If you somehow hit him first with a clean barrage on him at the start of the match, he will just follow you and not attack at all, because the barrage ability, BREAKS THE A.I of bringus.
Fun Fact: You can do continuous combo with freedom/smash. Bringus will often lower his block when his shield is low. But if you use smash and freedom, you can m2 after barely passing half of his shield by m1's. The stun will help you recover stamina, and the shield regen for bringus is also lowered which makes the combo much more stamina efficient once you continue, leading to two m2's. This combo can keep happening until he gets down (I'd know, this is how I beat him for once, and kept beating him again lol)
Here's a one more strat. Feint him then m1 till you can m2 to break his block. Then just wait like 2 seconds then just m1 till you can m2 again. Repeat then you should be fine.

Anyone who's still having trouble. Use styles like smash or freedom's smash. The boss is not a player do it cannot see your m2 while you're doing m1 combo. Normally when you m1 combo him,he would not block when his block is low. Using smash m2 at the end of your m1 combo would make him block broken. Even if you run out of stamina,block break stun is longer. So if you time it right,you can inf combo him just by landing one m1 combo.
Funny bug: When using slugger while a bit more distanced from bringus feint your m2 (dont hold), then the funny part. After that he basically just backs away from you, no matter how long you stand there hes always in the ropes waiting for you to approach. Makes it easier for you to predict when he is about to m1.
It is highly advisable to add in m2’s into your m1 chains. The ai cannot pd an immediate m2 after an m1 chain. Only do this when your barrage is on cooldown or you’re aiming for block breaks
even better way is to use smash style when u can inf blockbreak so u get the block bar to half or below and use m2 and wait a second and then 3 m1s into another m2 and js inf block break. 3m1 trick dont work for father bringus u have to look at the blockbar but u can still inf block break him still works.
I’ve said this multiple times lol, idk if this works anymore cause of the Buff… but how I beat “the father” was I caught him in an m1 string (using smash btw) and just hit him until his shield was below half, then I through a heavy attack too break his sheild. If you time it right and wait for your stamina meter too full as his stunned during the block break, you should be able too infinite combo cheese him with smash repeating the string and heavy method. Dunno if it’ll work now but that’s what I did when it released.
a aggressive tactic that i used was to simply use smash cuz iron fist has worse block than standard and smash m2s simply crush blocks, so i simply block break him at the end of every m1 chains, and the endlag allows me to start a new m1 chain the moment bingus recover from the block break yes, this require patience, but doesn't require you to learn how to perfect dodge and only rely on feints
Guys i found bringus’s kryptonite Bringus can never block break you with m1’s he will use an m2 to block break if your block is very low expect an incoming m2 (be careful for a feint tho) and if you are in a middle of a barrage with a very low block consider it as a free perfect dash this is why slugger is great for this since he has bad block but great m2 (he cant perfect dodge it).”remember be aggressive not passive because he wants you to be passive”.
@@kossxj if you play passive your block will regen and he will make you suffer using his m1.i try to keep my block health low as to expect an m2 and i do not fear getting my block destroyed by an m1 because with a low block health =greater chance of him using an m2 to break your block but i use it as an opportunity to get a free pd

