I have a 2013 Limited w/tech pkg. Well he almost got it right. This is the same frame as the Lexus 350 and not the Camry. The V6 is the same in this car as the ES350 and most other Toyota models. For some reason if you buy the Lexus you will pay $6K to 10K more and they recommend premium fuel.
Those high tech touch switches have been around for over 30 years. The do work excellent on this car and are rated the best in the industry.
Older Avalon owners may not like the drive of this car. the body has more welds and the suspension is stiffer. The ride can be a bit jolting over expatiation joints but it is a great car with the latest smartphone and Bluetooth hookups.
Excellent value for the money and the Toyota resale value.

Beautiful car when you see it in person. Looks long and lean. And the interior is very luxurious, and uses different colors and textures very well, with high-end materials above the base trim. Suspension is set up too firm, and drives like a Nissan Maxima, not a typical Avalon (They are revising the suspension to be more compliant in 2016). So in 2015, it is more fun to drive than you think, but not as smooth on the road as you'd like.
Due to it's very light weight (under 3600 lbs), the V6 moves it quickly and easily. Back seat is a little smaller than before, but can still carry large adults in back. The 2016 revisions should correct the one issue. You can get a very-well equipped Avalon for under $40k

I think they should have left the Avalon as an Old Person car, and brought back the celiac for the younger crowd. Or make the LTD top of the line model a car that is closer to the 2012 and early models i.e., smoother and quieter (NO low profile tires)

Yeah now there are no cars built for older people Buick has done the same thing, none of these cars have the ride of an old Buick. They just toss the old people a side just like the rest of society has.

Just got a 2015 Avalon Hybrid Premium. Love the car, hate the gps. Cannot program the gps when moving. My navigator(my wife) programs the garmin while we move. Unlike the Garmin, the Avalon must be stopped. People have been ticketed for stopping on a highway shoulder a I fear being rear ended by a semi. The audio program just doesn't get it much of the time. Oh well. wished I known before I bought it. I've been requested "hounded" to pay extra for the S.O.S., entunes, and Sirius monthly fees. I feel like I've been duped after I bought my first $45,000 car. Oh did I mention the paint and dent protection, extended warranty and the service warranty? At least Toyota doesn't use nitrogen in the tires.

They ruined this car - I HATE IT! I had a 2011 that was totaled - the 2014 - they not only shortened it, thus it is no longer a smooth comfortable ride but the narrowed it as well and the driver foot room is now it is worse than the crappy Dodge Charger I have to drive for work - such an uncomfortable ride if you have to drive any distance - the seats are bucket now - hard and very uncomfortable!!!!!!!!!
In wanting to appeal to a younger crowd - they lost us older folks who only want comfort quiet ride= did I say you feel every bump in the road on your back and despite what they say - it is NOT Quieter. It has been cheaped out and The inside is so ugly - whoever did this should be FIRED - I will NEVER buy another one - they lost this once loyal Toyota customer!
