Max Headroom - Car Parts

- Max is conflicted about plugging cars, but never about playing on words. The original source file for this titled it as "Season 3". Unfortunately there was no season 3 to the series, I imagine this was either an unused "Network 23" commercial, or to a yet to be identified episode that I apparently snoozed through.

They can absolutely bring Max Headroom back. The humor and comedic timing was ahead of its time!
They're in a reboot
yes agree!!
Even funnier when you remember how many ads Max Headroom did back in the day
Best clip of Max Headlamp
It's special, it's unique, it's differential.
This video contains more silly puns per minute than The Annoying Orange - yet still manages to be way funnier than AO will ever be.
AO was funnier back then, just not now.
AO!!!
Annoying Orange sucks because the creators of Annoying Orange use Synchro-Vox. Anyone who uses Synchro-Vox has really bad taste in SFX.
I really wish you could have been a kid when Max Headroom first came out. Think this is awesome now? This was 1000 times more awesome because it was so cutting edge and unique for the era. I was 11 when Max hit the television
I was a little bit younger even. Totally agree. It's only now that I've been rewatching this stuff that I realize how ahead of its time it was.
In 1987 I was 18 and I loved this "commercial."
this was a very good transition from youtube poops
This is the end of a Season 1 episode called "War"- its episode 5/6. I think it's one of Max's best bits.
Definitely. For the most part, Max is just annoying, but this is really funny - who would have thought that a skit that consists of nothing but silly car part puns could be so funny?
And if they don't like it, they can stick-stick-stick shift it in their exhaust pipe and choke-choke it! And smoke it!
I was rolling so hard, love Max "Headlamp"!
just replying to see if you're still on youtube 11 years later
It's a shame that Matt Frewer looks back so negatively on this role...kinda like how Robin Williams looked at his role of Popeye. These were great characters and performances.
I believe he doesn't
He doesn't he talks great things about Max
There were some downsides to that role...like the grueling hours of putting on that makeup and the contact lenses lacerating his corneas. He once got a piece of prosthetic makeup in one of his eyes and he temporarily needed an eyepatch. That must have hurt like hell.
Hi this is Max Headroom on Network 23, brought to you by…
No no no no no no no no, I’m sorry, I’m sorry - but if they think I’m endorsing car accessories they’ve got another dipstick coming,
No, no, they’ve tried this once before, and I’m radial tired of it
And if they expect me to change gear now, and start spark plugging their products
they must be out of their piston heads.
Listen, I don’t like to blow my own gasket, but I have better things to do here than wax polish lyrical about car parts.
I’ve got letters from fan-belts who say “Max, you’re special, you’re unique, and you’re differential”
Yes yes, I know it’s what they want, that’s because they are air-conditioned to it.
Oh I’ve fendered it off t time and timing belt again...
I mean who is calling the tune up?
Who is in cruise control here anyway?
I’ll tell you who, me, Max Headlamp!
If they don’t like it, they can stick-shift it in their exhaust pipe and choke it, and smoke it

Thanks. I needed that.
Over two dozen car puns in one go. Genius! 🧠
This appeared at the end of the season 1 episode "War."
C-c-catch the wave!
Somethings wrong, I cam feel it.
You spelled can wrong?
I still see the "X"!
You snoozed through the endclips?
I enjoyed watching them, as well as the series. It was a tough subject, post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, but no words can describe how well they pulled off this fantasy crime drama.
[Dead man's video on headstone] Wonderful, isn't it?
Ah, took the words out of my mouth, there.
Song used is Holiday Playtime.
Is it my imagination or did someone laugh when he said "I'll tell you who. Me! Me! Max Headlamp!"
My friend gave me a tape recording of this bit from his TV. I thought it was HIM laughing. I guess not, if you heard it too . . .
This is my fav episode xD
This joke was in the Max Headroom show from channel 4 1985 to
That was hilarious
GREAT!!!!
Max Headroom talk about car parts.
More fascinating than funny
You seem to have a slight de-interlacitng artifact going on.
As a 14 year old I memorized this...
Max headlamp
ive missed this so much >O< and i wasnt even born yet XD
See you again next year Max.
Our culture has become so anodyne, banal, and inoffensive. We have technology they couldn't have dreamt of when this show was in it's original run, and what do we do with it? Screech at each other about how offended and triggered and upset we are.
Welcome to the future, where everything is racist and sexist and offensive and bad for you. Enjoy your stay!
Ha Ha! Great stuff! Think the Conservative Party needs him badly, Boris seems to have lost the plot!