I recommend using Smash, lower the defense 2 points below the middle of the shield, use m1 to weaken the defense and when it is a little below half use m2, wait for its stamina to reset a little and go back to use the same thing, if you run out of stamina, it doesn't matter, use m1 quickly and finish it with m2, if it escapes they wait for it to fall back into the m1 and finish it again with m2; If they break his defense and see that he is approaching the ropes, surround him calmly since he will be stunned by the m2, so you finish him off again with m1 and m2 and break his defense infinitely, the only thing is to be aware of the perfect dodge , then throw a m2 at him, and finish with m1 quickly and break the defense again with m2, and so on infinitely.
Use slugger, and do the m2-m1 fakeout thing they added. It will force him into the corner(as long as you dont hit him. Also only able to do this with slugger) and he won't attack until you get close enough. This works 100% of the time, all stages. If you do if right(isn't that hard) you get the first hit in before he attacks you while he's stuck in the corner. Good luck!
Hawk is better imo but it’s a legendary so. Reason is because swayback. If he feints just block and then sway back one of his heavies and m1 10 times to get his block low. Then swayback again and m1 until block is low enough (3-4 m1s from breaking since m2 breaks at that range with Hawk ecstasy) then m2 to break block. Wait a bit for stamina then m1 6 times and m2 to break block. It’s loopable; I took down half of his health then ulted.
Just recorded a fight of me with the boss today and it somehow glitches and it won’t attack me at all just walking so it’s a free win , I still have the footage. I guess luck beats skill
Also Smash is one of the best styles to use against Bringus in my opinion. Smash can easily break blocks with 4 m1's and 1 m2, but you already know the A.I is just gonna perfect dodge. To fix that you first gotta do 2 or 3 m1's, then do a feint attack but just like the video said while Father Bringus is walking towards you do a feint. I hope this helps everyone, and also nice vid
I was gonna make a video on this cause I figured it out with kimura’s late feints but ig this works. Side note: you can do the late feint tech whilst moving towards him. His ai checks for if you’re approaching and if you’re throwing a punch and has a set timer before he actually punches first so you can get the hang of it. Just make sure to actually feint late instead of throwing an m2 accidentally.
1:29 bro as a shotgun main shotgun isnt the worst,i'll tell its one of the best mythic style. His barrage doing more damage that m2 slugger(if you land fully barrage). Also he easily counter styles with bad block such as slugger,hawk,chronos and freedom. Just make their block low hp it also easy to do because his m1 is fast and for some reason(or i wrong) his range same as long guard. The only downside of shotgun is his m2 which always comes from left hand.
The only thing I did in fighting Bringus is dodge all his light attacks. You just need to know his attack patterns so you can perfect dodge and another thing is bait him for throwing a light attack on you by getting close to him and dash back immediately. If you did that he will throw a light attack on you and you need to dodge the next attack once you get closer to him again and throw a heavy attack on him. For example: if you get close to him, he will throw a left attack (it can be right too) and in the next attack you just need to time your dodge on the right (or left if he punch in the left) so you can perfect dodge. His attack pattern is Left, Right, Left, Right if the light attacks is not doing a combo. I recommended Freedom(Smash only) style for this because of the fast dashes and low consumption energy. You just need to have patience. 1 heavy attack per perfect dodge is enough and you need to wait for the cooldown of your perfect dodge again and sometimes he can be really annoying like he will randomly do a heavy attack on you.
I just beat bringus 3 minutes ago and I can say that the best way to do it is with smash First you gotta walk up to him and then dash after u touch him because the ai would of thrown a punch which leads to either a dodge or a perfect dodge. Then start your m1 chain and he'll just be blocking it and wait till his shield is under halfway then m2. This will always cause a shield break and you wait 1 second for your stamina to go up a little then you m2 again for a free hit then immediately backdash. Walk up to him again andds dodge when u touch him and repeat the process, you should get a rhythm of when he's gonna m1 and you can dodge. I always saved my ult for the last round but you can pop it whenever. (Ps, I did this all on mobile and it's pretty consistent. The only inconsistent thing is if he straight up m2's you instead of m1ing because it's much harder dodging a point blank m2 unless your ping is low. But that should be the only problem you face)
If you have iron fist you can stunlock father bringus. Wait until your stamina is full and lower his block enough to break it in a m2. As soon as you both recover your stamina he can’t dodge for a good 2 seconds so just rinse and repeat. If you have stamina by the end of the block break wait until a certain time to repeat the cycle because bringus block will be low. And in his third stage where he rips his hurt off just use ultimate when he is under 70% ult and you can instant kill him

