Excellent - Thank you. My T-800 is working, however, making a squeaky noise. I suppose I will get a replacement and clean up the old one as a back-up. I live in Baja California Sur MX and so finding anything down here - like a new T800 sometimes takes a double-effort. We will get it done. Thanks again.
@@fishydubsfishing6516 -- Thank you for the reply. I am following your thoughts by having my friend bring down a new pump T-800 to MX so I can replace it. He will be here Monday. I don’t need the squeak. The annoying squeak certainly isn’t calling fish. Keep up the good work.
5200 on threads?! Wouldn’t that make it nearly impossible to take off, in the event you need to take it off? That stuff is almost permanent once applied.
Thanks. Now I know what to expect when I get into my bilge to find out why my livewell pump started buzzing loudly (still pushing water, but somewhat at a reduced rate)
i see them on ebay and amazon, or a marine supply.yes you can go threw the transom, but when the boat is plained you might not get any water, allso i would us bronze not plastic
@@gunnerwaldmann6337 groco bronze threw hull fittings on ebay thay have every thing, in fact mine is plastic ,nylon,i will replace it with bronze latter, much safer, hope this helps
no, the t800 housing goes with the t800 pump head and impeller, the inlets might be the same size, but the disscharge on the t800 is 3/4, you may have 1/2 inch, you want the size thats biggest in the pump for max flow,if your threw the hull, make sure you have a shutoff valve, allso check the flow rate on the livewell over flow,to make sure it handles the increase in water flow, thanks for you question, and view
ok that was my first time and it was greasy and i could not get a grip and it was loose into the valve so i took the hole pump out i just got the boat now i can remove it with my eyes closed thanks for watching

good thought i should have used something like teflon tape or teflon paste
Never put 5200 on those threads, now it's permanent, if the housing ever cracks your screwed....teflon tape would have been just fine...
yea, i just wanted a good seal, i checked it after and it was very tight, it dont freeze here ,thanks for watching
I was sayin the same thing when he used 5200 lol, pipe dope of teflon was all that should have been used
I was thinking exactly the same thing when he said 5200. He will have to break off the valve portion if he has to replace that in the future.

could be some debris, push that little slat of plastic in ,just under the head , keeps it from turning ,then give the head a turn thanks for watching
Whew, she was clogged up alright. Good job fixing the issue yourself Gary!

Great info. I think I know what to do now. I have a key west too by the way. 🙂
great and i just had to unplug it today
Could you have eliminated the trash problem by putting a screen over the intake outside of hull?
that’s a great idea it came like that if I ever change the threw hull I will do that thanks for watching

He does not know what he is doing. There is a red tab u must push in to un screw the pump. Look carefully the top on the pump for red tab location
