@@ExpeditionHiker I’m very excited to watch this. I am beginning to plan a pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago in 2023. Now I am thinking of adding this pilgrimage to that plan. Thanks for sharing!!
Recently came across your channel and, being a long distance trail walker myself, I found this really enjoyable and looking forward to watching the other episodes. Love the historical facts and info that you mention along the way as it all adds to the flavour of any walk. Thanks.
Thanks, I do enjoy my long distance walks and also like history and facts so great that I can combine them, planning hopefully an epic walk for next year, although also trying to go ultralight but problem is apart from buying from state side and having import taxes to pay, no gear is available in the UK, fingers crossed and can get the gear soon
I’m really curious about this hike. As a woman hiking alone, would I be safe? As an American, are there any customs or expectations I need to think about? I’m planning on going in two or three years. Thanks!
Hi, thanks for your comment - I met a couple of ladies while walking the trail who were hiking alone, so I would say it is a safe route to hike, I think as long as you don't draw to much attention to yourself all should be fine - I am a 6'3 stocky ex soldier, so personally have no problems with walking alone, if you have a look at the Facebook group for the Pilgrims Way, there are plenty of ladies that add comments to walking the route