Honestly i think turtle is underrated style to use against bringus 1. Since turtle has good block, you can tank his punches and be comfortable pding him since you won’t get pressured as much with your good block 2. turtle’s m1 deal very good damage. u can wait to pd him and just keep m1 him instead of m2 (only exception to use m2 is if you ulted him and he still has hp to heal or you m1 him enough so he has decent hp to heal) then you can wait to pd him and punish him with an m2. As long you’re patient and can reliably pd his punches, I believe turtle is a very suitable style to use against him.
Another way to fight Bringus easily is a bit cheesy, but it works. Use smash, land an m1 at high stam, keep doing m1s until he's under 50% guard, then heavy. Wait until your stam fills up almost completely then repeat. Don't worry if he moves a bit, he's not able to dodge until after like half a second. The moment you see him move from the position his guard was broken, do the m1 into heavy thing I mentioned.
Beat him using corkscrew after an hour today. The bosses are quite vulnerable to feints, and I only found out about that because I STRUGGLED with Bringus, getting better each time I lost.
I found a ez way to beat bringus i swear All u need is a slugger Just do m2 feint really fast and he will back away(but dont use m2 again,it will make him reset to battle state,only m1 till he get knoked out)
A thing I've noticed about Bringus is that he almost always attempts to land a block breaking blow with an m2. How does this come into play, you ask? We exploit it by tanking his m1 barrage, then easily perfect dodge Iron Fist's m2. You could ult, you could m2, and maybe an m1. Why an m1? Hammer's Body Blow goes through block, and is nearly inescapable for most cases involving Bringus, although he can still somehow perfect dodge it at times. When you initiate an m1 barrage, even if it hits block, that damage still adds up a sizeable amount in his health bar, and with Body Blow counting as an m2, the chances for him to heal that damage back is none.
Just use smash and if you catch him keep m1 until his guard is right below half and then m2 which breaks his guard and gives you just enough time to recover 70-75% of your stamina and do it again until he's down. Works on all modes of him
Additional strat. If you gonna block and your block is in ultimate landing range. Bringus gonna consistently throw an m2, which you can perfect dodge for free m2 hits, I did recieve some people saying that bringus will faint. But he usually faints only if your block can take an m2 from him.
slugger is also one of the best style and almost the fastesr to win. basically every m2 thrown after m1 combos would end in counters if u hold it long enough(don't hold it too long or u get countered instead)
you can trap him in an infinite combo by using smash, getting him in an m1 combo until his block is below halfway then use a heavy attack. rinse and repeat until he's dead
I've beaten bringus with freedom, smash and hammer. You want to feint to catch bringus, bring his block to guardbreak lvl and use m2 (or just R if you're using hammer and it's available). After guardbreaking him, you'll usually be stamina broken, but don't worry. M1 him and break his block again (it has a lower guard hp now) and m2 him. Rinse and repeat
If this strat is too hard for you, maybe use styles with strong m2s to keep bringus in a block breaking loop. I recommend using smash or bullet but I used bullet myself to beat him.M1 about 8 to 10 times with bullet(if the boss has a full block bar) and then use m2(i recommend 8 m1s before using m2)you will be out of stamina but he cant dodge an m1 after being blocked broken so he resorts to blocking.Then hit 6-7 m1s and then m2 to block break him.keep doing this over and over again until you beat him
You can also use the infinite block break method (just repeatedly break his block with high damaging styles smash freedom smash mode slugger and iron fist) it takes longer but I think it’s the safest method
I made up a strat on how to beat him last night but it's kinda similar to your strat. The style best suited for my strat is ghost because of the good range it has. Usually what i do is that when I'm in his face I feint late so that I can catch him in a m1 chain. When he's about low on block I m2 him so when he gets guard break I can m2 him again, giving me free dmg. So yeah I just repeat this strat the whole fight. Sometimes tho when he has you in a m1 chain (I think when you use ghost because of the weak block) he'll m2 last. It's pretty easy to predict and you can just pd it landing a clean m2. Hope this helps my fellow ghost mains
A strategy I also discovered is by using hawk and this is how i won to this boss, the strategy is just block and swayback, when hes still attacking you dont backdash, just wait for his m2 and perfect dodge it. Thats all you need to do.
What I found is that using smash style you can m1 until his defense is low then m2 and both you and him have a stun, you're m1 will always be faster so you can just keep doing it.
a really good tip to beat bringus is that he always tries to break your block with an m2 when its low so if you can consistently perfect dodge him its a guranteed win
Use smash. Feint to start an m1 chain and the pattern here. M1 until his block is about 1/3 from being broken, and m2 then. M2 too soon and his block wont be broken, and youll have to start the pattern again and probably take some damage. M2 too late and the AI will drop guard and dodge. Recover stamina while the AI recovers from block break stun, and there is an extra second after that where the AI will not dash or attack, leaving him open. Repeat this process. -from a video i watched just a couple hours ago, i beat Bringus easily with it.
I recommend Hammer style due to its m1s and ability being able to chain into one another if done correctly along with the fact the ult does 55-80% of the boss' hp.
I actually didn't fight him before he got buffed, I came back to the game after he did get buffed not realizing and soloed him with Hawk thanks to the overpowered bar ability
Summary: Perfect Dodge, combo until shield is low, m2 to shield break, land another combo after your energy regens, dodge backwards (he'll predict it if you do it a 2nd time) and Perfect Dodge another direction. (If you do a side pdodge, he'll remember your last pdodge and then do a feint to counter it, so pdodge backwards to avoid the feint punch. This may not work with other styles but Hawk's backdash is enough to move away from feint range most times, and Hawk's range can hit him after the backdash)
A thing I found out is that the ai has some trouble with sluggers m2s, if you do a charged m2 after an m1 combo you will always hit a counter and if you throw a not charged m2 you will hit most of the time and sometimes even get a counter Also if you ult him in an m1 combo you will hit it like 90% of the time and if you throw an m1 after it that hits most of the time (this was tested with slugger so I'm sure styles with fast m1s hit pretty much always)
@JwordzYT dude this video is not needed because there is STILL a way to cheese bringus. if you use slugger and feint, bringus will walk to your left and WILL NOT attack you until you do. this gives you a free m1 chain and a charged m2. then just dash back, feint, and repeat the process.
I'm going to share my experience: using a feint at the last second will always be successful, just get the moment right. This way you will be able to throw m1 and m2 every time. He doesn't dodge all m2, if you can throw a quick m2 in a row, he won't dodge (maybe sometimes if you're not fast) This is a 100% working tip, across my various accounts I've had a total of 50 wins against him (without losing a single time) Edit: every time I won it was without any difficulty, most of them 3-1 and sometimes 3-0 (3-1 because he threw the ult in my first life). The best style to fight against him is Smash in my opinion, because you break his shield and cause immense damage with your m2.
I found that hammer made it easiest for me because of how the ability let's you hit the opponent while they are blocking and it just felt like a good style to use.
There is also another way to cheese Father Bringus and all you need is turtle for its block All you have to do is spam m1s and if father bringus block is breakable with 1 m2 he will get stunned wait for a sec to refill your energy while hes stunned and then m1 again and repeat the process. If you ran out of stamina and stunned aswell spam m1 then just do it again untill hes defeated Hope this helps while it's still not fixed
but for aome reason,smash style is the easiest way to defeat bringus,you just need to hit him with m1 until his block is in 40% then heavy punch,and then after you break it wait until your stamina regain into 80 to 90% then repeat the process
There was another cheese that i dont know if they patched, but when you feinted from a distance with slugger bringus would back dash giving you a free pd and being able to m2
Ez trick right here: Use smash and when you can get the chance to hit him (p-d or just got a lucky hit) spam m1's until his shield reaches under 45% and just m2 which breaks his shield giving you time to regain stamina and just loop it
One important info to note when fighting bringus!! . . 1. He does not have a backswing delay or foreswing delay. (Whatever it is called) Do not try to combo him after normal dodging his first m1 because you will get combo'ed instead and possibly countered leading to half your health, gone. Instead, perfect dodge it and become the God of Dodge
You can cheese father bringus by infinity block breaking with smash, it dosnt matter if you run out of stamina just keep hitting him bc he won’t hit you after the smash m2 that breaks his block 😊

