Medic has to be one of the most stressful jobs in tf2.
everyone spamming medic, your uber being very important and all the enemies targeting you. i can see how that is stressful.

As a part-time medic main, this was scarily accurate, I kid you not I have a knee jerk reaction playing any other class and hearing “MEDIC” shouted by any of my teammates. It’s a mental disease I swear

As an almost full-time medic main, I can also confirm this. it doesn't help with the "Put Dispenser here" as Engineer, as I sometimes play Engineer as a secondary main.

As a medic main who has a strange solemn vow I do indeed use it to nerd out and make risky ass plays that almost get me killed and do not benefit my team whatsoever
It's worth it. I almost always run the Solemn Vow instead of the Ubersaw.

I use the Solemn Vow because I think the Uber saw is overpowered and promotes a stupid play style, aka:
"Medic mains chasing a f2p spy to gain 25% uber. (They immediately lose it because they're out of position)"
As someone who was a medic main when I first started playing TF2, I can say all of these applied to me at some point. Even now as a Scout main, my medic instincts kick in (hence the reason why I have swore to never become that 124hp Scout)

Fun surprisingly not known fact, you can have teammates automatically show up on your HUD once they take a certain amount of damage. It's in the advanced settings menu, and you can set it to call as soon as they take 1 damage (that's usually what I do).
I do that too! It turned out to be pretty useful, almost felt like an unfair advantage... Almost.
Also works great for spotting spies...

As a F2P who installed a few days ago, i immediately started training and researching how to be a medic to try and be useful once i finally get brave enough to enter Casual
Edit: I now have about 50 hours of experience with Medic. Many of these stereotypes are true. I also focus a lot more on healing and overhealing rather than Ubering, as I usually waste them or die. My crossbow remains an offensive tool despite aiming for teammates. I once missed an entire magazine of the Blutsauger on a Scout and killbinded. I do Amputator taunt when shit hits the fan. Life is great. Until I run into Perry the Platypus

As a medic main, I gotta say...the entire video is facts.
Sure, being the winning factor of your team and helping your allies feels good and all, but for me, surviving as the class with the lowest survivability in the game, standing your ground against enemies, eventually winning some fights by yourself, and managing the greatest escapes is what makes medic so fun to play.

@@gdptablet8504 Spy's survivability depends on one's knowledge and experience in the game, there are a good number of unlocks designed to help him survive better, Medic on the other hand, is always the most valuable and targeted class, and unlike spy, medic's offense is... not that great
@@JonathanSouza-ge8on same thing for medic, if you have enough experience with melee combat and syringe trygetory then you can have a better if not more survivability since medic syringes do higher ramp up and damage in one clip than spy's weapons combined(excluding amby and diamond back), yah sure a spy could still win more fights but that depends on how teams are balanced more then anything where as a medic can get out of a 2v1 much easier
@@gdptablet8504 Yeah, that's right, but as much as i love the syringe guns, i think the revolver is far more reliable in most situations, If the medic could use such a weapon, it would be much more combat efficient, but I'm pretty sure valve wouldn't want that, and it would probably screw the game's balance lol

Being a Medic main is being the most respected player in your team, specially when u heal ramdomly and not focusing on just one guy, but focusing on HP basis. In resume, feeling like the one deciding over others streaks and lives cause no one else will be playing Medic is just amazing.

Solemn gives you confidence in battle, that's why I like it.
If someone starts chasing you, then you can see that he is full hp/overhealed and you have to run for your life or that he has been a oneshot self-confident low hp fool all this time and that it's easier to run towards him and beat the shit out of him by yourself.
But I equip it when I don't quite trust my team in the current round, because if you do, the showdown with the enemies is entirely on your teammates, and you don't have to take the medigun out of hands.
So I see it not as a cooperative weapon, as it is positioned, but on the contrary.

OKAY so deadass, the Solemn Vow is the best melee for people like me who instinctively want to play hyper-aggressive
The Ubersaw encourages you to go for stupid plays jumping at anyone who's out of position for that sweet 25% uber, while with the Solemn Vow you know exactly what you're getting into with every lone-wolf soldier you come across and have absolutely no reason to run in like an idiot with your melee out
If you see an enemy whose health is in the red you can quickly switch to the crossbow and snipe their ass if you get caught out, whereas seeing a full-health soldier is Extra reinforcement to remind you that you're not making it out of this one alive and need to GTFO
The Ubersaw encourages you to do dumb shit if you see an engineer out in the open without his sentry, the Solemn Vow does not

I almost never pocket people unless there is literally only one guy pushing, and even then I will try my best to heal everybody. I like to heal all of my teammates and whenever I see a braindead medic who ignores me with 2 hp to heal their 300 overheal soldier I just die inside.

Weirdly enough as a medic main, I kind of hate the etiquette of not calling for medic. The button really helps me figure out who needs healing and who needs it now, opposed to me trying to work it out mid-fight which takes a hell of a lot longer and has certainly gotten people killed cause they’re “too nice” to just ask. I swear it’s either one person spamming it, or no one uses it at all.
