  • Weidmann’s in Meridian, Peggy’s in Philadelphia, tailgating, BTC Grocery in Water Valley
Downtown Jackson provides a backdrop for Mississippi’s diverse culinary offerings, and in this episode we’ll sample some of the state’s most beloved restaurants: classics and newcomers alike.
Weidmann’s in Meridian is still going strong after almost 150 years, providing a community anchor for generations of diners. There’s nothing like good old home cooking at places like Peggy’s in Philadelphia. Traditional tailgating fare provides energy for some cheering on the Bulldogs at Mississippi State. And newcomers to Water Valley are impressing locals and national visitors alike at the BTC Grocery.

I don't know what ur insulating because Mississippi is one of the few states that have a vast huge population of black born american people .My parents were born in Mississippi and they both are now buried in Mississippi with their family members who died way passed a hundred years ago And Mississippi is such a beautiful state full of beautiful land clean rural areas and the cities are beautiful as well The people are full of southern hospitality and GOD fearing people too
Unlike Florida with everyone from everywhere mixed here
With not much respect or oppurtunities for american born black people because we have too many islanders who have came to Florida and has made a muck of it because there's not
Much of a future for them in their native born islands
U can't decide the population of black people and cuisine of Mississippi based on these older white men video because as of today Mississippi is known for southern soul food state all over with the white people beating you there for soul food because I just left Mississippi a few months ago from burying my beloved Mom
Just take a trip one day and u will see and this video is tryin to keep this little old restaurant with these old white people in business because all this food they name is being made and have been made by the majority of black people restaurants the best cooks best chefs

It is always that way in these videos that try to overlook blatant racism. Note they did not mention soul food.

Wait ✋ Did you actually sit through this entire video and count the black folks? How many black RUclips channels do you subscribe to? What do you think happened? Do you think they hid all the black folks during filming? Do you think the black folks wanted to appear in the video somewhere in the background where most of the folks in the video seem to be? In the background! It would never cross my mind to count how many black folks or white folks appear in a video. The video has absolutely nothing to do with race and here you are obsessing over race. Unbelievable!
