That reverse tobacco chamois at 2:50 is absolutely incredible. God I wish Grant Stone would release a Diesel or Edward in this style. The waxed tobacco comes close, but is a bit too orange for me. That Alden is really exceptional.

GREAT video! I’m a big fan of these type of leathers. The Edward Boot also comes in a Roughout, which I own. Interesting to here your thoughts on the Waxed Tobacco model. Waxed Roughout and Waxy Commander are different leathers and I’m glad you shed light on this.
I’m really digging the Brass Boot in Earth. I need a dark boot I can wear when it’s rainy or soggy and this one might be it!

Huh. The Earth Waxy Commander looks way darker in this video than on the GS site. I just ordered a sample pair in Storm Waxy Commander, which looks like more of a charcoal gray. But I have to say, the Natural Waxy Commander looks like it ages the best.

Yes it is, the wax does prevent some circulation but ultimately Leather breathes, just very slowly haha
