- The footage in question comes from Laos in which a man claims to have caught on camera footage of the Thai cryptid, the Gong Goi. The unexplained footage lasted about 10 seconds with no willingness to further comment from the man who recorded the strange creature. We believe have an explanation and debunk for the mysterious video that was making its way around the internet a few months back... hey guys i belive that the "ghost" you saw at 7:23 was the pole that the string was on. I think it was a puppet being suspended and hopping exactly like a bird marionette (example ruclips.net/video/hxsumo1_Cmo/видео.html ) I think someone was in the tall grass crouched down far enough back as to not disturb the grass up front. and had the puppet hanging up and over the grass by a pole.
And no, Professor Longassname, people can’t hop like that.
It looks like some kind of lemur to me. It has a hairy tail with black hair on the end.

My first impression when I saw it hopping was it's a kangaroo, but then you guys pointed out the size. I think maybe a baby kangaroo or a wallaby, with something stuck on it. That's probably why it's moving oddly; because it's trying to get, whatever it is, off.
Looks like an injured animal or possibly an animal dragging something it killed.

It reminds me of a Wallaby, but a Wallaby with very good posture. The movement is very Wallaby/Kangaroo-esque and to be perfectly honest - these things can survive anywhere. There are a surprising amount of populations of Wallabies in the UK and at least on in France and that's about as far away from its native habitat as you could get.

I don't know if there are lemurs in that area but the way it moves and holds itself looks like some type of lemur. Not sure about the black "hair" on its tail tho.

You were right that you were looking at an animals back side. It’s a lemur, they have very long tails that curve as it’s seen in the video and they hop to get around.
Its most likely a skunk; the rest of the body can be seen and it really just looks like a skunk that has extremely long hair on the tail. However if it is truly recorded where they say it could be a domestic skunk that had ran away.
In certain spots it almost looks like two mammals mating. With one mounting the other from behind.
I also saw that! I even said animals hop like that when they are inside one another XD
But it's actually a tail you see the black outline its black on topside and white underneath. The hair part is where the tail bends

I saw a duck recently who had one leg and it moved almost the exact same way as that thing. I agree that it’s the first bird mentioned.
I think it's definitely a bird. The black part that y'all says "swings" looks like a duck bill. The hopping is super weird but birds are kinda strange. Also love your channel and have been following for a couple years now but never commented. I love your sense of humor and how you evaluate each video very thuroughly and honestly. Its a puppet, you can see the wood attached it along the line of grass go up and down as it hops.
It's definetly a rabbit of some sort. But rather than the thing attached to the animals butt. Why not the ears? I feel it makes more sense with the movement. Especially at the point where it bends. I'd also bet money that this thing is the dude's pet.

It looks fake...besides...the real gong goi is a demon bird with slanted vertical eyes from laos...it cries out gong goi...and thats how it gets its name.

I've never ever seen a skunk move like that. It's also too tall... If it's a bird that's a really really odd bird... If it's a small person, imagine how tough there feet would have to be and consider the balance you'd need... My bet is that this is a foreign B Movie. I think this is most likely a puppet with a complicated rig... If this was legit, the filmer has a steady hand and some serious fortitude to follow a monster from folklore.