Even if you run out of stamina,block break stun is longer. So if you time it right,you can inf combo him just by landing one m1 combo.

Funny bug: When using slugger while a bit more distanced from bringus feint your m2 (dont hold), then the funny part. After that he basically just backs away from you, no matter how long you stand there hes always in the ropes waiting for you to approach. Makes it easier for you to predict when he is about to m1.
I just dodge and use m1s with slugger then when he blocks I just hold m2. He almost killed me but I saved my ult
It is highly advisable to add in m2’s into your m1 chains. The ai cannot pd an immediate m2 after an m1 chain. Only do this when your barrage is on cooldown or you’re aiming for block breaks
I noticed that if you have shotgun style, and manage to hit him first with Barrage he stops fighting back.

even better way is to use smash style when u can inf blockbreak so u get the block bar to half or below and use m2 and wait a second and then 3 m1s into another m2 and js inf block break. 3m1 trick dont work for father bringus u have to look at the blockbar but u can still inf block break him still works.
I’ve said this multiple times lol, idk if this works anymore cause of the Buff… but how I beat “the father” was I caught him in an m1 string (using smash btw) and just hit him until his shield was below half, then I through a heavy attack too break his sheild. If you time it right and wait for your stamina meter too full as his stunned during the block break, you should be able too infinite combo cheese him with smash repeating the string and heavy method. Dunno if it’ll work now but that’s what I did when it released.
PS. It’s hard too do as well but just adapt lol

a aggressive tactic that i used was to simply use smash cuz iron fist has worse block than standard and smash m2s simply crush blocks, so i simply block break him at the end of every m1 chains, and the endlag allows me to start a new m1 chain the moment bingus recover from the block break
yes, this require patience, but doesn't require you to learn how to perfect dodge and only rely on feints

