I worked fifteen years for the United States federal government and Amy's info loop was a constant thing for me dealing with that bureaucracy. I laughed hard at that scene because it was all too real and I got info loop flashbacks.
One of the best subtle running gags in this show is "never meet your heroes" It has literally never gone well for any of the characters in the show: Holt and the criminal musician, Terry and the jerk author, Jake and his many, many encounters, Amy and the bureaucrat, Rosa and Marshawn Lynch, etc etc
IM SO EXCITED FOR "ahh detective peralta how are things going with kevin, the love of my life? wait, why are you here at this late hour? and whose blood is that? it's kevin's? this is devastating. I'm inconsolable. AND I've killed myself."
I remember being somewhat disappointed by season 5 when I first saw it for some unknown reason (probably because season 4 was my favourite up to that point). I definitely need to rewatch it because seeing the guys' reactions is just making me aware of how many golden gags I overlooked during my first watch
LOL the de blasio line always gets me as an actual new yorker...the roads were so terrible during his administration and adams' isn't doing much better xD
when it rains the FDR floods like it's East Africa during a monsoon season (Tanzania in February). it's been 25+ yrs and the holes are still there. NYC gets as many 311 calls as it does 911.
Even if you have seen The Godfather, you might not recognize Diane Keaton right away; she was pretty young then and looks very different now when she usually has glasses and greyish/dyed hair
Never saw the Godfather but find it interesting that Coppola apparently said, I don't know for sure, that people get it wrong. It is supposed to be a tragic tale of a man who could not escape his family and ended up pulled in to a life he never wanted, but most people see it as more of an action more and it glamorize that world, which is not what he was going for.
I dont think anyone would describe it as an action movie. There is a degree of glamourization in that it distinguishes between more and less honourable factions in that underworld, obviously the audience is more drawn to what's depicted as a more traditional and honourable family. But it's very clearly not what Michael wanted his life to be, and he's dragged into that world for the sake of his family.
@@MikeHesk742 Well said, action movie may not the right word, but they watch it as a cool, badass, I want to be that instead of what a tragedy. People have mafia themed bars and parties which is weird to me. Hey let's have a party where the theme is those guys who murder, extort, threaten and steal. It like the local biker gang who are human trafficking but people are like cool Sons of Anarchy! I'm like did you miss the enslaved people and didn't that show end with everyone dead. Oversimplification I know and like I said I have not seen the movie.
@@kweeniepiez how do you know that if you haven’t seen it ? 🤨 that literally makes no sense. Plus it’s a top tier cinema classic, people should at least see it once in their life. Whether they like it or not is up to them, but it’s critically acclaimed for a reason.
Unfortunately everyone knows a Fredo/Kyle. And they may be fun and have good hearts, but for the sake of the species they should never be allowed to breed.
The laughs aren't coming as often therefore there's noticeably less to talk about from fewer notes. Did the writers change recently or something? Maybe it's when they have a darker, more serious storyline, the comedic pace has to slow, to fit the darker scenes in with the flow of the show.

Idk the Rosa thing is just the Marshall Lynch talking too much, everyone else is a genuine douchebag at times
but terry´s hero is a cop...so everytime he goes to work he meets several of his heroes
Holt and Amy with that guy that used flies to detect blood
But Amy made well with that puzzle master. I dont remember his name
