Futurama is the most consistently good animated show ever. It never fell off like Family Guy or the Simpsons. It deserves a front to back watch, it has so many laughs to offer and a lot of heart as well.
Fry was a native to the 20th century who was cryogenically frozen seconds into the year 2000, having fallen in just as 1999 ended. He was revived in 2999 and subsequently became a Delivery boy for the Planet Express Company.
The writing staff of this show were considered the smartest group of writers. Combined they had 3 Ph.D.s, 7 masters in math, science and engineering along with others. A lot of the scientific and math things they talk about in the show are legit. This is pretty much my favorite animated show. Every character is fantastic.
That video left out my favourite moment from the apartment scenes. They end up in a nice apartment and Fry asks “What’s the catch?” And the realtor says “No catch, although we are technically in New Jersey.” And it cuts to them back at the office.
You missed the joke where the Moon tries to take the bottle from Bender. Then Bender sticks the bottle in the Moon's eye making the Moon look like the Moon in the old silent movie based on Jules Verne's novel From The Earth to The Moon.
Fry was right that show was called the honeymooners or something and the straight to the moon line is him saying he'd beat her so hard she'd go straight to the moon
The show ran from 1999 to 2003 on Fox, 2008 to 2013 on Comedy Central, and is now back as of July 2023 on Hulu. So, yeah, it has been passed around a bit. 😄
A suggestion or three, probably they have already been suggested but here goes; Red Dwarf, Blackadder and Fawlty Towers. All three are classic British Comedy from the 70s - mid 2000.
You can tell from my profile pic that I am a fan. What you don’t realize, because you haven’t gotten to it yet, is the intelligence. All science is backed by what is knowledge (at that time), two written languages were created for the show and is very “detailed”, of which you will find out if you keep exploring. Some of my favorites were the emotional episodes, of which you will discover as well… Fry’s dog, episode “Jurassic Bark”, is one

For me the series ended at The Devil's hands are idle playthings.
For me the series ended at this stupid comment. @@mikeharry1799

The 3 eyed fish was a Simpsons refrence.

Family guy came out in jan of 1999 and futurama cam out in march of 1999. Futuruma was created by the creator of the simpsons.