Bringus can never block break you with m1’s he will use an m2 to block break if your block is very low expect an incoming m2 (be careful for a feint tho) and if you are in a middle of a barrage with a very low block consider it as a free perfect dash this is why slugger is great for this since he has bad block but great m2 (he cant perfect dodge it).”remember be aggressive not passive because he wants you to be passive”.

IT TOOK SO LONG BUT I FINALLY DID IT WITH SLUGGER
Use slugger, and do the m2-m1 fakeout thing they added. It will force him into the corner(as long as you dont hit him. Also only able to do this with slugger) and he won't attack until you get close enough. This works 100% of the time, all stages. If you do if right(isn't that hard) you get the first hit in before he attacks you while he's stuck in the corner. Good luck!
I did it with ghost, and I just countered his m1s and m2s with my m1s and my ability.
Hawk is better imo but it’s a legendary so. Reason is because swayback. If he feints just block and then sway back one of his heavies and m1 10 times to get his block low. Then swayback again and m1 until block is low enough (3-4 m1s from breaking since m2 breaks at that range with Hawk ecstasy) then m2 to break block. Wait a bit for stamina then m1 6 times and m2 to break block. It’s loopable; I took down half of his health then ulted.
Just recorded a fight of me with the boss today and it somehow glitches and it won’t attack me at all just walking so it’s a free win , I still have the footage. I guess luck beats skill
Also Smash is one of the best styles to use against Bringus in my opinion.
Smash can easily break blocks with 4 m1's and 1 m2, but you already know
the A.I is just gonna perfect dodge.
To fix that you first gotta do 2 or 3 m1's, then do a feint attack but just like the video said while Father Bringus is walking towards you do a feint.

I was gonna make a video on this cause I figured it out with kimura’s late feints but ig this works.
Side note: you can do the late feint tech whilst moving towards him. His ai checks for if you’re approaching and if you’re throwing a punch and has a set timer before he actually punches first so you can get the hang of it. Just make sure to actually feint late instead of throwing an m2 accidentally.
1:29 bro as a shotgun main shotgun isnt the worst,i'll tell its one of the best mythic style. His barrage doing more damage that m2 slugger(if you land fully barrage).
Also he easily counter styles with bad block such as slugger,hawk,chronos and freedom. Just make their block low hp it also easy to do because his m1 is fast and for some reason(or i wrong) his range same as long guard. The only downside of shotgun is his m2 which always comes from left hand.

The only thing I did in fighting Bringus is dodge all his light attacks. You just need to know his attack patterns so you can perfect dodge and another thing is bait him for throwing a light attack on you by getting close to him and dash back immediately. If you did that he will throw a light attack on you and you need to dodge the next attack once you get closer to him again and throw a heavy attack on him. For example: if you get close to him, he will throw a left attack (it can be right too) and in the next attack you just need to time your dodge on the right (or left if he punch in the left) so you can perfect dodge. His attack pattern is Left, Right, Left, Right if the light attacks is not doing a combo. I recommended Freedom(Smash only) style for this because of the fast dashes and low consumption energy. You just need to have patience. 1 heavy attack per perfect dodge is enough and you need to wait for the cooldown of your perfect dodge again and sometimes he can be really annoying like he will randomly do a heavy attack on you.

I just beat bringus 3 minutes ago and I can say that the best way to do it is with smash
First you gotta walk up to him and then dash after u touch him because the ai would of thrown a punch which leads to either a dodge or a perfect dodge. Then start your m1 chain and he'll just be blocking it and wait till his shield is under halfway then m2. This will always cause a shield break and you wait 1 second for your stamina to go up a little then you m2 again for a free hit then immediately backdash. Walk up to him again andds dodge when u touch him and repeat the process, you should get a rhythm of when he's gonna m1 and you can dodge. I always saved my ult for the last round but you can pop it whenever. (Ps, I did this all on mobile and it's pretty consistent. The only inconsistent thing is if he straight up m2's you instead of m1ing because it's much harder dodging a point blank m2 unless your ping is low. But that should be the only problem you face)
One more tip, whenever your block is low, he always tries to break it with an m2. His m2s are easy to punish because they’re so telegraphed. Good luck

