Tlaxcala Mexico. BLESSED VIRGIN MARY OUR LADY OF OCOTLAN. Miraculous Image & Basilica.

This is a video of the miraculous image of Our Lady of Ocotlan, and her Basilica in Ocotlan, city of Tlaxcala, Mexico.
In 1541, Juan Diego Bernardino was going to draw water from a river believed at the time to have healing properties. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to him and led him to a miraculous spring of water.
She also told Juan Diego that an image of herself could be found within a tree. Juan Diego and the Franciscans misionaries discovered the image from a burnt oak tree near the well with miraculous water.
"Advise the religious, on my behalf, that on this site they will find an image of me representing my perfections. Through it I will distribute my mercies and clemencies. Once found, I desire that it be placed in the chapel of San Lorenzo."
Five Popes have affirmed the appearance of Our Lady of Ocotlan - Pope Clement X11 in 1735, Pope Benedict XIV in 1746, Pope Pius VI in 1799, Saint Pius X in 1906 and Pope Pius XII in 1941.
The face of the Virgin of Ocotlán has a reputation for changing color from red rose to pale and back again. In 1987 the Bishop of Tlaxcala, presiding at the procession of the statute, the face of the Virgin changed vividly from a pale to a rose color, and left everyone astonished. Father Loyzaga, the great historian of Ocotlán, saw this for himself and confirms that the Virgin perspires. Father Escobar reports seeing drops of perspiration and that sometimes the holy image of Mary weighs like lead and at other times it weighs as light as a feather.

The image of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Her basilica is located in Ocotlan, an area in Tlaxcala city in Mexico. Tlaxcala is 1 1/2 hours by bus from Mexico City. The bus line is ATAH Ejecutivo at the TAPO terminal in Mexico City. As of October 2010, from Mexico City to Tlaxcala, the bus fare is MXN $112; from the bus terminal to the Basilica, the fare is MXN $0.50.
ATAH buses run every 20 minutes from Mexico City to Tlaxcala from 5 AM to 9 PM daily. They also run from Tlaxcala to Mexico City daily.
There are also ATAH Ejecutivo buses running from Mexico City Benito Juarez International Airport to Tlaxcala and back.
Masses are held at the Basilica at 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 in the morning; and at 6 and 7 in the evening.
