They do advertise the lumen count, but it'll be in fine print on the box or on the spec sheet for the product on the company's website. That's how I did a value check for some new Beamz pars I got that hold a smaller footprint than the Chauvet's they were replacing :)

Yeah many companies can tell you lumens, but many still can't. Same goes for SPL

LED is great for Dj's now, but As a Lighting enthusiast, I still collect a lot of older Halogen, incandescent and Fluorescent lighting. Sure, 100 watts is 100 watts but you're right, it isn't the output, it's the wattage.

Many Chinese LED lamps have very suspect specifications.......

For years I used to conflate Watts with VA (Volt Amperes)...took a minute to get over that and realize watts is how we measure real power, so to speak.
A good rule of thumb for people is to look at the Specs/Datasheets for the things they're using, not the marketing bs. The answers you really want are in the sheets.

Measure in Lumens, Decibels, Amount of Gas per Range (Car Talk), Frames + Efficiency per Dollar (PC Gaming) etc ok got it ^_^
Only measure in watts if you have a certain value target like on my Behringer EPS500MP3 which is up to 250w+250w stereo PA system that consumes up to 90watts (Class D Amplifiers are very efficient) of electricity from the wall. I cannot find the maximum decibels this speaker set produces anywhere online but I'm guessing its way below a hundred db. I know its purpose as a main PA or support top or floor cabinet and definitely Shouldn't be used for main horn for blasting ultra loud or long range intense music (there are other loudspeakers designed for that)! But if you have no choice, put em up high on the tripod as possible and cut off very low frequencies roll em vibrating bass to the subwoofers. If you don't have subs then accept defeat and settle for acoustic PA sounds which this is designed for ^_^
