    In one of my facebook groups someone suggested cutting strips from yogurt and sour cream containers to use as labels. The lids and bottoms of these containers can also be used as dividers within the gallon jug if you want to do different plants within the same bottle.

    What is the window for winter sowing seeds that need 30d cold stratification. Could I still start them outdoors if my last frost date is mid-May?

      It depends on the seed, but if it says 30 or 60 day cold stratification is needed, I would go for it if you can plant soon. It doesn't need to be freezing for the stratification period, just cold. Sometimes you can get good germination just from one month of stratification.
      But some species are tough to germinate, some of the trees and shrubs are like that, so it does depend on the species.
