Absolutely beautiful. You make the song sound like it was composed for fretless bass.
Another exquisite performance of an exquisite piece.
Thank you!
beautiful and so moving, I only wish it was longer, I could listen to this all day :D
Simply beautiful!
This was a really bold move, ESPECIALLY doing it on the fretless where the potential of clashing intonation is so evident. I came across this because I'm thinking of making it my next piece and wondered if any other bassists attempted it. Nicely done.
Thanks Nelson!
Arran !!! how beautiful !! Amazing sounds.... Pleasure
completely blown away amazing
Honestly, your intonation is excellent! Really inspiring stuff. Truly. This should have more views.
Mesmerizing, and Beautiful
Beautiful! Great arrangement. Bravo Arran!
brianderek Thank you!
Great job Arran, I know how difficult it is to maintain good intonation on a fretless bass guitar, and you do it justice.
Well played man!
Thank you, it really means a lot :)
Brilliant
This awesome Arrant, I wish someday I will accompany you...
Well done! :)
This is hard enough on piano!
BRAVO MAN! AMAZING!!!
(from Debussy's country)

I totally love it since the day I heard it for the first time. Ten per cent of views can be mine ha ha. Keep up the great work!
Thank you Adam Gordon :)
Cuanto más lo escucho ,más me gusta......✨✳️❇️💚
I wish it didn't cut off before the end. I was enjoying it.
In some odd weird way this really works. And it works very well.
❤️
excellent! im currently undertaking the mammoth task of ravels string quartet on my fretless guitar challenge is fun!
Wow, good luck with that! :)
I love playing things that weren't originally written for bass guitar - it's great to push yourself all the time as it keeps things interesting!
💯💯💯💯💯💯
Way awesome playing man! So difficult. Can only imagine your powers of focus and dedication. So two tracks?
I recorded the left and right hands separately, yes. I'm glad you like it!
that layered fretless sound is fucking golden. is that two tracks?
The left and right hands are recorded separately
can"t speak so good.
That's very kind of you, thank you
My friend plays bass. And, believe me, his intonation is good, so... it's possible
This is fantastic man! Is this a piccolo bass or a standard?
Hi Shannon,
Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you like it! :)
It's standard 6-string bass tuning of BEADGC, but I have 27 frets on this bass, so I can reach an Eb (although there is an artificial harmonic in there which I use to hit a high F at the top of the chord at 1:42)
All the best,
Arran
What's the name of this bass?
It's a Mayones Caledonius
Intonation?
Good performance but the sound is too thin.