If you have iron fist you can stunlock father bringus. Wait until your stamina is full and lower his block enough to break it in a m2. As soon as you both recover your stamina he can’t dodge for a good 2 seconds so just rinse and repeat. If you have stamina by the end of the block break wait until a certain time to repeat the cycle because bringus block will be low. And in his third stage where he rips his hurt off just use ultimate when he is under 70% ult and you can instant kill him

Honestly i think turtle is underrated style to use against bringus
1. Since turtle has good block, you can tank his punches and be comfortable pding him since you won’t get pressured as much with your good block
2. turtle’s m1 deal very good damage. u can wait to pd him and just keep m1 him instead of m2 (only exception to use m2 is if you ulted him and he still has hp to heal or you m1 him enough so he has decent hp to heal) then you can wait to pd him and punish him with an m2.
As long you’re patient and can reliably pd his punches, I believe turtle is a very suitable style to use against him.
Another way to fight Bringus easily is a bit cheesy, but it works. Use smash, land an m1 at high stam, keep doing m1s until he's under 50% guard, then heavy. Wait until your stam fills up almost completely then repeat. Don't worry if he moves a bit, he's not able to dodge until after like half a second. The moment you see him move from the position his guard was broken, do the m1 into heavy thing I mentioned.

A thing I've noticed about Bringus is that he almost always attempts to land a block breaking blow with an m2.
How does this come into play, you ask?
We exploit it by tanking his m1 barrage, then easily perfect dodge Iron Fist's m2.
You could ult, you could m2, and maybe an m1.
Why an m1?
Hammer's Body Blow goes through block, and is nearly inescapable for most cases involving Bringus, although he can still somehow perfect dodge it at times. When you initiate an m1 barrage, even if it hits block, that damage still adds up a sizeable amount in his health bar, and with Body Blow counting as an m2, the chances for him to heal that damage back is none.

Just use smash and if you catch him keep m1 until his guard is right below half and then m2 which breaks his guard and gives you just enough time to recover 70-75% of your stamina and do it again until he's down. Works on all modes of him
Additional strat. If you gonna block and your block is in ultimate landing range. Bringus gonna consistently throw an m2, which you can perfect dodge for free m2 hits, I did recieve some people saying that bringus will faint. But he usually faints only if your block can take an m2 from him.

You can actually put it in a loop when u use smash it's constant guard break after guard breaks until yeah he dies
slugger is also one of the best style and almost the fastesr to win. basically every m2 thrown after m1 combos would end in counters if u hold it long enough(don't hold it too long or u get countered instead)
you can trap him in an infinite combo by using smash, getting him in an m1 combo until his block is below halfway then use a heavy attack. rinse and repeat until he's dead
I've beaten bringus with freedom, smash and hammer. You want to feint to catch bringus, bring his block to guardbreak lvl and use m2 (or just R if you're using hammer and it's available). After guardbreaking him, you'll usually be stamina broken, but don't worry. M1 him and break his block again (it has a lower guard hp now) and m2 him. Rinse and repeat

If this strat is too hard for you, maybe use styles with strong m2s to keep bringus in a block breaking loop. I recommend using smash or bullet but I used bullet myself to beat him.M1 about 8 to 10 times with bullet(if the boss has a full block bar) and then use m2(i recommend 8 m1s before using m2)you will be out of stamina but he cant dodge an m1 after being blocked broken so he resorts to blocking.Then hit 6-7 m1s and then m2 to block break him.keep doing this over and over again until you beat him
You can also use the infinite block break method (just repeatedly break his block with high damaging styles smash freedom smash mode slugger and iron fist) it takes longer but I think it’s the safest method
one thing: Keep distance to bringus so if he missed an attack you are free to attack and like jwordz said you need to be “Patient”
I made up a strat on how to beat him last night but it's kinda similar to your strat. The style best suited for my strat is ghost because of the good range it has. Usually what i do is that when I'm in his face I feint late so that I can catch him in a m1 chain. When he's about low on block I m2 him so when he gets guard break I can m2 him again, giving me free dmg. So yeah I just repeat this strat the whole fight. Sometimes tho when he has you in a m1 chain (I think when you use ghost because of the weak block) he'll m2 last. It's pretty easy to predict and you can just pd it landing a clean m2. Hope this helps my fellow ghost mains
A strategy I also discovered is by using hawk and this is how i won to this boss, the strategy is just block and swayback, when hes still attacking you dont backdash, just wait for his m2 and perfect dodge it. Thats all you need to do.

