You've got to give credit to Kaido too for holding up to a seemingly overpowered devil fruit Luffy has. At this point in the anime, I just don't see anyone that will hold a candle against Luffy anymore. If the strongest creature can't, then no one else can.
To be fair, Kaido had to fight the Red Scabbards and Izou, then Luffy, Law, Kid, Zoro and Killer, then Law and Zoro, then Luffy again, then Yamato, then he was bitten by Momonosuke, then Luffy again, then Gear 5 Luffy. Luffy was defeated three times in this fight alone, while Kaido stood up strong the entire time, while simultaneously lifting and moving Onigashima. Luffy is extremely powerful, definitely, but it took A LOT of collective effort to defeat Kaido.

You know what I just noticed... Enel's lightning didn't affect Luffy, NOT because Luffy was rubber, but because he's rubber-LIKE, and that was enough of a comedic reason for the Nikka fruit to work
