either way it is not only the men who suffer, the women are been maltreated most of the time. If there's love in a marriage their won't be a conflict that will break up a marriage.

I have lived, both in uk and USA. A woman doesn't even have to contribute to a house (married couple that is) but let's say she stays home and caters to the kids full-time and the man works...she will surely get part of the proceeds if the house is sold as it is in many divorce cases. Even if she contributed design ideas, dedicated her time to supervising the work while the house was built- then she contributed to the house and will be entitled to proceeds. If a child/children are involved and that's their primary residence then most likely in places like the US she will probably get the house. In the US especially in MN state, a battered wife can get a direct green card granted to her with a free attorney that the state pays for you free of charge.... if she had a domestic violence evidence eg receipts like calling 911 for husband, safety protective orders and may be pictures of bruises, black eye etc that were reported to police. That's guy even if she erased everything and stopped the green card process...if the wife is aware of those kinda green cards..she can apply for it and she will be granted. The green card is under Violence Against Women Act "VAWA" it is called Green Card for Abused Spouse, children or Parents.

From my experience what I noticed is that when you bring your girl down here, at first everything is well but the moment they started going to work , meet friends that is when issues start popping up.the lady will start coming up with attitude, dull mood , anger on small issues and everything completely take a u turn. A woman doesn't even have to contribute to a house (married couple that is) but let's say she stays home and caters to the kids full-time and the man works...she will surely get part of the proceeds if the house is sold as it is in many divorce cases. Even if she contributed design ideas, dedicated her time to supervising the work while the house was built- then she contributed to the house and will be entitled to proceeds. If a child/children are involved and that's their primary residence then most likely in places like the US she will probably get the house. In the US especially in MN state, a battered wife can get a direct green card granted to her with a free attorney that the state pays for you free of charge.... if she had a domestic violence evidence eg receipts like calling 911 for husband, safety protective orders and may be pictures of bruises, black eye etc that were reported to police.
That's guy even if she erased everything and stopped the green card process...if the wife is aware of those kinda green cards..she can apply for it and she will be granted. The green card is under Violence Against Women Act "VAWA" it is called Green Card for Abused Spouse, children or Parents.