What I found is that using smash style you can m1 until his defense is low then m2 and both you and him have a stun, you're m1 will always be faster so you can just keep doing it.
He always backdashes, so you can just feint late and keep m1'ing so if he backdashes you can catch him.

Bringus is hella unfair like none of this happened to me
a really good tip to beat bringus is that he always tries to break your block with an m2 when its low so if you can consistently perfect dodge him its a guranteed win
Use smash. Feint to start an m1 chain and the pattern here. M1 until his block is about 1/3 from being broken, and m2 then. M2 too soon and his block wont be broken, and youll have to start the pattern again and probably take some damage. M2 too late and the AI will drop guard and dodge. Recover stamina while the AI recovers from block break stun, and there is an extra second after that where the AI will not dash or attack, leaving him open. Repeat this process.
-from a video i watched just a couple hours ago, i beat Bringus easily with it.
I recommend Hammer style due to its m1s and ability being able to chain into one another if done correctly along with the fact the ult does 55-80% of the boss' hp.
I actually didn't fight him before he got buffed, I came back to the game after he did get buffed not realizing and soloed him with Hawk thanks to the overpowered bar ability
Summary: Perfect Dodge, combo until shield is low, m2 to shield break, land another combo after your energy regens, dodge backwards (he'll predict it if you do it a 2nd time) and Perfect Dodge another direction. (If you do a side pdodge, he'll remember your last pdodge and then do a feint to counter it, so pdodge backwards to avoid the feint punch. This may not work with other styles but Hawk's backdash is enough to move away from feint range most times, and Hawk's range can hit him after the backdash)
I wish it was more like a ACTUAL boss like quick scenes where you have to click a certain button. Like those decision making reaction scenes
A thing I found out is that the ai has some trouble with sluggers m2s, if you do a charged m2 after an m1 combo you will always hit a counter and if you throw a not charged m2 you will hit most of the time and sometimes even get a counter
Also if you ult him in an m1 combo you will hit it like 90% of the time and if you throw an m1 after it that hits most of the time (this was tested with slugger so I'm sure styles with fast m1s hit pretty much always)
@JwordzYT dude this video is not needed because there is STILL a way to cheese bringus. if you use slugger and feint, bringus will walk to your left and WILL NOT attack you until you do. this gives you a free m1 chain and a charged m2. then just dash back, feint, and repeat the process.

I'm going to share my experience: using a feint at the last second will always be successful, just get the moment right. This way you will be able to throw m1 and m2 every time. He doesn't dodge all m2, if you can throw a quick m2 in a row, he won't dodge (maybe sometimes if you're not fast)
This is a 100% working tip, across my various accounts I've had a total of 50 wins against him (without losing a single time)
Edit: every time I won it was without any difficulty, most of them 3-1 and sometimes 3-0 (3-1 because he threw the ult in my first life). The best style to fight against him is Smash in my opinion, because you break his shield and cause immense damage with your m2.
I found that hammer made it easiest for me because of how the ability let's you hit the opponent while they are blocking and it just felt like a good style to use.
And this makes it even better for the block/perfect dodge strat because you get your ability by blocking.
There is also another way to cheese Father Bringus and all you need is turtle for its block
All you have to do is spam m1s and if father bringus block is breakable with 1 m2 he will get stunned wait for a sec to refill your energy while hes stunned and then m1 again and repeat the process.
If you ran out of stamina and stunned aswell spam m1 then just do it again untill hes defeated

but for aome reason,smash style is the easiest way to defeat bringus,you just need to hit him with m1 until his block is in 40% then heavy punch,and then after you break it wait until your stamina regain into 80 to 90% then repeat the process

There was another cheese that i dont know if they patched, but when you feinted from a distance with slugger bringus would back dash giving you a free pd and being able to m2
you can also use hawk and hold block till he throws an m2 and you can perfect dodge it every single time so you can get an m1 string on him.
Even as a old man bringus is still a TANK
Ez trick right here: Use smash and when you can get the chance to hit him (p-d or just got a lucky hit) spam m1's until his shield reaches under 45% and just m2 which breaks his shield giving you time to regain stamina and just loop it
