I can't believe im just learning about purple primer now at 20. I've struggled with a dull yellow appearance for so long. could you please tell us which brand of the purple primer you are using? Or anyone in the comments if you know any good brands can you please let me know?
If you’re still interested I might be able to help, but it depends on your budget (and skin type). Anyway long reply incoming. Well first if you can afford it I would highly recommend *MUFE (Make Up For Ever) Step 1 Primer in Yellowness Neutralizer* ($40). It’s a great primer overall, hydrating but not oily, and does a great job in evening out the skin tone. I think there’s also *erborian CC Dull Correct* (SPF25, $45 and $24 for travel size), which is not a primer but their creams are always pretty good, although it may not be color correcting enough since it’s a CC cream. I would also add *Revolution PRO Neutralizing Primer* ($7) which is very, very purple and doesn’t offer anything else than color correcting properties. Also in addition to purple primer, you may know that there’s purple color correctors; *LA Girl Pro Conceal Concealer in Lavender* should be the cheapest option ($8-10) and is pretty nice, plus you can mix it with a primer you already have if you don’t find a primer you’re interested in, and the result would still be pretty cheap in the end. If you’d rather get something with more coverage, I’d recommend any purple pot concealer-both MAC and NYX have a concealer palette with a purple shade. Finally, to set your makeup, there’s also purple loose powder that might be convenient. *MUFE’s Ultra HD Setting Powder in Pale Lavender* ($40 or $20 for travel size) is a really great, very fine, correcting and brightening powder (I promise I’m not sponsored lol I just really like some of their base products). Also, MAC, Tarte Cosmetics, and Fenty Beauty sell lavender loose powders, but I’ve heard that the Fenty Beauty one is not the most powerful at color correcting/brightening but if you like the powder and do not want that much correcting, it might suit your needs… otherwise if you have the means there’s also the *Givenchy Prisme Loose Powder in nº1 Mousseline Pastel* ($65) that’s REALLY nice (better be for that price lol). As a cheaper version there was a Makeup Revolution setting powder that I can’t find it anymore, but tbh SHEIN’s *SHEGLAM Insta Ready Setting Powder Duo in Taro* ($7) should be a great or even better alternative. And finally, I’d be remiss not to bring up some other very cheap and really good options BUT they are Chinese, Korean and Japanese brands, so depending on where you live it might be +/- easy to get your hands on them. If you’re in the US you’re golden; otherwise yesstyle is your best option as they ship pretty much everywhere. There may be other better shops depending on your country ofc (especially if you’re in Southeast Asia or Australia). - for primers: 1) *Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel in C03 Pure Purple* ($10), which also doubles as very high sun protection (SPF50 PA++++). Honestly I use this one in Clear and ugh it’s so perfect you don’t feel a thing it’s so soft but not drying and I cannot recommend it enough. 2) *ZEESEA Multi Effect Repair Primer in A01 Purple* ($10) which might be what she uses. Between lavender and blue so it’ll really brighten up your skin tone. 3) *THE FACE SHOP Air Cotton Make Up Base in 02 Lavender* ($4), this one too is pretty soft and all. Super cheap too. I really like the green version! - for pot concealer: *The Saem Cover Perfection Triple Pot Concealer* ($8), good coverage. - for powder: *Canmake Silky Loose Moist Powder in Sheer Lavender* ($10-12), also with slight SPF protection (SPF24 iirc).
