Wow it’s really hard to say which is best. I’m pretty tempted to say they all sounded equally fantastic, which is a testament to Sumika’s playing. I would take any of them!
this is the best question for booth players, which one is the easiest one to play. I played Oboe 10y, I played on a borrowed instrument from school, and thanks to my ear, I played cleanly. A peer had a new YAMAHA oboe - there, consistent pressure ensured the purity of every sound. I had to figure things out. I joked that you could power his YAMAHA with a vacuum cleaner.
Wow! Great on all of them. For me, I liked the WO20 and 82Z best - tone, pitch, resonance we’re all right where they needed to be w/o being too bright or overly focused.
The MkVI has loads of character… but the intonation really doesn’t stand up to any of the other more modern horns. The Yanagisawas sound ok… but they don’t have they depth of sound compared to the Yamahas or the Series II/III Selmer horns. GREAT content. Thanks for creating this.

高校生の時、YAMAHA YSS-875EX使ってました！
今は6年程ソプラノから離れてるので久しぶりに吹いてみたくなりました😊
さすが・・・どれを鳴らしても素晴らしい音です。
個人的な感想ですが、セルマーは前の方が特徴的な音色でした。セルマーの色気があると言うか…。私はヤナギサワで育ってきたので、一番しっくりくるのですが、それも前より抵抗が強過ぎず吹きやすくなったからかもしれません。ヤマハは軽いイメージですね。
私は今のメインはS-WO20をネックを変えて。最初のソプラノはS-6でした。その後アンフリーのカーブド、マルカートのカーブドと吹きましたが、結局ヤナギサワに落ち着きました。

どのメーカーのモデルも個性があって魅力的な音ですね。
自分ははヤナギサワの S-wo20に総銀ネックを取り付けて吹いています。カーブドネックとストレートネックと両方持ってますが、ストレートネックの方を使う事が多いです。主にジャズの方で音楽やってます。
キャノンボールのビッグベルシリーズを使っています！
三大メーカーではないので、畑違い感が半端ないですが…。
マーク6は現代サックスとは鳴りのツボが違うんですかね？
セルマーの綺羅びやかさ、ヤナギサワの柔らかさ、ヤマハの安定感、どれも魅力的ですね
Series 2 the best. Well balance.. mark 6 solo piece. For classical
半世紀近く前の楽器が現代楽器と同じ土俵で比べられているのが凄い！自分もYAMAHAの62最初期を使っていますがどの楽器とも違います(^_^)

セルマーIIIがやっぱ聞き慣れてるからいいなーと思ってたんですけど、IIとの相性も良かった!
ソプラノサックスも会社によって音サウンドが違うね！ただ吹奏楽の音とオーケストラの音に使用する楽器はやはり違うと思うし、サックスは音量が大きいので奏者はかなり遠慮して吹いてるとの事でした。あしからず！
シリーズ3使ってます。今回演奏された楽器の中で一番ピッチがよかった楽器はどれでしょうか。
下の人がおっしゃっているようにどれもいい音がしますね。でもMK6は上手な人が吹いてもピッチ悪いですね、ガックシ。僕もMK6持ってますが、YSS-875EXを使ってます。

シリーズⅡが一番サックスらしい音色ですね。 シックスは音が弱いですね😕
音の微妙な変化が不思議ですね
音が平面的に聞こえる。柔らかく丸い音、やはりスピーカーを通すと音色が変わるのかな？
