Finally a female character I can love! ❤ I love her pride and her courage. 💕 And that she didn't compromise on her self-worth and her value as a human being, she maintained her self-respect throughout the entire movie/story. I love the fact that she fought for herself so relentlessly. :) The scene where she torches the granary of her parents is so powerful. I'd probably never dared to do such a thing because I would have prioritized my family's survival over my own survival, but she was absolutely right to do it because it was the very thing that made her parents so dependent on and fearful of a powerful guy, it made her parents meek and compliant. She did the right thing when she burnt down the thing that made her parents complicit in her oppression, her autonomy is not less important than her family's survival. By doing that she also empowered her parents to be less fearful of a powerful man who was humiliating and extorting them to gain power over their daughter. This female character is a true role model for other girls and women. (And it's all the more appalling how viewers in the comments make this movie about "love" even *after* she was raped by the man they claim loved her. How do love and force/coercion go together? It's the year 2023 - and people still confuse domination with love? What's wrong with society?!?)

Although Romanian and Italian are sister languages and mostly we can understand the wonderful Italian actors and actresses with no difficulty, your hard work made watching these film more enjoyable. In Romania we don't double films, we subtitle them. And more than 96% of my compatriots prefer that. Same in Denmark. When I grew up we could watch German television, but watching westerns where John Wayne would ride on horseback and speak German..... :) No thanks. But the Germans I know would always ask why we don't double, not getting that we prefer subtitles, prefer the real voices and therefore learn foreign languages must faster than they... She loved him, she knew that he loved her too. He could not show his love to her because of his pride and because he had not felt love when young. He wanted her so much, that he did what he did so she could be with her. She could not agree with that, she wanted geniuin love from him, to treat her like she deserved. She felt humiliated, and hurt very much. At the end, he was Ok to go to jail, as he regreted what he did. She was sorry also, they both loved each other in their own ways...Beautiful film...

Hasta que la justicia llegó del sufrimiento de una adolescente que le robaron los sueños del amor y la ilusión de la vida. Hasta que la justicia llegó del sufrimiento de una adolescente que le robaron los sueños del amor y la ilusión de la vida. Ella misma impuso sus castigos a cada uno, desde el principal y los cómplices; incluyendo a los padres, en una sociedad donde los pobres no cuentan.
